Hoy, en todas partes hay odio e ira. Dondequiera que miren, hay deseo, enemistad y miedo. ¿Cómo esperan ustedes estar en paz? Enciendan la lámpara del amor en su interior. Entonces el miedo y la ilusión desaparecerán, y tendrán la visión del Uno Mismo. De otro modo, están sujetos a sufrir. Hoy, muchas personas hacen diversos intentos por sentirse felices y bienaventuradas. ¿De dónde se obtiene esta bienaventuranza? ¿Acaso de las cosas materiales, de las personas o de los libros? ¡No, en absoluto! La bienaventuranza está dentro de uno mismo. Ustedes han olvidado su auténtico Uno Mismo, que es la fuente de la bienaventuranza, y luchan duramente en pos de la felicidad artificial de afuera. Despierten a la realidad que reside en su propio corazón, que es el asiento de toda bienaventuranza. El principio del amor se origina en el interior de su propio
corazón, no en el mundo. Desarrollen más y más amor desinteresado, y pongan un límite a sus deseos. Ustedes pueden ser felices sólo cuando sus deseos están controlados. (Divino Discurso, 14 de marzo de 1999)

 

Today there is hatred and anger everywhere. Wherever you look, there is desire, enmity, and fear. How do you expect to be at peace? Light the lamp of love within. Then fear and illusion will disappear and you will have the vision of the Self. Otherwise you are bound to suffer. Many people make several attempts today to be happy and blissful. Where do you get bliss from? Is it in the material things, in individuals, or in books? No, not at all! Bliss is within one’s own Self. You have forgotten your true Self which is the source of bliss and are struggling hard for artificial happiness outside. Awaken to the reality that lies within your heart, which is the seat of all bliss. The principle of love originates from within your heart, not from the world. Develop selfless love more and more, and exercise a ceiling on your desires. You can be happy only when your desires are controlled. [Divine Discourse, Mar 14, 1999]
