Al señor le importan el ekagrata y el chitta-suddhi (la concentración y la pureza de la mente). No necesitan sentir que están físicamente cerca de Él. Él no tiene un «cerca» o «lejos». Si han colocado la dirección clara y correctamente, su carta será entregada, sea en la cuadra que viene, en Calcuta o Bombay con la misma estampilla. Smarana (recordación) es la estampilla, manana (recapitulación) es la dirección. Tengan el nombre para el smarana, la forma para manana, eso es suficiente. Seleccionen un Nombre y una Forma para smarana y manana. Pero no hablen mal de los otros nombres y formas. Compórtense como una dama en una reunión familiar; ella respeta y sirve a los mayores tales como el suegro, los hermanos y a su cuñado, pero su corazón está dedicado a su esposo, a quien ama y reverencia de manera especial. Si critican la fe de otros, la
propia devoción es falsa. Si son sinceros, apreciarán la sinceridad de los otros. Ven faltas en los demás porque ustedes mismos las tienen, no al revés. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 15 de agosto de 1964).

If you carp at the faith of others, your devotion is fake. If you are sincere, you will appreciate the sincerity of others. You see faults in others because you

Mejoren el cuerpo, reconstruyan la mente, y regulen el estilo de vida. Entonces el país automáticamente se convertirá en fuerte y próspero. No lamenten que la tinaja sea de barro si contiene néctar; es mucho mejor que tener un ánfora de oro con veneno dentro. La tierra podrá ser rica, pero si la vida que llevan es innoble, es despreciable. No tiene importancia que el estándar de vida sea pobre, si el estilo de vida es puro, lleno de amor, saturado de humildad, con temor al pecado, y reverencia a los mayores. Es fácil restaurar esta clase de vida, si se estudian y se siguen los Vedas nuevamente. La Vedamatha (madre de los Vedas) promoverá el amor y la bondad en ustedes. Tengan fe; no descarten un diamante, arrojándolo como si fuese un trozo de vidrio. Reform the body, reconstruct the mind, and regulate the way of living; then, the country will become automatically strong and prosperous. Do not wail that it is a mud pot if it contains nectar; it is far better than having a gold pot with poison in it. The land may be rich, but if life is mean, it is deplorable. It does not matter if the standard of life is poor, provided the way of life is pure, full of love, filled with humility, fear-of-sin, and reverence towards elders. It is easy to restore this way of life, provided the Vedas are once again studied and followed. The Vedamatha (mother of Vedas) will foster in you love and kindness. Have faith; do not discard a diamond, dismissing it as a piece of glass. The Dharma laid down in the Vedas is the best armour to guard you against sorrow. (Divine Discourse, Aug 15, 1964)

Ustedes deben ofrecer al Señor, no las flores que crecen en las plantas; será recompensada la planta, no ustedes. El Señor desea que le ofrezcan el loto florecido en el lago de su corazón y la fruta que madura en el árbol de su carrera terrenal, no el loto y la fruta disponibles en el mercado. Tal vez pregunten: «¿Dónde podemos hallar al Señor?». Bien, Él ha dado su dirección, en el capítulo 18, shloka 61, del Bhagavad Gita. Búsquenlo y tomen nota: «Ishwarah sarva bhutanam hriddese, Arjuna, thisthati». «Oh, Arjuna, el Señor reside en el corazón de todos los seres». You must offer the Lord, not flowers that plants grow; that will reward the plant, not you! The Lord wants you to offer the lotus that blooms in the Lake of your Heart, the fruit that ripens on the tree of your earthly career, not the lotus and the fruit available in the marketplace! You may ask – «Where can we find the Lord?» Well, He has given His address, in Chapter 18, Shloka 61 of Bhagavad Gita. Turn to it and note it down – Ishwarah sarva bhutanam hrid-dese, Arjuna, tisthati – “O Arjuna, the Lord resides in the heart of all beings.» Now, after knowing that, how can you look down on any living being in contempt or how can you revel in hating him or indulge in the pastime of ridiculing? Every individual is charged with the Divine Presence, moved by Divine attributes. Love, honour, friendliness – that is what each one deserves from you. Give these in full measure.
