Los bhajans siempre brindan dicha y paz. Cuiden que no sean usados para fomentar su egoísmo o recriminación mutua ni su envidia u orgullo, como ocurre muy a menudo. Sean humildes, sean calmos y sean tolerantes. Cooperen con todos y traten a cada uno con cortesía y bondad. La devoción no es un uniforme para ser usado los jueves por la noche cuando se reúnen para cantar bhajans, para luego ser dejado de lado cuando los bhajans han terminado. Debe significar el cultivo de una actitud de humildad, de veneración hacia los padres, maestros, mayores y otros; debe ser una perspectiva mental, una actitud siempre presente. Es el sustento del corazón, al igual que el alimento es el sustento del cuerpo. Así como la aguja de la brújula siempre apunta hacia el Norte sin desviarse nunca de esa dirección y regresa a ella sin reparos, rápida y alegremente cuando es apartada de esa
dirección, también el devoto debe mirar siempre al Señor y ser feliz solamente cuando está enfocado en Él. Discurso Divino del 15 de diciembre de 1963.

 

Bhajans always gives bliss and peace. See that it is not used for increasing your egoism, or mutual recrimination, or envy or pride, as very often happens. Be humble, be calm, be tolerant. Cooperate with all and treat everyone with courtesy and kindness. Devotion is not a uniform to be worn on Thursday evenings, when you gather for bhajans, and to be laid aside when the bhajans are over. It must mean the promotion of an attitude of humility, of revering parents, teachers, elders, and others; it is a mental outlook, an attitude that is ever-present. It is the sustenance of the heart, just as food is sustenance for the body. Like the needle of the compass always pointing to the north, never deviating from that direction, and returning to it, readily, gladly, quickly, whenever it is shaken off that line, so too the devotee must face the Lord ever, must be happy only when he is focused on Him. La muerte se viene acercando como el halcón que se abalanza en picada sobre los pollos que están comiendo en la tierra. ¿Cómo puedo recibirlos? ¿Acaso no conozco su pasado y su presente, sus crímenes y castigos, logros y recompensas? No me afecta de ningún modo la llegada al mundo de algunos o la partida de otros. Llevo a cabo lo que es justo y correcto, a veces modificado por Mi gracia. Vivan en la verdadera naturaleza del Ser (Atma tatwam), eso asegurará la paz (Shanti). Con el veneno del apego y del odio dentro de ustedes, ¿cómo pueden ser declarados sanos? Si experimentan la verdadera naturaleza del Ser, se convertirán en Bhagawan Mismo (la Divinidad). Es por esto que me dirijo a ustedes como: “Divyatma Swarupulara”. Cada uno de ustedes debe transformarse para convertirse en Bhagawan, fusionando su alma individual separada (jiva) en el Océano del Atma
Universal. Mi naturaleza es la Bienaventuranza Eterna. Pueden experimentar esa bienaventuranza siguiendo Mis instrucciones y practicando Mis enseñanzas. Discurso Divino del 18 de octubre de 1963.

 

Death comes swooping like the falcon on chicken feeding on the ground. How can I receive you to me? Do I not know your past and present, crime and punishment, achievements and rewards? I am not affected in any way by the arrival into the world of some or the departure from it of some others. I carry out what is just and righteous, at times modified by My grace. Live in the true nature of the Self (Atma tatwam); that will ensure peace (Shanti). With the poison of attachment and hatred inside you, how can you be healthy? If you experience the true nature of the Self, you will become Bhagawan (Divinity) Himself. That is why I address you as Divyatma Swarupulara. Each one of you must transform yourself to become Bhagawan by merging your separate individual soul (jiva) in the Ocean of the Universal Atma. My nature is Eternal Bliss. You must experience bliss by following My instructions and practising My teachings. (Divine Discourse, Oct 18, 1963)

Fe: ¡ese es el verdadero aliento de la victoria! Fe en uno mismo; fe en el buen trabajo que uno ha emprendido y fe en su éxito a pesar de las señales de fracaso. Sean buenos, sean útiles, sean amables, sean temerosos de Dios; ¡entonces ganarán la confianza de todos! El apego y el odio son los grandes enemigos del progreso en cualquier esquema de trabajo. Si alguien está engañado en creer que está salvando a los demás, entonces ¡pobre de él!, pues no hay ningún otro. Todos son Uno, el dolor del uno es el dolor de todos. La falla fundamental es la ignorancia del hombre. Si fueran sabios, sabrían que todos los individuos son olas en la superficie del mismo océano. La acción desinteresada es el ideal al que deben aspirar. El deseo por ganar es como los colmillos venenosos: ¡cuando los sacan, la serpiente del karma se vuelve inofensiva y sus
acciones se vuelven ofrendas dignas (Nishkama Karma)!. Discurso Divino del 15 de septiembre de 1963.

 

Faith – that is the very breath of victory! Faith in oneself, faith in the good work one has set upon, and faith in its success despite signs of failure. Be good, be useful, be kind, be God-fearing — then you’ll win the confidence of everyone! Attachment and hatred are the greatest enemies of progress in any scheme of work. If one is deluded into believing that they are saving others, then woe be unto them, for there is no other at all! All are one, one person’s sorrow is everyone’s sorrow. The ignorance of humanity is the fundamental flaw. If only you are wise, you would know that all individuals are waves on the surface of the self-same ocean. Selfless action is the ideal you must aim for. Desire for gain is like the poison fangs; when you pull them out, the snake of karma is rendered harmless and your actions become a worthy offering (Nishkama Karma)! (Divine Discourse, Sep 15, 1963)

La historia de Rukmini Kalyana no es simplemente la historia de una boda. Es la unión de Purusha (el Espíritu Supremo) con Prakriti (la creación, el mundo objetivo). Rukmini es el ser individual (jiva) y Krishna el Ser Supremo (Paramatma). Rukmini sufría debido a las reglas y restricciones impuestas por el mundo objetivo; el egoísmo es su hermano y la mundanalidad su padre. Piensen en este hecho: Rukmini no se había encontrado nunca con Krishna; su alma ansiaba intensamente al Señor. Con una conducta intachable, ella buscó refugio en Dios. Sus padres, hermano y demás parientes objetaron esto, pero cada persona nace para cumplir su destino, no para actuar un rol en la obra teatral de otro. Cada uno nace para cumplir su propia sentencia, y al final queda libre; ¡nadie permanece en prisión con el pretexto de que un querido camarada sigue estando en ella! Las plegarias de Rukmini,
su arrepentimiento, su anhelo y determinación fueron ampliamente recompensados, y el Señor se apresuró a aceptarla. (Divino Discurso, 28 de octubre de 1963)

 

The story of Rukmini Kalyana is not simply the story of a marriage. It is the union of Purusha (Supreme Spirit) with Prakriti (creation, objective world). Rukmini is the individual self (jiva), and Krishna is the Supreme Self (Paramatma). Rukmini suffered from the rules and restrictions imposed by the objective world; egoism is her brother and worldliness is her father. Just think of this fact: Rukmini never met Krishna before – her soul yearned for the Lord intensely. With earnest good conduct, she sought refuge in God. Her parents, brother and all relatives objected, but every individual is born to work out their destiny, not to act a role in someone else’s drama. Each one is born to serve their own sentence and in the end, they are free. Nobody remains in prison on the pretext that a dear comrade is still in! Rukmini’s prayers, repentance, yearning, and steadfastness were amply rewarded and the Lord rushed to accept her! (Divine
