El núcleo de este Universo es el Ser Supremo (Paramatma). Podemos describir el Universo, pero el Ser Supremo está más allá de toda descripción. Tanto lo cognoscible como lo no cognoscible han emanado de la misma Única Conciencia Indivisible. Cada uno es pleno y completo en sí mismo. La conciencia individual es la manifestación de la Conciencia Cósmica. Cuando la envoltura material se desprende, la conciencia individual se funde en su fuente. Los Vedas declaran: «Esto es pleno, aquello es pleno. De lo pleno emerge lo pleno. Cuando lo Pleno es tomado de lo pleno, lo pleno permanece pleno «. Así que el Cosmos, el Mundo, el Individuo – todos son encarnaciones de lo Pleno. Nada es fraccionario o incompleto. De ahí que todo sea en realidad Divino. Pero esta conciencia de la inmanencia de lo Universal puede venir a su experiencia cuando se olvida la conciencia «yo». Cuando el «yo»
en ti desaparece, automáticamente estás preparado para conocer el ‘no-yo’. (Discurso Divino, 5 de abril de 1981).

 

The core of this Universe is the Supreme Self (Paramatma). We can describe the Universe but the Supreme Self is beyond all description. Both the cognisable and the non-cognisable have emanated from the same One Indivisible Consciousness. Each is full and complete in itself. The individual consciousness is the manifestation of the Cosmic Consciousness. When the material sheath falls off, it merges in its source. The Vedas declare, “This is full, that is full. From the full emerges the full. When the Full is taken from the full, the full remains full”. So the Cosmos, the World, the Individual – all are embodiments of the Full. Nothing is fractional or incomplete. Hence all is indeed Divine. But this awareness of the immanence of the Universal can come to your experience when the ‘I’ consciousness is forgotten. When the ‘I’ in you disappears, you automatically become fit to know the ‘non-I’. (Divine

Aunque la humanidad ha logrado progresos incalculables en la ciencia y la tecnología, la mente de todo individuo todavía está contaminada por la codicia, la envidia y el grosero egoísmo. El egotismo se ha enraizado profundamente en el corazón y ha crecido hasta proporciones demoníacas. Las personas se han convertido en títeres, cediendo a cada tirón de la cuerda. Anhelan todas las cosas que les confieren felicidad temporal y acumulan cosas que alimentan su sentido del poder. Examinan cada tema desde su propio punto de vista egoísta. Por lo tanto, están esclavizadas por los monstruos: la envidia, el orgullo, el miedo y los prejuicios. Sólo el conocimiento verdadero puede salvar a la humanidad de la ruina. Sai ha reiterado los cuatro objetivos establecidos en los Vedas. Estos son la Verdad, la Rectitud, la Paz y el Amor. La humanidad debe entender la importancia de estos cuatro
objetivos como pilares fundamentales, aceptarlos, adorarlos y practicarlos en la vida diaria. Sólo entonces la Divinidad latente en el interior podrá brillar en toda su gloria. (Discurso Divino, 8 de Marzo de 1981).

 

Though humanity has achieved incalculable progress in science and technology, the mind of every individual is still polluted with greed, envy and gross selfishness. Egotism has struck deep roots in the heart and has grown to demonic proportions. People have become puppets, yielding to every pull of the string. They crave all things that confer temporary happiness on them and accumulate things that cater to their sense of power. They examine every item from their own selfish point of view. They are therefore enslaved by the monsters – envy, pride, fear and prejudice. True knowledge alone can save mankind from ruinous downfall. Sai has reiterated the four goals laid down in the Vedas. They are Truth, Righteousness, Peace and Love. Humanity must understand the importance of these four goals as foundational pillars, accept them, adore them and practice them in daily living. Only then Divinity latent within can shine forth in all its glory. (Divine

El Sadhana (práctica espiritual) del servicio desinteresado para mejorar la condición de otro ser es superior al Sadhana dirigido a la propia liberación. Adora a Dios en Su manifestación como humanidad. Todos son hijos de Dios, cualquiera que sea el color, la casta, el credo y el idioma. Este sentido de unidad tiene que ser fomentado. ¡Servir a los semejantes, es de hecho adorar a Dios! Tienes en ti tanto el talento como el deseo de elevar a tus semejantes. El país necesita urgentemente de tu servicio hoy mismo. En lenguaje simple, ¡persuade a tus semejantes a abandonar hábitos que socavan su salud y paz, y promueve en ellos las cualidades de ayuda mutua, veracidad y no violencia! Dios dio la bienvenida a la urgencia de manifestar el Cosmos. «Ekoham Bahusyam (Yo soy Uno, me convertiré en Muchos)», se dijo a Sí Mismo. Tú también debes sentir la necesidad de florecer y
expandirte. Obtén bienaventuranza en el proceso, aprópiate de ella y compártela, con el fin de aumentarla. (Discurso Divino, 4 de enero de 1987).

 

The Sadhana (spiritual practice) of selfless service to better another being’s condition is superior to the Sadhana aimed at one’s own liberation. Worship God in His manifestation as mankind. Every one is a child of God, whatever the colour, caste, creed, and language. This sense of unity has to be fostered. Serving to fellow beings, is indeed worshipping God! You have in you both the talent and the desire to uplift your fellow beings. The country needs your service urgently today. In simple language, persuade fellow-beings to give up habits that undermine their health and peace, and promote in them the qualities of mutual aid, truthfulness and nonviolence! God welcomed the urge to manifest the Cosmos. “Ekoham Bahusyam (I am One; I shall become Many)”, He said to Himself. You must also feel the need to blossom and expand. Derive bliss in the process, possess it and share it, in order to increase it. (Divine Discourse, Jan 4,

Una persona que se aleja de la rectitud (dharma) se encuentra con mayor daño que incluso la esclavitud física. Hay gran temor y llanto ahora acerca de la invasión y la servidumbre al enemigo si no están lo suficientemente alerta y unidos. Pero la pérdida del dharma es una calamidad aún mayor, porque ¿qué valor tiene la vida si uno no puede estar a la altura de los talentos con que uno está dotado? Estos principios se llaman eternos (sanatana) porque sus orígenes no están fechados, su autor no es identificable; son las revelaciones hechas en los intelectos clarificados de sabios imparciales. Son básicos y eternos. No representan caprichos temporales. El Dharma no es una cuestión de tiempo y espacio, para ser modificado y ajustado a las necesidades y presiones del momento. Significa una serie de principios fundamentales que deben guiar a la humanidad en su
progreso hacia la armonía interior y la paz exterior. (Discurso Divino, 1 de abril de 1963)

 

A person who strays away from righteousness (dharma) meets with greater harm than even physical slavery. There is dread hue and cry now about invasion and bondage to the enemy if you are not alert enough and united enough. But the loss of dharma is an even greater calamity, for what is life worth if one cannot live up to the talents with which one is endowed? These principles are called eternal (sanatana) because their origins are not dated, their author is not identifiable; they are the revelations made in the clarified intellects of impartial sages. They are basic and eternal. They do not represent temporary vagaries. Dharma is not a matter of time and space, to be modified and adjusted to the needs and pressures of the moment. It means a number of fundamental principles that should guide mankind in its progress toward inner harmony and outer peace. (Divine Discourse, Apr 1, 1963)
