Desarrollar fe en el Principio del Atma y amarlo con sinceridad – esto es verdadera adoración. El Atma es el uno y único Amado para la humanidad. Sientan que es más digno de amor que cualquier objeto de aquí o del más allá. Esa es la verdadera adoración que uno puede ofrecer a Dios. Deben vivir en el mundo donde han nacido como la hoja del loto, la que, a pesar de haber nacido en el agua, flota sobre ella sin ser afectada o mojada. Por supuesto, es bueno amar y adorar a Dios con la visión de obtener algún fruto ahora o en el más allá, pero al no haber un fruto u objeto más valioso que Dios o que valga más la pena que Dios mismo, los Vedas nos aconsejan amar a Dios sin traza de deseo en nuestras mentes. Amen, ya que deben amar por el bien del Amor; amen a Dios, porque lo que sea que Él puede darles es menos que Él mismo; ámenlo solo a

Develop faith in the Atma principle and love it earnestly —this is true worship. The Atma is the one and only Loved One for humanity. Feel that it is more lovable than any object here or hereafter —that is the true adoration one can offer to God. You must live in the world where they are born like the lotus leaf, which, though born in water, floats upon it without being affected or wetted by it. Of course, it is good to love and adore God with a view to gain some valuable fruit either here or hereafter, but since there is no fruit or object more valuable than God or more worthwhile than God, the Vedas advise us to love God with no touch of desire in our minds. Love, since you must love for love’s sake; love God, since whatever He can give is less than He Himself; love Him alone, with no other wish or demand. (Sathya Sai Vahini, Ch 1)

Indudablemente la vida humana es la más alta en evolución, y para darle significado , el empeño y esfuerzo espiritual que sean puros y santos son esenciales. Para esta forma de vida, el carácter es lo más importante. El carácter hace a la vida inmortal; sobrevive incluso a la muerte. Algunos dicen que el conocimiento es poder, pero no es verdad. El carácter es poder. Incluso la adquisición de conocimiento demanda un buen carácter. Entonces todos deben aspirar a alcanzar un carácter sin tacha, sin rastro de malicia. Buddha, Jesucristo, Shankaracharya y Vivekananda, lo mismo que grandes sabios, santos y devotos del Señor están atesorados en la memoria de la gente, ¡incluso hasta nuestros días! ¿Qué cualidad los hizo a todos memorables para todos los tiempos?¡Es su carácter! Sin carácter, la riqueza, la educación y el
estatus social no tienen valor. El carácter es la fragancia de la flor; le da valía. Los poetas, pintores, artistas y científicos pueden ser grandes, cada uno en su campo, pero sin carácter, no pueden sostenerse en la sociedad. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Prema Vahini, Capitulo 1.

 

Human life is undoubtedly the highest in evolution, and to give it meaning, spiritual endeavour and effort that is pure and holy, is essential. For this way of life, character is most important. Character makes life immortal; it survives even death. Some say that knowledge is power, but it is not true. Character is power. Even the acquisition of knowledge demands a good character. So everyone must yearn to attain flawless character, without any trace of evil. Buddha, Jesus Christ, Shankaracharya, and Vivekananda, as well as great sages, saints and devotees of the Lord are treasured in the memory of people even to this day! What quality made them all memorable for all times? It is their character! Without character, wealth, education, and social status are of no avail. Character is the fragrance of the flower; it gives value and worth. Poets, painters, artists, and scientists may be great, each in their own field, but without character, they can have

El amor se despliega primero sobre el regazo de la madre. Los ojos del Amor los atan al rostro cariñoso de la madre. Luego se esparce hacia el padre, hermanos y hermanas, consanguíneos, amigos y compañeros de juego, región e idioma, mundo y su Creador. EL «yo» que vive dentro del cuerpo es como un león en la cueva. Él es el monarca de la selva; pero se limita solo a unos pies cuadrados de piso de piedra. Déjenlo salir, renunciando a las posesiones insignificantes. Siempre y cuando se identifiquen en la consciencia del cuerpo (soy el cuerpo), ¡son el león limpiando la cueva mohosa! No se sientan Dehosmi ( yo soy el cuerpo) ¡Rujan Brahmasmi! (yo soy Brahman)- Soy todo esto y más, soy todo esto que es, fue y será. Entonces la pequeñez, tiempo, espacio, ego- todo huirá del corazón! Serán Amor, Amor, Amor, y nada más. Esto es decir,

Love unfolds first on the lap of the mother. The eyes of Love fasten themselves on the caressing face of the mother. It then spreads towards the father, brothers and sisters, kith and kin, friend and playmate, region and language, world and its Maker. The ‘I’ that lives within the body is like a lion in a cave. It is the monarch of the forest; but it limits itself to the few square feet of rocky floor. Let it come out, renouncing the petty possession. So long as you crib yourselves into the body-consciousness (I am the body), you are the lion moping in the musty cave! Do not feel, Dehosmi (I am the body). Roar Brahmasmi!(I am Brahman) – I am all this and more, I am all this is, was, and will be. Then the littleness, time, space, ego – all will flee from your heart! Pueden creer profundamente en Dios tanto a través del maarga del Jnana, Bhakti o Karma (sendas del conocimiento, adoración o trabajo). Pueden viajar en primera, segunda o tercera clase en el tren; el destino es el mismo. El Jnana procede en asumir que Dios es inmanente y trascendente. El Bhakti cree que Dios es el Creador, Peservador y Destructor, que Él debe ser adorado, y propiciado por acciones que Él aprecia, que Dios es el Amo y tú eres privilegiado por servirlo. El Karma toma en cuenta una tercera categoría: ¡La Naturaleza! El hombre debe utilizar la Naturaleza, vivir en la Naturaleza, vivir de la Naturaleza, siempre dedicando la actividad para la Gloria de Dios, relegándose a sí mismo a la actividad de reverenciar, sin preocuparse de los frutos de la actividad, ya que están en manos de Dios. Los tres colores: Jnana, Bhakti y Karma son solo diferentes cuando la luz

You can hold fast to God either through Jnana, Bhakti or Karma maarga (paths of knowledge, worship or work). You may travel first, second or third class in the train; the destination is the same. Jnana proceeds on the assumption that God is immanent and transcendent. Bhakti believes that God is Creator, Preserver and Destroyer, that He is to be adored, and propitiated by deeds that He appreciates, that God is Master and you are privileged to serve. Karma takes into account a third category – Nature! Man has to utilise Nature, live in Nature, live by Nature, always dedicating one’s activity to the further Glory of God, resigning oneself to the worshipful activity, unconcerned with the fruits of the activity, for they are in the hands of God. The three colours – Jnana, Bhakti and Karma are different only when the white light of God passes through the prism of human reason and mind. Activate them in deed, they are but parts of one ray.
