El sabio Vyasa escribió dieciocho Puranas (escrituras basadas en historias mitológicas), pero ¿hay alguien que tenga tiempo para analizarlas todas? Las personas afirman que no tienen tiempo – tiempo para leer las Escrituras o para observar los vratas (servicios devocionales) o para el servicio, porque tienen trabajo relacionado con la oficina, los negocios o la educación, y así sucesivamente. Muchas de estas excusas no son ciertas. Una persona regresa de la oficina y se relaja en la silla diciendo que está cansada. ¿Se relaja sentada en la silla? No, ¡mira televisión! ¿No está cansada para ver televisión o jugar o charlar con amigos? En verdad, si uno quiere pensar en Dios, hay mucho tiempo. Todos ustedes tienen suficiente tiempo pero lo usan mal y lo desperdician. El verdadero valor humano es usar efectivamente el tiempo. Todos ustedes son encarnaciones de lo Divino.
No dañen, engañen o lastimen a otros ni a ustedes mismos. No hay forma de devoción más alta que el desarrollo de estas cualidades sagradas. (Divino Discurso, 08 de abril de 1997).
Sage Vyasa wrote eighteen Puranas (scriptures based on mythological stories), but is there anyone who has the time to go through all of them? People claim they do not have time – time to read scriptures or to observe vratas (worshipful wovs) or service as they have work related to office, business or education and so on. Many of these excuses are not true. A person returns from the office and relaxes in the chair saying that he is tired. Is he relaxing sitting on the chair? No, he watches television! Is he not tired to see TV or play or chat with friends? Truly speaking if one wants to think of God, there is plenty of time. All of you have sufficient time but misuse and waste it. True human value is to effectively use time. All of you are embodiments of the Divine. Do not harm, cheat or hurt others or your own self. There is no form of devotion higher than developing these sacred qualities. (Divine Discourse, 08-Apr-1997).
