Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

Tal vez ustedes duden de que pequeñas palabras como Rama, Sai o Krishna, puedan transportarlos a través del ilimitado mar de la vida mundana. Hay personas que cruzan vastos océanos sobre una minúscula balsa, o caminan por oscuras selvas con una diminuta lámpara en sus manos. El nombre Pranava (Om), que es aún más pequeño, tiene un vasto potencial. No es necesario que la balsa sea grande como el mar. La recitación del Nombre del Señor es como la operación de perforar para buscar agua subterránea; es como el golpe de cincel que libera la imagen de Dios aprisionada en el mármol. Rompan el revestimiento, y el Señor aparecerá; hiendan la columna, como Prahlada solicitó a su padre Hiranyakasipu que hiciera, y el Señor, que siempre está presente, se manifestará. Toda madre enseña a su hija a batir la leche para hacer
visible la manteca allí presente. De la misma manera, en el campo espiritual, aprendan de los yoguis que obtuvieron esa fresca manteca (navaneetam), y la ofrendaron a Krishna, mediante la recitación de Su Nombre.

You may doubt whether a small word like Rama, Sai or Krishna can ferry you across the boundless sea of worldly life. People cross vast oceans on a tiny raft; they can walk through dark jungles with a tiny lamp in their hands. The name Pranava (Om) which is even smaller, has vast potentialities. The raft need not be as big as the sea. Recitation of Lord’s Name is like the operation of boring to tap underground water; it’s like the chisel-stroke that will release the image of God imprisoned in the marble. Break the encasement and the Lord will appear; cleave the pillar, as Prahlada asked his father Hiranyakasipu to do, and the Lord who is ever-present will manifest Himself. Every mother teaches her daughter to churn and bring the butter latent in the milk into view. Similarly in the spiritual field, learn from yogis who gained and offered that fresh butter (navaneetam) to Krishna by reciting His Name. (Divine Discourse, Jan 13, 1965)|

Desarrollar fe en el principio del Atma y amar a este con fervor….tal es la verdadera adoración. El Atma es el Uno y Único Amado por la humanidad. Sentir que Él es más querible que cualquier cosa en este mundo o en el otro….tal es la verdadera idolatría que uno puede ofrecer a Dios, y es lo que enseñan los Vedas. Estos no prescriben la aceptación de un paquete de duras y temibles reglas y restricciones; no colocan ante uno la imagen de una prisión en la que quedará encerrado por las rejas de causa y efecto. Los Vedas nos enseñan que existe Alguien que es el soberano tras todas esas reglas y restricciones, Alguien que es el corazón de cada objeto, de cada unidad de energía, de cada partícula o átomo, Alguien bajo cuyas órdenes – únicamente – operan los 5 elementos (eter, aire, fuego, agua, y tierra) , Ámalo, Adóralo,
Idolátralo, dicen los Vedas. Esta es la gran filosofía del amor tal como está elaborada en los Vedas. – (Sathya Sai Vahini, Capítulo 1, «La Suprema Realidad»)

 

Developing faith in the Atma principle and loving it earnestly — this is the real worship. The Atma is the one and only Loved One for humanity. Feel that it is more lovable than any object here or hereafter — that is the true adoration one can offer to God. This is what the Vedas teach. The Vedas do not teach acceptance of a bundle of frightfully hard rules and restrictions; they do not hold before one a prison house where one is shut in by the bars of cause and effect. They teach us that there is One who is the sovereign behind all those rules and restrictions; One who is the core of each object, each unit of energy, and each particle or atom; and One under whose orders alone the five elements — ether, air, fire, water, earth — do operate. La naturaleza humana es una mezcla de características progresistas y regresivas. Uno debe tomar nota de esto y alentar las primeras, excluyendo las últimas. La voluntad para compartir, renunciar, y abandonar, es una virtud preciosa. La curiosidad, ese anhelo por saber, es otra cualidad que debe ser empleada para conocer la Realidad que se ve como variada y momentánea. Este conocimiento puede ser obtenido sólo cuando la conciencia es purificada por la Gracia de Dios. Los días sagrados como Shivaratri son establecidos sólo para imprimir en tu mente el deber de imponer un «ayuno» a tus sentidos y una «vigilia» a tu inteligencia, evitando contaminar tus impulsos e inclinaciones. Incluso el pensamiento de que el «puja» o «japam» (oraciones y contemplación) que efectúas no te han traído beneficios, no debería enturbiar tu fe. Es tu deber adherirte a la práctica espiritual,
como un impulso interior y como tu genuina actividad. Deja el resto a la Voluntad de Dios. Esta debe ser la resolución que adoptes en el santo Shivaratri.

The nature of man is a mixture of progressive and regressive characteristics. One must take note of this and foster the former, to the exclusion of the latter. The will to renounce, to share, and to give up, is a precious virtue. Curiosity, the longing to know, is another quality which must be used to know the Reality which appears as many and momentary. This knowledge can be attained only when the consciousness is purified by the grace of God. Holy days like Shivaratri are marked only to impress upon your mind your duty to impose a ‘fast’ on your senses and a ‘vigil’ on your intelligence, and to keep away from polluting impulses and inclinations. Even the thought that you have not benefited from the puja or japam (prayers and contemplation) you do should not pollute your faith. To adhere to spiritual practises is your duty, your innermost urge, and your genuine activity. Leave the rest to the will of God. This must be your resolve on holy

Ningún ser viviente, excepto el humano, ha sido dotado de inteligencia y facultad discriminativa aumentada al punto de permitirle visualizar el Atma (el Yo Divino). Por esta razón la humanidad es considerada como la corona de la Creación, y es también el motivo de que las Escrituras («Sastras») proclamen que la posibilidad de nacer como humano es un raro caso de buena fortuna. Las personas tienen las calificaciones que se requieren para indagar sobre la causa de la Creación; hay en ellas el impulso y la capacidad necesarias. Muchas grandes personas han dirigido su inteligencia hacia el descubrimiento del omnipresente Señor, el Atma, y han tenido éxito en visualizar ese Principio Divino. Sin embargo, sólo pocas entre los millones de personas en el mundo han podido visualizar el Atma Universal o Yo en Todo. El proceso de vivir tiene un propósito y significado, que es el de alcanzar al

No living being, except the human, has been endowed with intelligence and discriminative faculty, heightened to this degree, in order to enable it to visualise the Atma (Divine Self). This is why humanity is acclaimed as the crown of creation and why the scriptures (sastras) proclaim that the chance of being born as a human is a rare piece of good fortune. People have the qualifications needed to seek the cause of creation; they have in them the urge and the capacity. Many great people have directed their intelligence toward the discovery of the omnipresent Lord (Atma) and succeeded in visualising that Divine Principle. However, amongst millions of people in the world, only few have been able to visualise the Universal Atma or the Self in All.
