Solamente una combinación armoniosa de lo secular y lo espiritual le dará belleza y resplandor a la vida. No se debe estudiar y obtener dinero solo para llenar el estómago sino también para colmar el corazón de dicha. Lo comida va a llenar únicamente sus estómagos y no sus mentes, mientras que el alimento espiritual les dará felicidad eterna. Por lo tanto, el estudio y la vida mundana deben estar asociados con la espiritualidad. Inculcar la moralidad es muy importante en la vida. Los estudiantes llevan una vida casta y disciplinada mientras viven en residencias especiales, pero una vida totalmente distinta cuando se van. Sus vidas deben estar caracterizadas por la disciplina y la moralidad, ya sea que vivan en una residencia estudiantil o afuera. Todas sus vidas deben ser vividas en consonancia con el dictado de su conciencia. Esta regla debe permanecer igual, se sientan observados o no,

Only a harmonious blend of the secular and spiritual will lend beauty and radiance to life. We should not learn and earn merely to fill our bellies but also to fill our hearts with bliss. The food you eat will fill only your stomach and not the mind, but spiritual food will fill your mind and give you eternal bliss. Hence secular learning and living should be coupled with spirituality. Inculcation of morality is very important in life. Students lead chaste and disciplined lives as long as they live in the hostel, but they lead an altogether different life once they leave the hostel. Your lives should be marked by discipline and morality, whether you live in the hostel or outside. All of your lives should be lived in consonance with the command of your conscience. This rule must remain the same, whether you are being observed or not, whether someone is noticing you or not. (Summer Showers Ch1, May 20, 1996)

Mucho tiempo ha pasado y el mundo va cambiando rápido, pero no hay una transformación en el corazón humano. Algunos dicen que la educación produce un cambio en los seres humanos. Es cierto, pero ¿qué tipo de cambio ha provocado? Es un cambio muy extraño que está llevando a la perversión de la mente humana en lugar de transformar sus corazones. El corazón humano, en su estado primitivo, es sumamente sagrado, y el nacimiento de seres humanos muy difícil de lograrse. De todos los seres vivientes, el nacimiento de humanos es el más escaso (Janthunam narajanma durlabham). Habiendo alcanzado una vida tan preciosa, ¿se están esforzando por vivir como verdaderos seres humanos? Hoy en día se han convertido en un manojo de deseos, poniendo todo su tiempo y esfuerzo para satisfacerlos. Están en un error al pensar que el cumplimiento de sus deseos
les va a proporcionar la felicidad. Comprendan que solo la aniquilación de los deseos los conducirá a la dicha definitiva. La auténtica felicidad se basa en un estado de ausencia de deseos. (Discurso Divino, 13 de abril de 2002)

 

Ages have gone by and the world is fast changing, but there is no transformation in the human heart. Some say that education is bringing about a change in human beings. True, but what type of change has it brought? It is a peculiar change that is leading to perversion of human mind instead of transforming their hearts. Human heart in its pristine state is highly sacred and human birth is difficult to attain. Out of all the living beings, the human birth is the rarest (Janthunam narajanma durlabham). Having attained such a precious life, are you making efforts to live like a true human being? Today you have become a bundle of desires, spending all your time and effort in fulfilling them. You are under the mistaken notion that fulfilment of desires will confer happiness on you. Realise that only annihilation of desires will lead you to ultimate bliss. True happiness lies in the state of desirelessness. (Divine Discourse, Apr 13, 2002)
