La Divinidad está presente en todos sin manifestarse. Cada hombre es la encarnación del Sat-Chit Ananda (Ser- Consciencia-Bienaventuranza) Divino. Esto ha sido establecido categóricamente en el Bhagavad Gita. Así como Dios es la encarnación del amor, el hombre también lo es. Pero actualmente, el hombre no lo manifiesta en forma total ni apropiada debido a su egoísmo y egocentrismo. A pesar de que la humanidad ha avanzado considerablemente en las esferas material y científica, ha descendido profundamente en lo moral y espiritual. El egoísmo prevalece en cada acción. Detrás de cada pensamiento y palabra predomina el interés personal. La Divinidad se manifiesta solo cuando este egoísmo es erradicado. Al prestar Seva (servicio), se debe reconocer la omnipresencia de Dios en todos los seres humanos. Los hombres no han desarrollado este espíritu de Tyaga
(sacrificio) o aversión a Bhoga (los placeres de los sentidos). El verdadero servicio requiere un espíritu de sacrificio. Se ha declarado que el sacrificio como el único medio para alcanzar la inmortalidad. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 23 de marzo de 1989).

 

Divinity is present in everyone in an unmanifested form. Every man is the embodiment of the Divine Sat-Chit-Ananda (Being-Awareness-Bliss). This has been described categorically in the Bhagavad Gita. As God is the embodiment of love, man is also an embodiment of love. But man today does not manifest it fully and properly because of his selfishness and self-centredness. Though humanity has advanced considerably in the material and scientific spheres, it has gone down grievously morally and spiritually. Selfishness is predominant in every action. Behind every thought and every word, self-interest is prominent. It is only when this selfishness is eradicated can Divinity reveal itself. In rendering Seva (service), there should be a recognition of the omnipresence of the Divine in all human beings. Men have not developed the spirit of Tyaga (sacrifice) or aversion to Bhoga (sensual pleasures). True service calls for a spirit of sacrifice. Sacrifice has
been declared to be the only means to achieve immortality. (Divine Discourse, Mar 23, 1989)

Mientras el Señor permanece siempre a su lado, la gente está ocupada buscando a Dios por todo el mundo. Explorando el exterior, nunca podrán purificar el interior. Es esencial transformar su consciencia. Rectifiquen su conducta y acciones, porque todo depende de sus acciones. Para adherirse a la senda correcta con un corazón puro, deben divinizar sus vidas. Todas las plegarias, japas y pujas que ofrecen solo son para purificar el corazón. Todos los que alcanzaron grandeza en algún campo, sea educación o ciencia, han sido capaces de realizarlo solo por su conducta. Ni la fuerza física, ni la riqueza o la habilidad intelectual pueden lograr que seamos respetados y honrados. Es la forma en que se vive lo que confiere honor y dignidad. Si albergan pensamientos rectos, se darán cuenta que están en la casa de Dios. Todo el universo es la mansión de Dios. Cuando son conscientes de

While the Lord is ever by the side, people are busy searching for God all over the world! By exploring the external, you can never purify the internal. It is essential to transform your consciousness. Rectify your conduct and actions, because everything depends on your actions. Adhering to the righteous path with a pure heart, you have to divinise your life. All prayers, japas and pujas that are offered are only intended to purify the heart. All those who achieved greatness in any field, be it education or science have been able to do so solely because of their conduct. Neither physical strength nor wealth, not even intellectual ability can make one respected and honoured. It is the way one lives that confers honour and dignity on him. If you entertain righteous thoughts, you will realise that all of you are in God’s home. The whole universe is a mansion of God! Once you realise this truth, how can any differences arise? ¿De qué sirve una montaña de conocimiento libresco, si no pueden obtener felicidad verdadera como seres humanos? ¿Acaso Dios no los cuidará, si instalan su fe en la Divinidad? ¿Qué se obtiene de la preocupación incesante por ganarse la vida y olvidar al Señor omnipresente? La esencia de la educación consiste en el cultivo de buenas cualidades y el desarrollo de los valores correctos para una vida con sentido. Todos claman por la paz diciendo: «Quiero paz». Pero, ¿se puede encontrar la paz en el mundo externo, que solo contiene trozos de paz? La paz debe ser encontrada dentro de uno mismo, librándose del «yo» y el «deseo». La paz es destruida por el ego y los deseos insaciables. Refrenen sus deseos. Incontables preocupaciones de diferentes clases afligen al hombre. Solo enfocando su mente en Dios, se puede liberar de ellas. La gente debe reducir sus deseos y cultivar
el desapego (vairagya), así puede tener verdadera paz mental. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 25 de diciembre de 1989).

 

Of what use is a mountain of bookish knowledge, if you cannot secure real happiness as a human being? Will God not take care of man if he places faith in the Divine? What is it that is achieved by ceaseless preoccupation with earning a living and forgetting the all-pervading Lord? The essence of education consists in cultivation of good qualities and development of right values for meaningful living. Everybody clamours for peace saying, “I want peace.” But can peace be found in the external world which is only filled with pieces? Peace has to be found within oneself by getting rid of the “I” and “desire”. Peace is destroyed by the ego and by insatiable desires. Restrain your desires. Man is haunted by endless worries of many kinds. Only by turning his mind towards God, can he get rid of the worries. People have to reduce desires and cultivate detachment (vairagya) so they can have real peace of mind. (Divine

Cada segundo es el nacimiento de un nuevo año. La suma de los segundos forma minutos, los minutos horas, las horas días, los días meses, y los meses sumados conforman los años. Entonces, no hay ninguna santidad en particular relacionada con el comienzo o el final de un año. Hay gente que atribuye un significado especial a este día y especulan con que ocurra algún evento extraordinario o maravilloso. Ni la hora ni el día son causa de su felicidad o miseria. Sus propias acciones (Karma) del pasado son la causa tanto de la felicidad como de la miseria. Como es la semilla, es la planta y el fruto; no pueden ser diferentes. No malgasten su energía mental con especulaciones sobre lo que podría suceder. ¡Encarnaciones del Amor! Cuando las acciones que llevan a cabo son correctas y puras, solo obtendrán buenos resultados. Dios es el amo del tiempo. Él trasciende el

Every second is the birth of a new year. Seconds add up to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to months and months to years. Thus, there is no particular sanctity about the beginning or ending of a year. There are people who attribute special significance to this day and speculate on some extraordinary or awesome events to take place. The time or date is not the cause of your happiness or misery. Your own actions (Karma) in the past are the cause of both your happiness and misery. As is the seed, so is the plant and fruit; they cannot be different. Do not waste your mental energy in speculations of this or that happening! Embodiments of Love! When actions performed by you are proper and pure, you will get good results only! God is the master of time. He transcends time. God should be your first priority! Cultivate pure, steady and unselfish love in the New Year! (Divine Discourse, Jan 1, 2000)
