Para salvar a la Humanidad, el Señor se presentó en la forma física más encantadora, de modo de poder atraer hacia sí el amor del corazón de cada persona. Por tal razón el Señor Krishna roba con facilidad los corazones, incluso de aquellos que lo tienen muy endurecido. Él es el «Bada Chitta Chora» (el más grande ladrón de corazones). Los corazones puros anhelan oír Su voz, ver Su forma, Su flauta, Su sonrisa, Sus juegos y bromas . Krishna encarnó para restablecer el Dharma (Rectitud), de manera que es el Dharma lo que Él más aprecia. Caminar por el sendero del Dharma: esa es la ofrenda que Él aceptará con gusto. El Señor es el más cercano a ti. Él es madre, padre, maestro, amigo, guía y guardián. Llámalo y Él responderá de inmediato. Desde el amanecer hasta el
crepúsculo, pasa cada minuto en Su compañía. La flauta es Su favorita, de manera que conviértete en una que sea hueca (desprovista de deseos), recta (sin rugosidades), ¡ y Él te redimirá ! (Divino Discurso, 19 Agosto 1968).

 

To save humanity, the Lord appeared in a most charming form so that He could draw everyone’s heart in love. So Lord Krishna easily steals into the hearts of even the most hard-hearted individuals. He is the ‘bada chitta chora’ (the greatest Thief of hearts). Pure hearts yearn for His voice, His Form, His flute, His smile, His sport and His pranks. Krishna incarnated to establish Dharma (righteousness). So what he likes the most is Dharma. Walk in the path of Dharma; that is the offering He will gladly accept. The Lord is closest to you, He is the mother, father, teacher, friend, guide and guardian. Call on Him, and He responds immediately. From dawn to dusk, spend every minute in His company. The Flute is His favourite. So become a flute, hollow (devoid of desires), straight (with no crookedness), and He will redeem you! (Divine Discourse, Aug 19, 1968)

La gente piensa en el significado más común de «Krishna» como «alguien que es oscuro», olvidando los significados más profundos y verdaderos del nombre del Señor. «Krishna» tiene tres significados. El primero es «Krishyati iti Krishnah» (El que cultiva es Krishna). ¿Qué es lo que debe ser cultivado ? El terreno del propio corazón (Hridaya -Kshethra). El Señor Krishna cultiva el terreno de nuestro corazón removiendo las malezas de las malas cualidades, regándolo con amor, arándolo mediante Sadhana y sembrando las semillas de la devoción. El segundo significado es «Karshati iti Krishnah» (El que te atrae es Krishna), Krishna te atrae a través de Sus ojos, Su palabra, Su aspecto, y por cada una de Sus acciones. Mediante Sus palabras Él suaviza y calma los corazones, incluso de aquellos rebosantes de odio y los hace regocijarse. Un tercer significado de
Krishna es «Kushyati iti Krishna» (El que es siempre bienaventurado). ¡ Krishna siempre está en estado de bienaventuranza ! Por tal razón, el sabio Garga dió con justeza al niño el
nombre de Krishna. (Divino Discurso, 14 Agosto 1990).

 

People think of the ordinary meaning of ‘Krishna’ as ‘one who is dark’ and forget the deeper and truer meanings of the Lord’s Name. ‘Krishna’ has three meanings. The first one is ‘Krishyati iti Krishnah’ (The one who cultivates is Krishna). What must be cultivated? The field of one’s heart (Hridaya-Kshethra). Lord Krishna cultivates the field of our heart by removing the weeds of bad qualities, watering it with love, ploughing it through Sadhana, and sowing the seeds of devotion. The second meaning is “Karshati iti Krishnah” (The one who attracts you is Krishna). Krishna attracts you through His eyes, His speech, His sports, and by His every action. Through His words, He softens and calms the hearts of even those filled with hatred and makes them rejoice. A third meaning of ‘Krishna’ is ‘Kushyati iti Krishna’ (The One who is always blissful).
Krishna is always in a state of bliss! Sage Garga thus, aptly named the child ‘Krishna.’ (Divine Discourse, Aug 14, 1990)

El Señor – quien es «Prema Swarupa» (el amor divino en persona) – te otorgará todo lo que necesites aunque tú no pidas nada. El sabe…El es la Madre que no espera a oír el llanto de su niño para alimentarlo. Su amor es tan vasto y profundo que se anticipa a cada necesidad tuya y corre en tu ayuda. Ustedes siempre están orando ansiosamente y colocando ante mí las largas listas de deseos que tienen. Estos deseos siguen multiplicándose interminablemente. El otorgamiento de uno de ellos conduce a otra nueva serie. Esfuércense por alcanzar la etapa en la cual sólo cuente Su deseo y nada más, y en la cual ustedes sean un instrumento en Sus manos. Las Gopis sólo deseaban escuchar sobre la gloria de Krishna, Sus encantos, Sus palabras, Sus travesuras, juegos, pasatiempos, y los logros y conquistas de Krishna. Cuando ustedes se llenan de amor por Krishna, logran «Sarupya» y
«Sayujya» (similitud de forma y fundición en Krishna). Esfuércense por llegar a esa consumación, no por victorias menores. (Divino Discurso, 13 Julio, 1965).

 

The Lord who is Prema Swarupa (Divine Love personified) will grant you all that you need despite your not asking for anything. He knows…He is the Mother who does not wait to hear the moan of the child to feed it. His love is so vast and deep; He anticipates every need and rushes to help you. You are always praying anxiously and placing before Me the long lists of wishes you have. These wishes go on multiplying endlessly. The fulfilment of one leads to a new series. Strive to arrive at the stage when His wish alone will count and you are an instrument in His Hands. Gopis desired to listen only to Krishna’s glory, Krishna’s charm, Krishna’s words, Krishna’s pranks, plays, pastimes, and Krishna’s achievements and attainments. When you fill yourselves with love for Krishna, you achieve sarupya and sayujya (likeness of form and absorption into Krishna). Strive for that consummation, not for lesser victories.

Cada ave, animal, árbol, montaña, estrella, cada gusanillo, tiene una lección para ti si posees la voluntad y la sed de aprender. Todos ellos convierten al mundo en una verdadera Universidad para ti, un «Gurukul» en el que eres alumno desde tu nacimiento hasta tu muerte. Por ejemplo, el árbol puede enseñarte indulgencia y tolerancia, ofreciendo sombra a todos sin importar su edad, género, religión, nacionalidad o situación económica, y ayuda con frutas y sombra ¡ incluso al enemigo que descarga su hacha sobre su tronco ! El mar se revuelve y forma olas con gran alegría cuando hay luna llena. Quizás el sol haga que se levanten nubes de vapor, pero eso no aflige al mar. Puede que la lluvia llene sus arcas con el rico tributo de los ríos, pero eso no la pone exultante y te enseña ecuanimidad. Observa a las olas rodando una tras la otra hacia la costa
mientras arrastran consigo pecios y desperdicios, botellas y ramas que depositarán en tierra. El mar está en un constante esfuerzo, en una laudable «sadhana» por mantenerse limpio, algo que tú bien podrías adoptar. (Divino Discurso, 26 Julio 1972).

 

Every bird, animal, tree, mountain and star, each tiny worm, has a lesson for you, if you have but the will and the thirst to learn. These make the world a veritable University for you; it is a Gurukul where you are a pupil from birth to death. For example, the tree can teach you forbearance and tolerance. It offers shade to all, irrespective of age, gender, religion, nationality or economic status. It helps with fruit and shade to even the foe who lays his axe on its trunk! The sea rolls and surges in great joy on a full moon. The Sun may lift clouds of vapour from it; the Sea does not whimper. Rain may fill its coffers with the rich riverine tribute; it does not exult. It teaches you equanimity. Watch the waves rolling one behind the other towards the shore bringing bits of flotsam and jetsam, bottles and twigs, to be deposited on land. The sea is in a constant struggle, a laudable Sadhana, to maintain itself clean – which you can well adopt.
