Prema (el amor) es como un diamante muy precioso. El amor es ajeno a las personas egoístas, engreídas u ostentosas. ¿Dónde se puede encontrar este amor? Este precioso diamante sólo se consigue en el reino del Amor, en la calle del Amor y en la tienda del Amor. Sólo puede ser obtenido mediante un corazón amoroso. Se puede preguntar «¿Acaso no está todo el mundo impregnado de amor? Entonces por qué no está el amor fácilmente disponible?» El amor que supuestamente llena el mundo, no es el verdadero amor. El amor no puede estar relacionado con el cuerpo, los sentidos, la mente ni el intelecto. Cualquier cosa que se asocie con ellos es sólo apego (Anuraga). Sólo la vida espiritual (átmica) es una vida llena de amor. Por lo tanto, lleven una vida espiritual, no una vida esclavizada por el cuerpo, la mente, los sentidos y el intelecto. Una vida asociada
al cuerpo, los sentidos, la mente y el intelecto, nunca podrá estar libre de egoísmo, engreimiento y ostentación. (Divino Discurso, 21 de agosto de 1992)

 

Prema (Love) is like a most precious diamond. Love is alien to persons who are selfish, conceited or ostentatious. Where then is this love to be found? This precious diamond can only be got in the kingdom of Love, in the street of Love, in the shop of Love. It can be obtained only through a loving heart. It may be asked, «Is not the whole world permeated with Love? Then why is not Love readily available?» The love with which the world is considered to be filled with is not real love Love cannot be associated with the body, the senses, the mind and the intellect. Anything associated with these is only attachment (Anuraga). Spiritual (Atmic) life alone is a Love-filled life. Therefore, lead a spiritual life, not a life bound by body, mind, senses and intellect. A life related to the body, the senses, the mind and the intellect can never be free from selfishness, conceit and ostentation. (Divine Discourse, Aug 21, 1992)

Asimilen el hecho de que cantar el nombre del Señor es sumamente sagrado y eficaz. Sirve para eliminar las impurezas en la persona, y promueve pensamientos buenos y sagrados. Si el corazón está lleno de verdad y amor, sólo surgirán pensamientos positivos. No tiene sentido recitar sólo una vez al año el nombre del Señor Krishna o del Señor Rama. ¿Con qué frecuencia alimentan a su cuerpo? ¿No requiere su mente ser alimentada de la misma manera? La contemplación del Señor es el alimento de la mente. Alimentar el estómago y negar nutrición a la mente es como adornar el carruaje y privar de comida al caballo. Para que el carruaje del cuerpo se mantenga en movimiento deben alimentar al caballo de la mente. Si bien el cuerpo es nutrido de innumerables modos, alimenten a la mente en soledad. Reciten el nombre del señor en su interior, de
manera continua y silenciosa. Poseyendo esta valiosa información, ¿no la aprovecharán, dedicando tiempo a los preciosos pensamientos acerca del Señor? (Divino Discurso, 26 de febrero de 1998)

 

Internalise the fact that chanting the Lord’s name is highly sacred and efficacious. It serves to remove the impurities within a person, and promotes good and sacred thoughts. When the heart is filled with truth and love, only positive thoughts will arise. There is no meaning in reciting Lord Krishna or Rama’s name just once a year. How often do you take food to nourish your body? Does not your mind require to be fed equally? Contemplation of the Lord is the food for the mind. To feed the belly and starve the mind is like decorating the chariot and starving the horse! To keep the chariot of the body moving, you must feed the horse of the mind. While the body is nourished in innumerable ways, feed the mind in solitude. Chant the Lord’s name constantly and silently within you. Possessing this valuable piece of wisdom, will you not fully leverage it and spare time for precious thoughts of the Lord? (Divine Discourse, Feb 26, 1998)

¡Encarnaciones del Amor Divino! Cultiven el Principio del Amor, y manifiesten el amor en todos sus pensamientos, palabras y acciones, para experimentar la bienaventuranza. Cuando estén llenos del Amor Divino, todos los dolores y problemas serán olvidados. El advenimiento de los Avatares, que ocurre de tanto en tanto, tiene el objeto de propagar este principio del Amor Divino. La esencia del Krishna Tattva (el Principio de Krishna) es el principio del amor desinteresado. Si bien Dios reside en cada persona, permanece latente, como el aceite dentro de la semilla de sésamo. Para manifestar la Divinidad en su interior, ustedes deben soportar pruebas y obstáculos. Como resultado de tales experiencias de adversidad, el amor a Dios debe incrementarse. Así como el oro aumenta su brillo cuanto más es calentado en el crisol, la devoción de ustedes también debe someterse a un constante proceso de
purificación. Cultiven la buena compañía (Satsang), la compañía de personas llenas del Amor Divino. Utilicen este Satsang para librarse de sus instintos animales y progresar desde lo humano hacia lo divino. (Divino Discurso, 21 de agosto de 1992)

 

Embodiments of Divine Love! Cultivate the Love Principle and manifest love in all your thoughts, words and actions, to experience bliss. When you are filled with Divine Love, all pains and troubles will be forgotten. It is to propagate this principle of Divine Love that advents of Avatars take place from time to time. The principle of selfless love is the essence of Krishna Tattva (the Krishna Principle). Although God dwells in every person, it remains latent like oil within the gingelly seed. To manifest the Divine within you, you must undergo trials and ordeals. Love for God should grow as a result of such experiences of adversity. Just as gold improves in brilliance the more it is heated in the crucible, your devotion also must undergo a constant purificatory process. Cultivate good company (Satsang), the company of persons filled with Divine Love. Use that Satsang to get rid of your animal instincts and progress from the human to the Divine.

Esto es trágico: cuando se dicen cosas buenas tú encuentras dificultad en prestar atención, pero cuando se expresan cosas degradantes, perturbantes, los oídos están en alerta. Sé el amo de tu comportamiento; no permitas que te guíe el impulso del momento; sé consciente siempre de lo que es bueno para ti. Efectúa tus labores diarias de forma que no hagas sufrir a otros o que sufras tú mismo. esa es la señal de una inteligente manera de vivir. No des lugar a arranques de ira, o de dolor, o de júbilo, o de desesperación. La confusión que exhibes es el resultado de cualidades oscuras, desvaídas (tamásicas) y emocionales (rajásicas). Entrena tus oídos para escuchar calmadamente manteniendo tu compostura. Sé apacible, sereno y sosegado (sátvico). Cuanto más desarrolles caridad hacia todos los seres,
arrepentimiento de tus propias faltas, temor de lo malo y temor de Dios – más firmemente te establecerás en la paz. (Divino Discurso, 27 Febrero 1961).

 

This is tragic: when good things are spoken, you find it difficult to pay attention, but when demeaning, distracting things are said, the ears are on the alert. Be the master of your behaviour; do not be led away by the impulse of the moment; be conscious always of what is good for you. Carry on your daily tasks so that you do not make others suffer or suffer yourself. That is the sign of intelligent living. Do not give way to fits of anger or grief or elation or despair The confusion you exhibit was the result of dark and dull (tamasic) and emotional (rajasic) qualities. Train your ears to listen quietly to good and maintain your composure. Be calm and unruffled and collected (satwic). The more you develop charity for all beings, contrition at your own faults, and fear of wrong and fear of God — the more firmly you will be established in peace. (Divine Discourse, Feb 27, 1961)
