Si te apegas al Señor a través del sendero del amor (Prema), te será posible tomar conciencia de Él. El amor de Dios es como un infinito, interminable océano, pero simplemente por eso no puedes llevártelo todo contigo. Lo que puedas llevarte dependerá del tamaño del envase que emplees, de modo que la primera cosa a hacer es agrandar el tamaño de tu envase, y esto se consigue mediante la práctica espiritual (Sadhana). El primer paso en Sadhana es respeto por tu madre. La devoción hacia la madre debería ser de tal manera que reconozcas el gran amor y afecto con los que ella te ha criado. Debes devolver gratitud a tu madre en la forma de amor o Bhakti. La madre también mostrará Bhakti en la forma de Vatsalya (cariño de madre por su hijo) en respuesta al amor del niño.

If you attach yourself to the Lord through the path of love (prema), it will be possible to realise Him. God’s love is like an infinite and endless ocean. Simply because God’s love is infinite and endless, you cannot carry all of it with you. What you can carry with you will depend on the size of the pot you take. So the first thing to do is to enlarge the size of your pot, and this can be done through spiritual practice (sadhana). The first step in Sadhana, is respect for your mother. The devotion towards the mother should be such that you recognise the great love and affection with which your mother has brought you up. You must return gratitude to your mother in the form of love or bhakti. The mother will also show bhakti in the form of vatsalya (affection of mother for child), in return to the love of the child. Cuando disfrutas en la contemplación del esplendor del Señor, nada material puede atraerte. todo lo que este mundo tiene para ofrecer te parecerá inferior, y sólo la compañía del justo y humilde te agradará. Los grandes santos que han cantado la Gracia del Señor han tomado conciencia de Él en el altar de sus propios corazones. El inmaculado amor y devoción que ellos transmitieron mediante sus cánticos han fertilizado millones de desecados corazones de devotos. La recitación del Nombre del Señor y la observancia de las prácticas espirituales que ellos eligieron, han permitido a muchos aspirantes ganarse al Señor rápida e íntimamente. El amor y devoción de ellos son tan fuertes y profundos que ninguna desilusión podría jamás conmover su fe. Ramdas, Tukaram, Meera, y muchos otros son maravillosos ejemplos de
eso y han construído para toda la humanidad el majestuoso camino de la devoción. Es deber de ustedes ahora estar a la altura de la herencia recibida de vuestros piadosos antepasados, para que así alcancen el desarrollo espiritual. (Divino Discurso, 17 Marzo 1966).

 

When you revel in the contemplation of the splendour of the Lord, nothing material can attract you. Everything this world has to offer will seem inferior. The company of the godly and the humble alone will be relished. Great saints who have sung the Grace of the Lord have realised Him in the altar of their own hearts. The unsullied love and devotion they transmitted through their songs has fertilized millions of devotees’ parched hearts. Reciting the Lord’s Name and observing their chosen spiritual practices have enabled many an aspirant to win over the Lord quickly and intimately. So strong and deep is their love and devotion that no disappointment could ever shake their faith. Ramdas, Tukaram, Meera and many others are wonderful examples of the above, and they have built the royal road of devotion for all of humanity. It is your duty now to live up to the heritage handed to you for your development by your pious forefathers. [Divine

Cuando la luna brilla en el cielo, puedes verla directamente, sin requerir la ayuda de una linterna, o una lámpara, o cualquier otra luz artificial. La razón es que nos resulta posible mirar a la luna mediante su propia luz. De la misma forma, si deseas estar más cerca de Dios o serle más querido o comprender a Dios, quien es la encarnación del amor, te será posible hacerlo solamente mediante el amor, que es su propia naturaleza. Dios, encarnación del amor, no está confinado a un único lugar o país. Él está presente en todos lados, en cada punto y rincón del mundo. Por lo tanto todos, incluyéndote, deben amar a todos y considerar que amar a todos los seres es amar a Dios, ya que Él está presente en cada ser viviente. Estando Dios desprovisto de egoísmo, tú también debes practicar el servicio inegoísta. (Rosas de

When the moon shines in the sky, you can see it directly. You do not require the aid of a torch, or a lamp, or any other artificial light. The reason is it is possible for us to look at the moon by the light of the moon. In the same manner, if you want to be nearer and dearer to God or understand God, who is an embodiment of love, it will be possible to do so only by means of love which is His very nature. God who is the embodiment of love, is not confined to one place or country. He is present everywhere, in every nook and corner of the world. Hence everyone, including youth must love all and regard loving all beings as loving God, as God is present in every living being. Since God is selfless, you must also practice serving selflessly. Cuando cultiven la fe y la entrega, no tendrán preocupaciones sobre las consecuencias de sus acciones. Todos sus pensamientos y acciones serán puros, saturados con amor y conducentes a la paz, porque sus acciones ya no serán suyas sino de Él, y ustedes serán libres. Por lo tanto, purifiquen sus corazones y conviértanlos en un espejo limpio, de manera que el Señor pueda reflejarse en él con todo su completo esplendor y grandeza. Los deseos que se adhieren a la mente son las máculas que manchan la propia consciencia interior. Controlen sus sentidos. No cedan a sus insistentes demandas de satisfacción. Cuando un cadáver es colocado sobre una pira y el fuego es encendido, el cuerpo y la pira son ambos reducidos a cenizas. De la misma forma, cuando los sentidos son controlados, la mente también desaparece, la ilusión muere y se logra la liberación. Recuerden,
la fe en Dios es la mejor ayuda para lograr la victoria espiritual. (Divino Discurso, 17 de Marzo 1966 ).

 

When you cultivate faith and surrender, you will have no concern about the consequences of your actions. All your thoughts and actions will be pure, saturated with love and conducive to peace, for your actions are no longer your acts, they are His, and you will be free. Therefore cleanse your hearts and make it a clear mirror, so that the Lord may be reflected therein, in all His full splendor and grandeur. The desires that cling to the mind are the blemishes that tarnish one’s inner consciousness. Control your senses. Do not yield to their insistent demands for satisfaction. When a corpse is placed on pyre and it is lit, the corpse and the pyre are both reduced to ashes. So too when the senses are negated, the mind too disappears. When the mind disappears, delusion dies and liberation is achieved. Remember, faith in God is the best reinforcement of spiritual victory. [Divine Discourse, Mar 17, 1966]
