Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

No eres educado si todo lo que has logrado es el estudio de una tonelada de libros. El cuerpo y la mente tienen que ser iluminados por la luz del amor que emana de la conciencia del Alma y su Divinidad esencial. Dado que la educación de hoy en día trata solo con el cuerpo y la mente, y no está relacionada con el Alma, la juventud de la tierra es arrastrada de aquí para allá por cada ráfaga que pasa como vegetación sin raíces. La conciencia del Atma otorgará un poder y coraje inquebrantables. Los Vedas enseñan los medios para asegurar esta conciencia y aprovecharla para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida. Solo eso puede coronar la educación con éxito. Solo eso puede fortalecer a los jóvenes para enfrentar los problemas de la inquietud y la ansiedad. Las universidades tienen que enseñar no solo ciertas materias, sino también la relación
sujeto-objeto. El proceso por el cual uno puede trascender esta dualidad y conocer la Unidad también debe comunicarse para que la educación sea completa. (Divino Discurso, 31 de enero de 1974).

 

You are not educated if all that you have achieved is the study of a ton of books. The body and the mind have to be illumined by the light of love that emanates from the awareness of the Soul and its essential Divinity. Since education today deals only with the body and mind, and is unrelated to the Soul, the youth of the land are wafted hither and thither by every passing gust like rootless vegetation. Awareness of the Atman will grant unshakeable power and courage. The Vedas teach the means of securing this awareness and drawing on it to meet the challenges of life. That alone can crown education with success. That alone can strengthen youth to encounter the problems of unrest and anxiety. The colleges have to teach not only certain subjects, but the subject-object relationship too. The process by which one can transcend this duality and cognise the Unity has also to be communicated to render education complete. (Divine Discourse, Jan 31, 1974).

Todos son hijos de Dios y tienen el mismo derecho al amor del Señor. ¿Por qué entonces hay diferencias entre hombres y mujeres? ¿Por qué no hay igualdad o semejanza? Esto se debe a las diferencias en la formación mental de las personas. Si la mente es impura, las acciones de uno son necesariamente impuras. Cuando la mente y la conciencia están deformadas por el egoísmo, el comportamiento humano también se distorsiona. Cuando estas se vuelven hacia lo Divino, las buenas acciones son la consecuencia natural. Tu mente es la causa de las buenas y malas acciones. Por lo tanto, lo que sea que desees lograr, debes tratar de lograrlo sin conmoción o agitación. Se considera a la sabiduría o el conocimiento espiritual (Jnana) como el requisito fundamental para todo ser humano. Pero lo que es verdaderamente fundamental es la conducta: conducta recta. ¡Tu conducta determina
tus cualidades y las cualidades, a su vez, determinan tu comportamiento! (Divino Discurso, 08 de abril de 1983).

 

All are God’s children and are equally entitled to the love of the Lord. Why then are there differences amongst men and women? Why is there no equality or sameness? This is because of differences in the mental make-up of people. If the mind is impure, one’s actions are bound to be impure. When the mind and the consciousness are warped by egoism, the human behaviour is also distorted. When these are turned towards the Divine, good actions follow naturally. Your mind is the cause of good and bad deeds. Hence, whatever you wish to achieve, you should try to accomplish without excitement or agitation. Wisdom or spiritual knowledge (Jnana) is regarded as the primary requisite for every human being. But what is truly primary is one’s conduct – righteous conduct. Your conduct determines your qualities and the qualities, in their turn, determine your behavior! (Divine Discourse, Apr 08, 1983).

Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

Mira con la misma mentalidad a la buena suerte y a la desgracia, a la felicidad y al dolor, a la pérdida y a la ganancia. Estos son productos de la naturaleza como el calor y el frío, el verano y el invierno. Ellos sirven a un propósito. De manera similar, los altibajos de la vida tienen lecciones que enseñarnos. De hecho, sin reveses en la vida, no podremos experimentar la Divinidad. Sin oscuridad, no podremos valorar la luz. Sin experimentar dificultades, no podremos disfrutar de los beneficios. Es la falta de paz mental lo que nos obliga a buscar los medios para experimentar la paz duradera. Las escrituras (Upanishads) han declarado que solo a través de la renuncia se puede alcanzar la inmortalidad. Debes aprender a practicar la renunciación verdadera en tu vida diaria para poder descubrir el secreto de la paz y bienaventuranza perdurables. (Divino Discurso, 06 de abril de 1983).

 

Look on with an equal mind at good fortune and misfortune, happiness and sorrow, loss and gain. These are products of nature like heat and cold, summer and winter. They have their purposes to serve. Similarly the ups and downs of life have lessons to teach us. In fact, without reverses in life, we will not be able to experience Divinity. Without darkness, we cannot value light. Without experiencing difficulties, we will not be able to enjoy benefits. It is the lack of peace of mind which compels us to seek the means to realise enduring peace. The scriptures (Upanishads) have declared that through renunciation alone can immortality be attained. You must learn to practice true renunciation in your daily living so that you may discover the secret of enduring peace and bliss. (Divine Discourse, Apr 06, 1983).

Obtienen exaltación mientras adoran a un ídolo de piedra tallada en el templo. ¡Cuánto más exaltados deberían estar mientras adoran al mismo Dios que reside en los corazones del templo de los hombres y mujeres que están entre ustedes! Y no solo en los niveles humanos; ¡Dios vive en cada ave, bestia, árbol, piedra y polvo! Recuerden, ¡la gracia de Dios no se puede ganar simplemente repitiendo Sus glorias! Reciten el nombre de su Señor elegido, con su halo de significado claro en su mente y empapados de él en sus actos y sentimientos. Los estadounidenses que cantaron bhajans hoy prestaron atención a la melodía y a su ritmo; también aprendieron el significado de cada canción y la cantaron desde sus corazones, respetando su espíritu con bha-va (sentimientos), ra-ga (melodía) y tha-la (ritmo) – Bha-ra-tha -¡eso les da derecho a
ser llamados Bharatiyas! La cultura de ‘Bharat’ se basa en rati (apego) a Bhagavan; entonces, ¡cualquier persona, independiente de su raza, que esté apegada al Señor es un Bharatiya! (Discurso divino, 19 de julio de 1970).

 

You derive exaltation while worshipping a carved stone idol in the temple. How much more exalted should you be while worshipping the self-same God residing in the temple-hearts of the men and women amongst you! And not merely in the human frames; God lives in every bird, beast, tree, pebble and speck of dust! Remember, the grace of God cannot be won by merely repeating His glories! Recite the name of your chosen Lord, with its halo of meaning clear in your mind and soaked into your acts and feelings. The Americans who sang bhajans today paid attention to the tune and its beat; they also learnt the meaning of each song and sang it from their heart, respecting its spirit with bha-va (feelings), ra-ga (tune) and tha-la (rhythm) – Bha-ra-tha – that entitles them to be called Bharatiyas! The culture of ‘Bharat’ is built on rati (attachment) to Bhagawan; so, any person, independent of their race, who is attached to the Lord is a Bharatiya!
