Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

OM SRI SAI RAM

EL servicio se ha convertido en una palabra de moneda corriente, pero su valor está muy reducido por la hipocresía de los usuarios. Hablando honestamente, quienes se sienten afligidos con agonía a la vista del dolor y el sufrimiento, la aflicción o la enfermedad, tienen el derecho de ofrecer servicio; ya, que ellos no están sirviendo a otros, sino que están sirviéndose a sí mismos, sirviendo para quitar tan rápida e inteligentemente como pueden, su propia agonía. El servicio a otros es la medicina que uno necesita para uno mismo, con el fin de aliviar el sufrimiento que lo llena a uno al ver la agonía en otros ser. Sientan que están sirviéndose a sí mismos, que están conteniendo su propio ego. De lo contrario el servicio eleva su auto-estima y desarrollará un sentido de superioridad, los que son ambos dañinos espiritualmente.

Service has become a word of common currency, but its value is very much reduced by the hypocrisy of the users. Really speaking, only those who are afflicted with agony at the sight of pain and suffering, distress or disease, have the right to offer service; for, they are not serving others, they are serving themselves, serving to remove as quickly and as intelligently as they can, their own agony. Service to others is the medicine one needs for oneself to alleviate the distress which fills one at the sight of distress in another being. Feel that you are serving yourself, that you are curbing your own ego. Otherwise service heightens your self-esteem and develops a sense of superiority, which are both harmful spiritually. Al igual que un terrón de azúcar endulza cada gota de agua en una taza, mirar a través de los ojos del amor hace que cada uno sea cálido y amigable. Las simples lecheras de Gokul se veían una a otra como Krishna; así era el amor incontenible por la Divina encarnación. El Bhagavata, donde su amor y el amor de muchos otros devotos del Señor son descriptos, es un libro de texto de Amor Divino, Bhakti. Comiencen amando el servicio, este día y este momento. Cada acto los llevará al siguiente, ya que el entusiasmo es muy inspirador. El acto del servicio no es para ser juzgado a través de propaganda o el dinero gastado. La necesidad del receptor, el sentimiento (bhava) de la persona que sirve- estos deciden si el acto es oro o plomo. Llenen cada acto propio con Amor. No dejen que nadie sufra el menor dolor como resultado de su pensamiento, palabra o acción. Permitan ese sea

As a lump of sugar sweetens every drop of water in the cup, seeing through the eyes of love makes everyone friendly and charming. The simple milkmaids of Gokul saw each other as Krishna; such was their overwhelming love for the Divine Incarnation. The Bhagavata, where their love and the love of many other devotees of the Lord are described, is a text-book of Divine Love, Bhakti. Begin loving service, this day this moment. Each act will urge you to the next, for the thrill is so inspiring. The act of service is to be judged not by advertisement or the cost spent. The need of the recipient, the feeling (bhava) of the person who serves – these decide whether the act is gold or lead. Fill every act of yours with Love. Let no one suffer the slightest pain as a result of your thought, word or deed. Let this be your Sadhana. It will surely help you to achieve the Goal. (Divine Discourse, May 24, 1967)

El impulso interno de un individuo para amar a su madre es una expresión de la Naturaleza Divina en ese sujeto. Si no hubiese chispa de divinidad en dicha persona, no la habría amado nada. La persona que ama a otro individuo es un teísta, sea que vaya a una iglesia o templo, o no. Ustedes proceden de lo conocido a lo desconocido. Luego ese amor se expande eternamente en círculos más amplios, ¡hasta cubrir toda la naturaleza! En estado puro, incluso el arrancar una hoja de un árbol los puede afectar, ¡de tal modo que lo pensarán dos veces! La vitalidad verde de los árboles es un signo de la Voluntad Divina, la cual envía sus raíces dentro de la tierra. Las raíces mantienen el árbol seguro de las tormentas, sosteniéndolo fuertemente contra el violento tironeo del viento. Así también, si las raíces del amor en un individuo se
profundizan en la primavera de lo Divino en ellos, ninguna tormenta de sufrimiento puede sacudirlos. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Divino Discurso del 24 de mayo de 1967.

 

The prompting inside an individual to love one’s mother is an expression of the Divine Nature in that person. If there was no spark of the Divine in the person, they would not have loved at all. A person who loves another individual is a theist, whether they go to a temple or church, or not. You proceed from the known to the unknown. Then that love expands in ever widening circles, until it covers all nature! In its pure form, even plucking a leaf from a tree may affect you that you will think twice! The green vitality of the tree is a sign of the Divine Will, which sends its roots deep into the soil. The roots keep the tree safe from storms, holding it fast against the violent tug of the wind. So too, if the roots of love in an individual goes down into the spring of the Divine in them, no storm of suffering can shake them. (Divine Discourse, May 24, 1967)
