El amor existe por el amor mismo y por nada más; es espontáneo y produce deleite. El amor ve con el corazón, no con los ojos, y escucha no con los oídos sino con la tranquilidad de tu corazón. No habla con la lengua sino usando la compasión. El amor tiene muchos sinónimos, porque compasión y bondad también significan amor. El amor sólo puede emanar del corazón, no de cualquier otra fuente. El amor es inmortal, nectarino, bienaventurado e infinito. Un corazón repleto de amor no tiene límites. Tal como los ríos con diferentes nombres se fusionan con el océano y se vuelven uno en él, el amor con muchas formas ingresa al océano de tu corazón y se fusiona con él. Tus pensamientos, palabras y aspecto exterior deberían estar llenos de amor. Eso es amor divino. Alguien saturado de amor divino no puede estar sujeto
jamás al sufrimiento. Las personas hoy día son afectadas por los elogios o las culpas, pero aquellas embargadas de amor divino trascienden los elogios o la censura, no siendo alcanzadas por críticas o alabanzas, y tratan de la misma forma a la alegría y a las penas, a las ganancias y a las pérdidas, a los triunfos y a los fracasos. (Divino Discurso, 25 Diciembre 1995).

 

Love exists for love itself and nothing else; it is spontaneous and imparts delight. Love sees with the heart, not eyes. It listens not through ears but with tranquility of your heart. It speaks not with tongue but using compassion. Love has many synonyms – compassion and kindness also mean Love. Love can emanate only from the heart and not any other source. Love is immortal, nectarous, blissful and infinite. A heart filled with love is boundless. Just as rivers with different names merge in the ocean and become one with it, love in many forms enters the ocean of your heart and merges with it. Your thoughts, words and looks should be filled with love. This is divine love. One saturated with divine love can never be subject to suffering. People today are affected by praise or blame. But those filled with divine love transcend praise or censure. They are unaffected by criticism or flattery, and treat joy and sorrow, profit and loss,
victory and defeat, alike. (Divine Discourse, Dec 25, 1995)

Ustedes sacan un seguro de vida porque ven un futuro incierto, ¿ no ? Para asegurarse una vida confortable, a ustedes se los persuade de sacar un seguro y pagar una póliza, pero sólo Dios puede protegerlos del terror a la muerte. Pueden obtener felicidad al controlar y conquistar la mente y los sentidos. El hierro y el acero son producidos en los altos hornos, donde el mineral es derretido y al que se le añaden otros componentes. El hierro fundido es transportado mediante grúas y vertido por cucharas de colada. A pesar de que estas cucharas transportan calor, son inmunes a este, y la grúa carga otros materiales ¡ pero no puede hacer nada sobre sí misma ! La mente es así. Sostiene, manipula, maneja muchas otras cosas pero no puede auto-transportarse o manipularse y transmutarse a sí misma. La mente no puede sostener al Sostenedor, vale decir, al Motivador Interno, a Dios. De manera
que para librarse de los caprichos de la mente, ustedes deben aferrarse al «Sostenedor». (Divino Discurso, 11 Marzo 1968).

 

You insure life because you are not quite sure of it, isn’t it? To assure yourselves of a comfortable life, you are persuaded to insure and pay premia. But God alone can guard you against the terror of death. You can derive happiness by controlling and conquering the mind and the senses. Iron and steel are produced in blast furnaces, where ore is melted and other components are added. The molten iron is carried in pails by cranes and poured by ladles. Though the ladle handles heat, it is immune to it. The crane holds other materials, but does not hold itself! The mind is like that. It holds, it manipulates, it handles all other things but it cannot carry itself or manipulate and transmute itself. The mind cannot hold the holder, that is to say, the Inner Motivator, God. So in order to save yourselves from the waywardness of the mind , you have to hold on to the ‘Holder’. (Divine Discourse, Mar 11, 1968)

La Divinidad está en todos y en todas partes. Puede que no La vean con sus ojos físicos, pero pueden visualizarla con su visión interior. El aire existe; no pueden negar esto, aunque no lo vean ni puedan atraparlo. Cuando hace calor, pueden experimentar la frescura, ya sea utilizando un abanico o un ventilador. El aire no proviene del ventilador, pero quien lo usa recibe y siente el aire. De la misma manera, como el aire, Dios existe. El intelecto es el ventilador. Si lo apuntan hacia el Atma, obtienen Atmananda (la bienaventuranza átmica). Por el contrario, si lo apuntan hacia el cuerpo, logran placer corporal temporario. Para atravesar el océano de la vida, no pueden depender del cuerpo, que es perecedero y transitorio. En realidad está lleno de suciedad e inmundicia, de carne y huesos. Por lo tanto, deben entregarse a la Divinidad interior. Una vez que tienen a Dios para que los ayude, no hay nada que no
puedan lograr. (Discurso Divino, 29 de abril de 1998)

 

Divinity is in everyone and everywhere. You may not see Him with your physical eye, but you can visualise Him with your inner vision. Air exists, you cannot deny this even though you cannot see it or catch it. When it is hot, you can experience coolness either by using a hand fan or an electric fan. Air has not come from the fan. But whoever uses the fan receives and feels the air. Similarly God exists like air. The intellect is the fan. If you turn it toward Atma, you get Atmananda (Atmic bliss). On the other hand, you turn it towards the body, and you get temporary bodily pleasure. For crossing the ocean of life, you cannot depend on the body which is perishable and transient. It is indeed full of dirt and filth, flesh and bones. Hence you must surrender to the Divine within. Once you have God to help you, there is nothing that you cannot achieve. Los antiguos sabios que experimentaron la fragancia de la Divinidad, buscaron la forma. Lo buscaron a Él por selvas y montes. Habían renunciado a todo y habían hecho muchos sacrificios, pero no podían hallar la fuente. Algunos incluso abandonaron a medio camino,sintiéndose satisfechos con la fragancia que habían experimentado. Sin embargo, otros, con decisión inexorable, pudieron hallar finalmente la flor. Hubo quienes no pudieron experimentar ni siquiera la fragancia, debido a un «fuerte resfriado», y fueron llamados ateos. Aunque tenían la nariz, no podían experimentar la fragancia de la divina bienaventuranza; ellos son ciertamente los infortunados. Pero aquellos que pudieron experimentar esta dicha, exclamaron en éxtasis: «Vedahametham Purusham Mahantam (Hemos tomado conciencia de la Personalidad Suprema de la Divinidad)». ¿Cómo se la percibe? En cada ser humano,
la bienaventuranza o Ananda emana del corazón, así como emana la fragancia de una flor. El corazón es en verdad completo y pleno. (Discurso Divino, 29 de abril de 1998)

 

Ancient sages who experienced the fragrance of the Divine searched for the form. They sought Him in forests and bushes. They had renounced everything and made a lot of sacrifices, still they could not find the source. Some even gave up midway, being satisfied with the fragrance that they had experienced. But others, with relentless determination, were able to find the flower eventually. There were yet others who could not experience the fragrance itself due to ‘severe cold’, and were termed atheists. Even though they had the nose they could not experience the fragrance of divine Bliss; they indeed are the unfortunate ones. But those who were able to experience this bliss exclaimed in ecstasy, “Vedahametham Purusham Mahantam (We have realised the Supreme Personality of the Godhead).” How is one to realise this? In every human being, the bliss or Ananda emanates from the heart, just as fragrance from a flower. The heart truly is
complete and full. (Divine Discourse, Apr 29, 1998)
