Sostengan el rosario sobre el dedo medio, manteniendo juntos los tres dedos Gunas. Esto significa que están trascendiendo el mundo de atributos y cualidades, de nombre y forma, y de multiplicidad, la cual es consecuencia de toda esta transformación, y están avanzando hacia el conocimiento de la Unidad. El dedo Jeevi (el índice) ahora pasa lentamente cada cuenta hacia el pulgar (Brahman), tocando la punta del dedo Brahman. Cuando la cuenta pasa al otro lado, la fusión es enfatizada con cada cuenta y cada respiración, porque, mientras los dedos aprenden y enseñan la lección, también la lengua repite el mantra o el Nombre, con el pranava (el sonido primordial del OM). El japamala (rosario) es muy útil para los principiantes en el sadhana, pero, a medida que progresan, el japa (cántico) debe llegar a ser el aliento mismo de su vida, y así, la rotación de cuentas se
convierte en un ejercicio superfluo e incómodo, en el cual ya no tienen interés. Siempre, en todo momento, en todo lugar, se medita sobre Hari (el Señor) Ese es el estado al cual debe conducirlos el japamala. (Divino Discurso, 10 de mayo de 1969)

 

Hold the rosary over the middle finger, keeping three Guna fingers together. This means that you are now transcending the world of attributes and qualities, of name and form, of multiplicity that is the consequence of all this transformation, and proceeding towards the knowledge of Unity. The Jeevi finger (index finger) now slowly passes each bead towards the thumb (Brahman), touching the tip of the Brahman finger. When the bead passes over, mergence is emphasised with every bead and every breath, for, while the fingers learn and teach the lesson, the tongue too repeats the mantra or the Name, with the pranava (the primal sound of OM). The japamala (rosary) is very useful for beginners in sadhana, but, as you progress, japa (chanting) must become the very breath of your life and so, the rotation of beads becomes a superfluous and cumbersome exercise in which you have no more interest! Always, at all times, in all places, Hari (Lord) is meditated upon.

Trasciendan anekatwa bhava (el sentimiento de multiplicidad) y cultiven ekatwa bhava (el sentimiento de unidad); eso terminará con los conflictos, la pena, el dolor y el orgullo. Vean a todos como expresiones del mismo Dios, como apariciones sobre la misma pantalla, como focos encendidos por la misma corriente, aunque sean de diferentes colores y potencia. Sientan que ustedes y ellos pueden hablar, caminar, pensar y actuar gracias al Dios interior. Son ilusorias las diferencias que ven cuando posan la mirada; ustedes no han desarrollado aún la visión que los hace percibir la unidad, que es la verdad de toda la aparente diversidad, eso es todo. El error está en ustedes, no en el mundo. El mundo es Uno, pero cada uno interpreta que significa aquello que más le gusta. El mundo es Uno, pero cada uno lo ve desde su propio ángulo; por eso parece que tuviera múltiples rostros. (Divino Discurso, 10 de mayo de

Transcend anekatwa bhava (the feeling of multiplicity) and cultivate ekatwa bhava (the feeling of oneness), that will end strife, grief, pain and pride. See all as expressions of the same God, as appearances on the same screen, and as bulbs lit by the same current, though of manifold colours and wattage. Feel that you and they are able to talk and walk, and think and act because of the God within. Differences that strike you while you cast your eyes are illusory; you have not yet developed the vision that makes you apprehend the unity which is the truth of all the seeming diversity, that is all! The fault is in you, not the world. The world is One; but, each takes it to mean what pleases one most! The world is One, but, each sees it from one’s own angle and so, it appears as if it has multiple faces. (Divine Discourse, May 10, 1969)

Cuando nació Cristo, tres reyes fueron a ver al bebé. Uno de ellos declaró que el niño sería un amante de Dios. El segundo dijo que sería el amado de Dios. El tercero declaró que el niño era Dios. Un amante de Dios es un mensajero de Dios. Aquel a quien Dios ama es un “Hijo de Dios”. Cuando uno experimenta ambas situaciones, llega a ser uno con Dios: “el Padre y el Hijo son uno”. Por lo tanto, al principio deben prepararse para ser mensajeros de Dios. Esto significa que deben vivir a la altura del mensaje de Dios. El mensaje llama a servir a todos. La compasión, la moralidad y la integridad son elementos esenciales en el mensaje. Al propagar este mensaje se debe promover la fe en Dios. El amor debe ser el lema. La ausencia de amor hace surgir el odio. Hoy no hay unidad entre la gente. Sin unidad, ¿cómo habrá bienaventuranza? Sin bienaventuranza,
¿cómo puede nadie experimentar a Dios? (Divino Discurso, 25 de diciembre de 1995)

 

When Christ was born, three kings came to see the infant. One of them declared that the child would be a lover of God. The second one said that he would be the beloved of God. The third one declared that he was God. A lover of God is a messenger of God. The one whom God loves is a ‘Son of God’. When one experiences both of these, he becomes one with God – ‘Father and Son are one’. Therefore, at the outset you must prepare yourselves to be messengers of God. This means that you should live up to the message of God. The message calls for service to all. Compassion, morality and integrity are essential elements in the message. In propagating this message faith in God should be promoted. Love should be the watchword. The absence of love gives rise to hatred. Today there is no unity among the people. Without unity how can there be bliss? Without bliss how can anyone experience God? (Divine Discourse, Dec 25, 1995)
