«Islam» significa entrega a Dios, y enseña que la Gracia de Dios puede ser alcanzada a través de la justicia y de un correcto vivir, y no mediante la riqueza, erudición o poder. Todos aquellos que viven en paz y armonía social, con un espíritu de entrega y dedicación, son de hecho seguidores del Islam. El Islam insiste en una total coordinación entre el pensamiento, palabra y obra. Los sabios y hombres santos musulmanes siempre han enfatizado la necesidad de indagar sobre la validez del «yo» que siente que es el cuerpo, y el «yo» que siente que es la mente, y llegar a la conclusión de que el verdadero «yo» es el Ser que anhela al Omni-Ser, a Dios. Durante el mes de Ramadán, el ayuno y las oraciones tienen como objetivo despertar y manifestar esta toma de conciencia. No importa qué religión sigas, recuerda que el énfasis debe estar en la unidad, la armonía y
sintonía mental. Por lo tanto, cultiva el amor, la tolerancia y la compasión, y demuestra esta verdad en tus actividades diarias. Este es el Mensaje que te doy con Mis bendiciones.

Islam means surrender to God. It teaches that God’s Grace can be won through justice and righteous living; and not through wealth, scholarship or power. All who in a spirit of surrender and dedication, live in peace and harmony in society are in fact, followers of Islam. Islam insists on full co-ordination between thought, word and deed. Muslim holy men and sages have been emphasizing the need to inquire into the validity of the ‘I’ which feels it is the body and the ‘I’ which feels it is the mind, and reach the conclusion that the real ‘I’ is the self yearning for the Omni Self, God. During the Ramzan month, the fast and the prayers are to awaken and manifest this realisation. No matter which religion you follow, remember that the emphasis should be on unity, harmony and equal-mindedness. Therefore cultivate love, tolerance and compassion, and demonstrate this Truth in daily activity. This is the message I give you with My blessings.

La tercera flor más amada por Dios es la de la compasión («Daya») por todas las criaturas vivientes.Vive en amistad con todos, pero no mantengas demasiada conexión con la gente. La cuarta flor especial y significativa que Dios ama profundamente es la de la indulgencia («Kshama»). Los Pandavas sufrieron mucho a manos de los Kauravas, pero Dharmaraja nunca perdió su indulgencia. Fue esta virtud la que siempre les ganó a los Pandavas la protección de Krishna y los convirtió en un ideal para el resto del mundo. Dios ama la ofrenda de flores que nunca se marchitan, como la no-violencia, el control de los sentidos, la compasión y la indulgencia («Ahimsa, Indriyanigraha, Daya, y Kshama»). Dios estará complacido contigo y te otorgará Su Gracia sólo cuando le ofrezcas «las flores» que le son tan queridas. Ningún beneficio surge de la simple ofrenda de flores, ya que decaen y se
marchitan todos los días.

The third flower that God loves the most is the flower of compassion (daya) towards all living creatures. Live in amity with everyone, but do not have too much connection with people. The fourth special and significant flower that God dearly loves is that of forbearance (Kshama). The Pandavas suffered a lot at the hands of the Kauravas. But never did Dharmaraja lose forbearance. It was the virtue of forbearance that always won for Pandavas the protection of Krishna and made them an ideal to the rest of the world. God loves the offering of ever-blooming flowers of nonviolence, sense-control, compassion and forbearance (ahimsa, indriyanigraha, daya and kshama). God will be pleased with you and confer boons on you only when you offer Him the ‘flowers’ which are dear to Him. No benefit accrues from offering flowers, which fade and decay everyday. ¡Hoy la Ciencia ha avanzado una enormidad ! Los seres humanos han emprendido viajes espaciales, la gente quiere saber qué hay en el cosmos, tiene curiosidad por saber que hay en la Luna, e incluso desea viajar al Sol. ¿Pero, de qué sirve eso ? Primero, reconozcan la Divinidad dentro de sí mismos, abriendo las puertas de sus corazones. Desarrollen más y más al Amor. Comprendan la Verdad. Experimenten a Dios. En todo eso yace la bienaventuranza. Es muy fácil conocer a Dios, pero muy pocos comprenden esto. Deben realizar todo esfuerzo necesario para entender a la Divinidad inmanente. El ego y la ira ocultan a la Divinidad interior. Se dice, por eso, que el verdadero conocimiento sólo despunta cuando el apego es destruído («Moham hithva punar vidya»). ¿De dónde proviene este apego ? Son los deseos excesivos los que conducen al apego. Cuando indaguen en lo profundo de
sí, experimentarán la Divinidad por doquier.

Today science has advanced to a great extent! Human beings have undertaken space travel. People want to know what is there in space, they are curious to know what is there in the moon and even wish to travel to the Sun. But what is the use? First recognise the Divinity within yourself. Open the doors of your heart. Develop love more and more. Understand the truth. Experience God. There lies the bliss. It is very easy to know God, but very few understand this. You must make every effort to understand the immanent Divinity. The divinity within is covered by ego and anger. Therefore, it is said, real knowledge dawns only when attachment is destroyed (Moham hithva punar vidya). Where does this attachment come from? Excessive desires lead to attachment. You will experience divinity everywhere when you enquire deep within! (Divine Discourse Mar 14, 1999)
