Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

El método más directo para el éxito espiritual es «Nishkama Karma» (acción desinteresada), la acción sin prestar ninguna atención o interés por el fruto que pudiera derivarse de ella, la acción como deber, como ofrenda, como adoración. Pero la acción y el fruto que se deriva de ella no son dos entidades separadas. El fruto es la acción misma, es básicamente la acción en su etapa final. Es el climax, la conclusión. La flor es el fruto y el fruto es la flor; uno es el comienzo y el otro es el legítimo final. La flor se transforma en fruto. De la misma forma, la acción se transforma en la consecuencia. El deber de uno es actuar. Actúa bien y hazlo por temor de Dios. Actúa dentro de los parámetros de la moralidad. Actúa por amor y continúa actuando. Las consecuencias se darán naturalmente, tal
como el fruto aparece de la flor. Uno no necesita preocuparse o exaltarse. Actúa entusiastamente y con fe, que el éxito será tuyo. (Divino Discurso, 27 marzo 1968).

 

The most direct method of spiritual success is Nishkama karma (desireless action) – action without any attention or attachment to the fruit therefrom, action as duty, action as dedication, and action as worship. But, action and the fruit thereof are not two separate entities. The fruit is the action itself, it is basically, the action in its final stage; it is the climax, the conclusion. The flower is the fruit and the fruit is the flower; one is the beginning, the other is the legitimate end. The flower becomes the fruit. So too the action becomes the consequence. One’s duty is to act. Act well and act in fear of God. Act within the bounds of morality. Act in love, and continue acting. The consequences will naturally follow as the fruit follows the flower. One need not worry or exult. Act enthusiastically and with faith – success will be yours. (Divine Discourse, Mar 27, 1968)

Todo el mundo está ansioso de ser feliz. Todos quieren trabajar menos y ganar más, dar poco y recibir mucho, pero nadie experimenta lo contrario, es decir, desear menos y dar más. Cada deseo de estos es un grillete que dificulta el progreso. Un joven estudiante universitario puede deambular libremente sobre sus dos piernas, ¡pero cuando se casa, esas piernas pasan a tener cuatro pies ! Y cuando tiene un hijo, los pies ya son seis…. Así se van restringiendo sus movimientos. Cuantos más pies, menor la velocidad. ¡Un centípedo sólo puede arrastrarse ! La acumulación de sillones y sillas, de mesas y repisas desordena la casa y hace que los movimientos sean lentos y dificultosos. Reduce tus necesidades y vive con sencillez, que ese es el camino a la felicidad. El apego sólo trae pesares desde el comienzo., y al final, cuando la muerte exige que dejes atrás a todos y
todo, ¡te encuentras sobrecogido de dolor ! Sé como el loto sobre el agua…¡sobre el agua, no en el agua.! El loto necesita del agua para crecer, ¡pero no permite que ni una sola gota lo moje! (Divino Discurso, 15 Mayo 1969)

 

Everyone is eager to be happy; everyone wants to work less and gain more, give little and get amply, but no one experiments the other route, that is, desire less and give more. Every ‘want’ is a shackle that hinders ‘progress’. A young college student can roam free on two legs; when they marry, they become four-footed! A child makes them six-footed; the range of their movements become restricted. More the feet, less the speed; a centipede can only crawl! Accumulation of sofas and chairs, cots and tables clutter the hall and render movements slow and risky. Reduce wants, and live simply, that is the way to happiness. Attachment brings sorrow in its wake. At last, when death demands that everything and everyone be left behind, you are overpowered with grief! Be like the lotus on water – on it, not in it. Water is necessary for the lotus to grow, but it will not allow even a drop to wet it! (Divine Discourse, May
