Muchos de ustedes se sientan en meditación (dhyana) y al cabo de cierto tiempo comienzan a quejarse: «Oh, Bhagawan, ¿por qué soy incapaz de concentrarme? ¡Por favor, ayúdame a fijar la mente en Ti!». No se impacienten ni se lamenten. En cambio, sientan que deben purificar y limpiar su mente, para que Dios mismo se sienta atraído a tomarla. Él es Chitta-chora (El Ladrón de Corazones Puros). Cuando entran ladrones en la casa, eligen las cosas de valor; no se molestan por la leña o las bolsas de carbón. También Dios, cuando llega en el papel de un ladrón, busca la cosa más preciosa, la cosa que más aprecia, la cosa en la que ustedes deben invertir el mayor esfuerzo. Él se lleva los pensamientos puros, las acciones empapadas en la dulzura de la empatía y la compasión, y los sentimientos de amor que no buscan revancha. Si
ustedes tienen éxito en ofrendar al Señor un corazón tan purificado, sepan que se harán más ricos en felicidad, serenidad y autoestima. (Divino Discurso, 10 de julio de 1974)

 

Many of you sit in meditation (dhyana) and after sometime start complaining, «Oh Bhagawan, why am I unable to concentrate? Please help me fix my mind on You!» Do not get impatient and bewail. Feel rather that you must make your mind pure and clean, so that God Himself will be attracted to take it. He is Chitta-chora (The Stealer of Pure Hearts). When thieves enter the house, they select things of value; they will not bother about firewood or charcoal bags! God too when He comes in the role of a thief, looks for the most precious thing, the thing He values most, the thing you must take most pains to foster. He carries away pure thoughts, deeds soaked in the sweetness of empathy and compassion, and the feelings of Love that do not crave revenge. If you succeed in offering such a purified heart to the Lord, know that you will grow richer in happiness, serenity and self-esteem!

Manasa bhajare guru charanam, dustara bhava sagara taranam. Apelé a todos aquellos que sufrían en la interminable rueda de nacimiento y muerte para adorar los pies del Guru, el Guru que se anunció a Sí Mismo, quien había regresado para tomar sobre Sí la carga de aquellos que encuentran refugio en Él. Ese fue Mi primer Mensaje a la humanidad. No necesito sus guirnaldas de flores y frutas, cosas que compran por unas pocas rupias; no son enteramente de ustedes. ¡DenMe algo que sea suyo, algo que sea limpio y fragante con el perfume de la virtud y la inocencia, y lavado en las lágrimas del arrepentimiento! Las guirnaldas y frutos que traen son una exhibición de la devoción; ¡los devotos más pobres que no pueden permitirse traerlas se sienten humillados e incapaces por no poder demostrar su devoción como ustedes! Instalen al Señor en su corazón y

Manasa bhajare guru charanam, dustara bhava sagara taranam. I called on all those suffering in the endless round of birth and death to worship the Feet of the Guru, the Guru who was announcing Himself, who had come again for taking upon Himself the burden of those who find refuge in Him. That was My very first Message to humanity. I do not need your flower garlands and fruits, things that you buy for a few rupees; they are not genuinely yours. Give Me something that is yours, something that is clean and fragrant with the perfume of virtue and innocence, and washed in the tears of repentance! Garlands and fruits you bring are an exhibition of your devotion; poorer devotees who cannot afford to bring them feel humiliated and helpless that they cannot demonstrate their devotion like you! Install the Lord in your heart and offer Him the fruits of your righteous actions and the flowers of your inner most thoughts and feelings. That is the worship I like

Deben estar en guardia contra el orgullo que infecta a los eruditos que dominan un cierto número de escrituras. No juzguen a otros como inferiores, porque no participan de bhajans, o círculos de estudio. Pueden estar muy equivocados si evalúan el desarrollo espiritual de una persona por meros aspectos externos. La pureza interna no puede expresarse a través de un show pomposo. Solo ÉL, quien ve dentro de cada corazón sabe quién reside dentro: Rama o Kama (Dios o el deseo egoísta). Estudien sinceramente con fe y devoción. A menos que se pregunten sinceramente, no pueden descubrir el remedio aplicable a un temperamento y sus problemas. Indaguen en la importancia y significado de lo que lean y tengan siempre la meta de ponerlo en práctica. El Universo entero es una universidad para ustedes. Pueden absorber sabiduría del cielo, las nubes, montañas, el
fenómeno diario del amanecer o el atardecer, las estaciones, pájaros, árboles, flores, insectos y de hecho, todos los seres y cosas en la naturaleza. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Divino Discurso del 3 de marzo de 1974.

 

You must be guarded against pride that infects scholars who mastered a certain number of scriptures. Do not judge others as inferior, because they do not participate in bhajans, or study circles. You can be very wrong if you estimate a person’s spiritual development by mere externals. Inner purity cannot express itself through pompous show. Only He who sees into every heart knows who resides therein: Rama or Kama (God or selfish desire). Study sincerely with faith and devotion. Unless you earnestly inquire, you cannot discover the remedy applicable to your temperament and its problems. Delve into the significance and the meaning of what you read, and always have before you the goal of putting what you read into practice. The whole Universe is a university for you. You can imbibe wisdom from the sky, clouds, mountains, rivers, the daily phenomena of sunrise and sunset, seasons, birds, trees, flowers, insects and in fact, all beings and things in

Cada uno de ustedes es un peregrino en el camino procediendo a su propio paso, en concordancia con su aptitud y el escalón alcanzado a través de sus esfuerzos. ¡El consejo que le atrae o se aplica a uno podría no ser apropiado para otro, quien viajó menos distancia o alcanzó un estado más avanzado que el propio! Cuando le digo a una persona que siga una línea de disciplina espiritual (sadhana),¡ es específicamente para el beneficio de esa persona! Cada uno de ustedes tiene una construcción mental, física y espiritual diferente. Cuando un individuo es obeso, el doctor le recomienda cierto tipo de alimento; cuando es delgado, le recomienda otro grupo de alimentos, ¿no es así? Cuando los doctores que tratan las enfermedades del cuerpo prescriben diferentes remedios, ¿cuánto más específicos deben ser los remedios para las variadas y

Every one of you is a pilgrim on that road proceeding at your own pace, according to your qualification and the stage reached through your efforts. The advice that appeals or applies to one of you might not be appropriate to another, who traveled less distance or reached a more advanced state than your own state! When I tell one person to follow one line of spiritual discipline (sadhana), it is specifically for that person’s benefit! Each one of you has different mental, physical and spiritual make-up. When an individual is obese, the doctor advises certain types of food; when he is thin, he advises another group of foods, isn’t it? When doctors who treat diseases of the body have to prescribe different remedies, how much more specific and personal must be the remedies for the complex and varied conditions of mental situations and spiritual yearnings and aspirations of individuals across the
