Hay muchos diferentes senderos a través de los cuales podemos ganar la Gracia del Señor. Los senderos de la sabiduría (jnana), de la acción (karma) y del yoga son más dificultosos que el sendero de la devoción (Bhakti). La devoción nos ayuda a alcanzar a Dios, a estar cerca de Él, y comprender al Señor y Sus milagros. De entre todos los otros senderos, el más corto y el más fácil es el del amor. Dios es una encarnación del amor. El sendero del amor es el más indicado para alcanzar a Dios y comprender Su divinidad. El amor divino (Prema) no es algo exclusivo de un individuo, de una comunidad, o de un objeto específico. Es muy amplio, inegoísta, y en continua expansión. Es sólo cuando ampliemos nuestro amor usando estos principios que podremos comprender y experimentar el sagrado amor divino de Dios. (Rosas de Verano en las

To enable us to earn the grace of the Lord, there are so many different paths. The paths of wisdom (jnana), action (karma), and yoga are more difficult than the path of devotion (Bhakti). Devotion will help us reach God, be close to God, and understand the Lord and His miracles. Amongst all the other paths, the shortest and easiest path is the path of love. God is an embodiment of love. To reach God and to understand His divinity, the path of love is the best approach. Divine love (prema) is not something which is fixed either on an individual, or a community, or a specific object. It is very wide, selfless and ever expanding. It is only when we broaden our love using these principles, we will be able to understand and experience the sacred divine love from God. [Summer Roses on Blue Mountains, 1976, Ch. 14]

El ser humano no es tan sólo una criatura con manos y pies, ojos y oídos, cabeza y tronco; tú eres mucho más que el total de todos estos órganos y miembros. En realidad, los miembros son sólo crudas imágenes tomadas del molde. Posteriormente tú debes ser esmerilado, raspado, lustrado, perfeccionado y ablandado a través del intelecto. Así llegarás a ser el candidato ideal para la Divinidad, que es tu verdadero destino. Los impulsos serán purificados y tus intenciones serán elevadas a un nivel más alto y más noble, solamente si eliges dedicar todas tus acciones, palabras y pensamientos al Señor. Para lograr esto es esencial tener fe en la Inteligencia Suprema, la cual concibió, conserva y consume este Universo. Lo siguiente es estar convencido de tu propia impotencia y desasosiego en medio de tu propia aflicción. Así
lograrás facilmente la entrega a esa Inteligencia Suprema. Por lo tanto, cultiva la fe y la entrega. La Gracia fluirá entonces naturalmente a través de ti hacia cada acto que realices. (Divino Discurso, 17 de marzo 1966 )

 

Human being is not just a creature with hands and feet, eyes and ears, head and trunk; you are much more than a total of all these organs and parts. The parts in fact are only crude images from the mould. You must then be ground, scraped, polished, perfected and softened through the intellect. Then you will become the ideal candidate for Divinity, which is your real destiny. The impulses will be rendered pure and your intentions will be raised to a higher and nobler level, only if you choose to dedicate all your deeds, words and thoughts to the Lord. To accomplish this, faith in the one Supreme Intelligence, which conceived, conserves and consumes this Universe is essential. The next is to be convinced of your own helplessness and distress at your own grief. Then you will easily achieve surrender to that Supreme Intelligence. Therefore cultivate faith and surrender. El Avatar del Señor es el verdadero Gurú, quien es muy superior y más compasivo que todos los Gurúes. El puede otorgar – mediante la mera expresión de Su voluntad – la más alta consumación de la vida espiritual. Hasta el peor de los malvados puede adquirir en un instante la más honda sabiduría, tal es el poder del Gurú de todos los Gurúes. Un verdadero Gurú te robará tu corazón, no tus riquezas. Cuando la más completa encarnación de Dios desciende como humano, tú también debes desarrollar el poder de atraer al dador de la Iluminación para que derrame Su Gracia sobre ti. Debes concentrarte en el servicio al Gurú y reflexionar sobre Sus enseñanzas. Debes estar ansioso por trasladar Su enseñanza a la actividad diaria y a la práctica efectiva. Debes colmar tu corazón con devoción y
dedicar toda tu habilidad a poner en práctica la guía del Gurú. Sólo tal persona es acreedora al título de discípulo (sishya). ( Sathya sai Vahini, Capítulo 13 )

 

The Avatar of the Lord is the real Guru, who is far more superior and compassionate than all Gurus. He can, by the mere expression of His will, confer the highest consummation of spiritual life. Even the meanest of the mean can acquire the highest wisdom, in a trice. Such is the power of the Guru of all Gurus. A real guru will steal your heart, not your wealth. When the fullest embodiment of God comes down as a human, you too must develop the power to attract the giver of illumination to bestow His Grace on you. You must concentrate on service to the Guru and ruminate over His teachings. You must be eager to translate His teaching into daily activity and actual practices. You must fill your heart with devotion and dedicate all your skill for the actualization of the Guru’s counsel. Such a person alone deserves the title of a pupil (sishya). Les traigo el mensaje que les conferirá fuerza, paz, esperanza y realización. Puede que no sea agradable (priya), ¡pero sin duda será beneficioso (hitha)! Un paciente tiene que tomar medicamentos y realizar un régimen que sea beneficioso; no puede pedir sólo medicinas dulces y un régimen cómodo que le agrade. ¡El doctor sabe lo que es mejor para el paciente! A decir verdad, traten a su cuerpo como una herida, que necesita ser lavada, vendada y tratada con medicina tres o cuatro veces al día. Ese es el verdadero propósito de la comida y la bebida. Para curar la enfermedad de la sed, el agua es la medicina. La comida es la medicina para curar la enfermedad del hambre. El desapego es la medicina para curar la enfermedad de las ansias de placer. Para el anhelo puro por la Divinidad y la búsqueda que está impulsada por él, el primer paso necesario es un auto
examen riguroso para eliminar todos los malos hábitos, tendencias y cualidades desde dentro. (Discurso Divino, 16 de marzo de 1966)

 

I bring you the message that will confer strength, peace, hope and fulfillment. It may not be pleasing (priya), but it will surely be beneficial (hitha)! A patient has to take drugs and put himself through regimen that is beneficial; he cannot ask for only sweet medicines and comfortable regimen which pleases him. The Doctor knows what is best for the patient! Truly speaking, treat your body as a wound, that needs to be washed, bandaged and treated with medicine thrice or four-times a day. That is the real purpose of food and drink. To cure the disease of thirst, water is the drug. Food is the medicine to cure the disease of hunger. Detachment is the medicine to cure the disease of craving for pleasure. For the pure yearning for the Divine and the pursuit that is impelled by it, the necessary first step is a rigorous self-examination to remove all evil habits, tendencies and qualities from within.
