Cuando usamos las palabras ‘libertad de elección’ con respecto al camino espiritual, utilizamos estas palabras sólo en relación con nuestra comprensión de lo Divino. Dios no tiene límites; y uno puede tener la libertad de tener su propia imagen de Dios, y aún así disfrutar del aspecto ilimitado de Dios. La tela puede ser diferente pero el material base, es decir el hilo que hace a la tela de diferentes tipos, es el mismo. Los ornamentos son todos diferentes, pero el oro con que se fabrican los ornamentos es el mismo. El color del ganado puede variar, pero la leche es la misma. Las flores pueden ser de diferentes tipos, pero el culto para el que se utilizan es uno y el mismo. Los seres humanos han pasado por alto este punto esencial y este es el resultado de su ignorancia. La gente se ha sometido a muchas dificultades a causa de esa ignorancia. Dios es uno, pero cada individuo debe poder crear una forma

When we use the words ‘freedom of choice’ with respect to the spiritual path, we use these words only with regard to our understanding of the Divine. God is limitless; and one can have the freedom to have one’s own image of God, and yet enjoy the limitless aspect of God. The cloth may be different but the basic material, namely the thread which makes the cloth of different kinds, is the same. Ornaments are all different, but the gold which goes into making the ornaments is the same. The colour of the cattle may vary, but the milk is the same. The flowers may be of different types, but the worship for which they are used is one and the same. Human beings have missed this essential point and this is a result of their ignorance. People have submitted themselves to great many difficulties because of such ignorance. God is one, but each individual should be able to create a form for oneself according to one’s taste. Todos deben tomar la decisión de tener una fe inquebrantable y una visión firme. Este es un intento que se debe hacer. En todo caso, ustedes han llegado a darse cuenta de algunas cosas; habiéndose dado cuenta, sigan aferrándose a ellas sin soltarlas. En todo caso, han deseado algo; por lo tanto, habiéndolo deseado, hasta que se cumpla el deseo, no lo dejen. En todo caso, han pedido algo; habiéndolo pedido, hasta que se les dé, no se rindan. En todo caso, han pensado en algo; habiéndolo pensado, hasta que no se realice, no se alejen de ello. Ya no pudiendo soportar más, Él deberá venir en su rescate. O tendrán que seguir pidiendo hasta perder la conciencia. Eso es todo. Hasta entonces, no cambien de parecer. Ese es el camino correcto, pero renunciar a su determinación no es el camino correcto. Cualesquiera sean los obstáculos que puedan aparecer en su
camino, si no ceden y tienen una fe firme, entonces podemos formar un ejército de Krishna (Dios). (Discurso Divino, Rosas de Verano en Montañas Azules, 1976, Capítulo 4)

 

You must all make up your minds to have unwavering faith and a steadfast vision. This is an attempt which you should make. Anyhow you have caught on to something; having caught on to it, keep holding on without leaving it. Anyhow you have desired for something; having desired thus, until the desire is fulfilled, do not leave. Anyhow you have asked for something; having asked for it, until it is given, do not give up. Anyhow you have thought of something; having thought about it, until it is realised, do not go away. Not able to bear any more, He should come to your rescue. Or you will have to keep asking until you lose your consciousness. That is all. Until then, do not change your mind. That is the right path, but to give up your determination is not the right path. Durante tiempos difíciles, algunas personas ofrecen oraciones a Dios creyendo que Dios está en otra parte y escuchando sus oraciones, ¡Él recorre todo el camino y resuelve sus dificultades! En un plano terrenal, si van a ver a una persona que tiene una posición de autoridad y la alaban, ¡entonces puede hacerles el bien! ¡Pero Dios no es como una persona que está en una posición de autoridad! Tan pronto como piensen en Dios, Su gracia les ayudará. Las Escrituras declaran, Brahma vid Brahmaiva Bhavati (El conocimiento de la Divinidad les transformará en Dios mismo). El resultado de sus oraciones es que las cualidades divinas llegarán a cultivarse dentro de ustedes y darán alivio al sufrimiento. Las oraciones a Dios, cantando Su gloria, y el pensamiento en las cualidades divinas del Señor, se realizan sólo para su propia paz y bienestar, y para
desarrollar su buen carácter. Por lo tanto, promuevan buenas ideas, buenos ideales y buenos pensamientos en todo momento. (Rosas de Verano en Montañas Azules, 1976, Capítulo 4)

 

During troubled times, some people offer prayers to God believing that God is somewhere else and listening to their prayers, He comes all the way and solves their difficulties! In a worldly plane, if you go to a person in a position of authority and praise them, then they may do good to you! But God is not like someone who is in a position of authority! As soon as you think of God in your mind, His grace will help you. Scriptures declare, Brahma vid Brahmaiva Bhavati (The knowledge of Divine will transform you into God Himself). The result of your prayers is that divine qualities get cultivated within you and give you relief from suffering. Prayers to God, singing His glory, and thinking of Lord’s divine qualities are done only for your own peace and wellbeing, and to develop your good character. Hence promote good ideas, good ideals and good thoughts at all times. (Summer Roses On Blue Mountains, 1976, Ch 4)

Imagínense, diez niños van a una tienda de telas y eligen algún material que les gusta. Luego estos niños son llevados a un sastre, y cada uno da las medidas apropiadas para él y obtienen una camisa cosida de manera adecuada. Todos los niños han utilizado la misma tela para obtener sus camisas, pero cada uno tiene diferentes medidas. ¡Esto es lo que se debe hacer! Si el sastre hiciera todas las camisas del mismo tamaño y les pidiera a todos los niños que usaran esas camisas, ¿sería adecuado? Si al niño no se le da una camisa que le quede bien, estará muy incómodo usándola. Del mismo modo, Dios (Brahma) está brillando en los corazones de todos, y dependiendo de su propia imagen del refulgente Brahma presente dentro de ellos, cada uno tiene el derecho de adorar a ese Nombre y Forma particular. Sin esta libertad, ¿cómo entenderse y

Imagine, ten children go to a cloth shop and choose some material which they like. These children are then taken to a tailor, and each one gives measurements appropriate to themselves and get a suitably stitched shirt. All the children have used the same cloth to get their shirts, but each one has different measurements. This is the right thing to do! If the tailor stitched all shirts to the same size and asked all the children to wear those shirts, would it be proper? If the child is not given a shirt that fits properly, he would be very uncomfortable wearing it. Similarly, God (Brahma) is shining in the hearts of everyone and depending upon their own picture of the effulgent Brahman present within them, everyone has the right to adore that particular Name and Form. Without this freedom, how can you understand and connect with the limitless, infinite, and omnipresent Divine? (Summer Showers in Brindavan 1974, Vol 1, Ch 5)
