Cada «Yajna» tiene una gran influencia sobre la vida humana, porque estas sagradas fórmulas son potentes sonidos cargados de sutiles misterios. El sacrificio ritual («Yajna») tiene un significado más profundo. Los símbolos tienen significados que son realmente valiosos y esenciales para el progreso humano. Cada rito es un acto simbólico. El «Yajna» tiene su correlato a cada paso con las aspiraciones humanas y las prácticas espirituales., y es mantenido en contacto con la vida y las aspiraciones humanas en sus detalles más ínfimos. La manteca es el producto del batido de las emociones, impulsos, impresiones, e instintos de la gente, lo más puro y la esencia más auténtica de lo divino en las personas. Esa manteca, cuando está más clarificada, se convierte en «ghee», ¡y eso es lo que se ofrece a los dioses ! Cuando reces, siempre concéntrate en el fruto de
sempiterna duración, lo universal, lo espiritual. No ores por pequeños deseos mundanos, sino que dirige tu mente para que siga los lineamientos enseñados por el Señor para restablecer la rectitud («Dharma») en el Universo. (Divino Discurso, 4 octubre 1962).

 

Every yajna has a great influence on human life, for these sacred formulae are potent sounds, charged with subtle mysteries. The ritual sacrifice (yajna) has a deeper meaning; the meanings that symbols have is really valuable and essential for human progress. Every rite is a symbolic act. Yajna is correlated at every step with human aspirations and spiritual practices. It is kept in touch with human life and aspirations in its minutest detail. Butter is the product of the churning of the emotions, impulses, impressions, and instincts of people – the purest and the most authentic essence of the divine in people. That butter, when it is more clarified, becomes ghee, and that is what is offered to the gods! When you pray, always concentrate on the everlasting fruit – the universal, the spiritual. Do not pray for small mundane desires, but direct your mind to follow the guidelines taught by the Lord to re-establish righteousness (dharma) in

El festival de Dasara de diez días está pensado para alentarte a controlar tus diez sentidos. Cuenta la leyenda que la diosa Chamundi mató al demonio Mahisha durante este festival de Dasara. ¿Cuál es el significado oculto de esta historia ? No deberíamos asociarnos con demonios bajo ninguna circunstancia. Tus pensamientos, palabras y acciones deben ser puros, propios de un ser humano y no demoníacos. Evita las malas compañías y busca estar siempre con los buenos. No desarrolles odio hacia nadie. Considera a todo aquel que se cruce en tu camino como a una encarnación de la Divinidad y salúdalo. Di siempre la verdad y actúa con rectitud («Dharma»). Sé pacífico, feliz y bienaventurado. Condúcete con amor en la sociedad. Yo estoy recubierto de amor, y distribuyo ese amor entre todos y cada uno. No odio a nadie y no tengo egoísmo en absoluto. Mi
amor es inegoísta y el Amor es de mi propiedad. Todos ustedes son herederos de esa propiedad. El amor es Dios, y Dios es amor. Por lo tanto, vivan en amor. (Divino Discurso, septiembre 27 2006)

 

The ten-day Dasara festival is meant to encourage you to control your ten senses. Legend says that Goddess Chamundi killed the demon Mahisha during this Dasara festival. What is the inner meaning of this story? We should not under any circumstance associate ourselves with demons. Your thoughts, words and actions must be pure, worthy of being human and not demoniac. Avoid bad company and always be in good company. Do not develop hatred towards anyone. Whomever you come across, consider them as embodiments of Divinity and salute them. Always speak truth, observe righteousness (Dharma). Be peaceful. Be happy and blissful. You should conduct yourself with love in society. I am suffused with love. I distribute that love to one and all. I do not hate anyone. I have no selfishness at all. My love is selfless love. Love is My property. You all are heirs to that property. Love is God, God is Love. En el «Mahavakya» de los Vedas, en «Tat Twam Asi» (Eso Eres Tú) «Tat» denota aquello que está por fuera, y «Twam» se refiere a la Divinidad innata, significando que la misma Divinidad está presente por dentro y por fuera : «Antarbahischa Tatsarvam Vyapya Narayana Stitaha» («Ese Dios que todo lo permea está presente por dentro y por fuera»). Aquello que es visto, oído y experimentado afuera, es solo el reflejo, resonancia y reacción del ser interior. Cuando la realidad está dentro de uno, ¿ por qué anhelar su reflejo exterior ? Es pura locura. El hombre es la encarnación del tiempo y es también el Señor del tiempo. Para poder entender la propia realidad, uno debe controlar su mente. Por eso se dice que quien lo logra es una » mente maestra». Los cinco elementos que ves en lo exterior, también están presentes en ti, y tú eres el Señor de los
cinco elementos. Debes dominar la mente y no convertirte en un esclavo de ella. (Divino Discurso, 9 octubre 2001).

 

In the Mahavakya from the Vedas, Tat Twam Asi (That Thou Art), Tat denotes that which is outside and Twam stands for innate Divinity. It means that the same Divinity is present within and without: Antarbahischa Tatsarvam Vyapya Narayana Stitaha (That all pervasive God is present within and without). That which is seen, heard and experienced outside is nothing but the reflection, resound and reaction of the inner being. When reality is within, why crave for its reflection outside? It is sheer madness. Man is the embodiment of time. Man is the Master of time. In order to understand one’s reality, one has to control the mind. Hence, it is said, master the mind and be a «mastermind». The five elements that are seen outside are also present in you. You are the Master of the five elements. You should master the mind; do not become a slave to it. (Divine Discourse, Oct 9, 2001)

Todos deben considerar hoy como su máximo deber el reverenciar a su madre como divina y servirla, sin importar el país o las circunstancias. Si no puedes respetar y servir a tu madre, que cargó contigo durante nueve meses, te trajo al mundo y te educó con los años, ¿a quién más podrías respetar ? El Señor Sri Rama mismo declaró que la madre de uno y la Patria son más grandes que incluso el Cielo. El amor maternal es semejante al del Creador que protege el infinito cosmos de innumerables maneras. El festival de Navaratri enseña esta profunda verdad. Se debe recordar que la reverencia a la propia madre es el mayor deber de cada uno. Si nuestra madre no está feliz, todos los gastos en los que incurramos y toda la adoración que ofrezcamos en nombre de Durga, Lakshmi y Saraswati durante Navaratri, no rendirán el menor fruto. (Divino Discurso,
14 octubre 1988).

 

Everyone must consider it their foremost duty today to revere one’s own mother as divine and serve her, regardless of country or circumstance. If you cannot respect and serve your mother who bore you for nine months, brought you into the world and reared you over the years, who else are you likely to respect? Lord Sri Rama Himself declared that one’s mother and motherland are greater than even heaven. Maternal love is akin to that of the Creator who protects this infinite cosmos in countless ways. The Navaratri festival teaches this profound truth. One must remember that reverence to one’s own mother is one’s paramount duty. If one’s mother is unhappy, all the expenditure one incurs and all the worship one offers in the name of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati during the Navaratri festival will yield no fruit.
