Actualmente se adora al Señor ofreciéndole cosas que a ustedes les apetecen, tratando a Dios con todo el honor que se desea para uno mismo. El ídolo es bañado y lavado, decorado con toda clase de joyas, alimentado y abanicado, rodeado de fragancias, etc., ya que estas son las cosas que ustedes desean. Pero, el Señor solo se complace cuando ustedes hacen aquello que Él desea. ¿De qué otro modo pueden ganar Su Gracia? ¿De qué forma que no sea nutriendo,  alimentando, socorriendo y salvando a Sus hijos?   Ayudarán a otros a  alcanzar la consciencia de que Él es su Señor y Guardián, llevando la propia vida de modo recto y sincero, y cultivando la propia fe en Él. Deben mirar a todos como a miembros del propio cuerpo, y al igual que tratan de sanar cualquier magulladura o herida tan rápido y eficientemente como pueden en sus
cuerpos, deben sanar las heridas y dolores de los demás, tanto como sepan y sus medios les permitan. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 19 de febrero de 1970)

 

The Lord is now worshipped by offering Him all things that you crave for, by treating Him with all the honour you like to be done to yourself. The idol is bathed and washed, bedecked with jewels, fed and fanned, surrounded with fragrance, etc., since these are things you desire. But, the Lord is pleased only when you do things the Lord desires! How else then can you win His Grace? How else than by nursing and nourishing, succouring and saving His children? How else than by helping them to realise Him, as their Lord and Guardian, and cultivating faith in Him, through your own straight and sincere living! You must look upon all as limbs of your own body, and just as you try to heal any bruise or wound on any limb as quickly and as efficiently as possible, you must heal the woes and pains of others to the best of your ability and as far as your means allow!  Uno de los primeros principios de la vida recta es practicar silencio, ya que la voz de Dios puede ser oída en la región del corazón solo cuando la lengua está en calma. Entonces, la tormenta está quieta y las olas tranquilas. Nadie se verá tentado de gritar si ustedes hablan en susurros. Establezcan el nivel del tono tan bajo como sea posible, tan alto como sea necesario para alcanzar el límite del círculo al que se dirigen. Ahorren el sonido, ya que es el tesoro del elemento espacio (Akasha), una emanación de Dios mismo. La razón solo puede prevalecer cuando las palabras son expuestas sin el latigazo del sonido. El silencio es el habla del buscador espiritual. El habla suave y dulce es la expresión del amor genuino. El odio chilla, el miedo grita y la vanidad proclama. Pero el amor canta nanas; suaviza y aplica bálsamo. ¡Practiquen el vocabulario del

One of the first principles of straight living is: Practice silence. For, the voice of God can be heard in the region of your heart only when the tongue is stilled. Then the storm is still and the waves are calm. There will be no temptation for others to shout when you talk to them in whispers. Set the level of tone yourself: As low as possible, as high as necessary to reach the outermost boundary of the circle you are addressing. Conserve sound, since it is the treasure of the element space (Akasha), an emanation from God Himself. Reason can prevail only when arguments are advanced without the whipping up of sound. Silence is the speech of the spiritual seeker. Soft sweet speech is the expression of genuine love. Hate screeches, fear squeals and conceit trumpets. But love sings lullabies; it soothes and applies balm. Practice the vocabulary of love; unlearn the language of hate and contempt! (Divine Discourse, Feb 19,1970)

Establecido en esta preferencia de la mente (de ver a Dios en todo), el devoto se convierte en el dedicado sirviente de todos, sin sentido de superioridad o inferioridad. Este es un paso vital 7), que presagia un gran éxito espiritual. 8) Este lleva al buscador tan cerca del Señor que se siente igual que un camarada y amigo, compartiendo el poder y la misericordia, los triunfos y logros de Dios. Se convierte en Su sakha, al igual que lo hizo Arjuna. 9) Como se puede inferir, este es el preludio del paso final, de entrega total o Atmanivedanam, dando paso completamente a la Voluntad de Dios, que el buscador comprende a través de su propia intuición purificada. Noten que el séptimo paso es dasyam (el estado de servidor). Tal es el estado de servicio, el cual debe alcanzar toda persona que se denomine trabajador social, voluntario o sevak. Es mucho más fructífero que recitar el Nombre, contar cuentas, o
pasar horas en meditación, aunque el servicio será más rico y satisfactorio si se hace sobre la base de una disciplina espiritual. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 19 de febrero de 1970)

 

Established in this bent of mind (of seeing the Lord in all), the devotee becomes the devoted servant of all, with no sense of superiority or inferiority. This is a vital step (7), which presages great spiritual success. (8) This takes the seeker so near the Lord that one feels like the comrade and friend, the sharer of God’s power and mercy, of God’s triumphs and achievement, one becomes His sakha like Arjuna had become. (9) As can be inferred, this is the prelude to the final step of total surrender, or Atmanivedanam, yielding fully to the Will of the Lord which the seeker knows through one’s own purified intuition. You will note that the seventh step is dasyam (the servant stage). That is the stage of service, which every person calling oneself a social worker, or volunteer, or Sevak has to reach. It is more fruitful than reciting the Name or counting beads, or spending hours in meditation, though one’s service will be richer and more
satisfying if done on the basis of spiritual discipline. (Divine Discourse, Feb 19, 1970)

De los nueve pasos en el peregrinaje del hombre hacia Dios a lo largo de la senda de la dedicación y la entrega, los seis primeros son: 1) Desarrollar un deseo de escuchar acerca de la grandeza y la gloria de la obra de Dios y de las impresionantes manifestaciones de la Divinidad. Podemos transformarnos a nosotros mismos en la Divinidad, escuchando continua y repetidamente acerca del Señor. 2) Entonando cantos acerca de Dios, en alabanza a Su magnificencia y múltiples proezas. 3) Morar mentalmente en el Señor, deleitándose en la contemplación de Su belleza, majestuosidad y compasión. 4) Iniciarse en la adoración, concentrándose en honrar los pies o las huellas del Señor. 5) Esto desarrolla la propiciación total del Señor, y la adoración ritual sistemática, donde el aspirante encuentra la satisfacción y la inspiración interior. 6) El
aspirante comienza a ver la Forma de Dios favorita, la cual le agrada adorar, en todos los seres, objetos, y donde sea que mire. Por tanto, desarrolla una actitud de Vandana (reverencia) hacia la naturaleza y hacia toda la vida. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 19 de febrero de 1970)

 

The (first six of the nine) steps in the pilgrimage of man towards God along the path of dedication and surrender are: (1) Developing a desire to listen to the glory and grandeur of the handiwork of God and of the various awe-inspiring manifestations of Divinity. It is by hearing about the Lord again and again, that we can transform ourselves into Divinity. (2) Singing to oneself about the Lord, in praise of His magnificence and manifold exploits. (3) Dwelling on the Lord in the mind, revelling in the contemplation of His beauty, majesty and compassion. (4) Entering upon the worship of the Lord, by concentrating on honouring the feet or foot-prints. (5) This develops into a total propitiation of the Lord, and systematic ritualistic worship, in which the aspirant gets inner satisfaction and inspiration. (6) The aspirant begins to see the favourite Form of God, which one likes to worship, in all beings and all objects, wherever one turns, and hence
develops an attitude of Vandana (reverence) towards nature and all life!
