No tiene sentido hablar con dulzura, si no hay dulzura en su corazón. Dulzura en el habla y amargura en el corazón no representan la cualidad de un ser humano. Debe haber dulzura en su pensamiento, palabra y acción. Este es el verdadero signo de un ser humano. En ustedes hay amor, pero no son capaces de expresarlo de manera adecuada. Deben llenar su vida de amor desinteresado. En este mundo, no hay nada superior al amor. Los seres humanos son considerados los más sagrados, porque tienen la singular cualidad del amor. Sin embargo, ustedes no son capaces de darse cuenta del valor del nacimiento humano. Dios encarna en la forma humana para difundir el mensaje del amor desinteresado. Una vez que ustedes tengan en el corazón amor desinteresado, podrán conquistar el mundo entero. (Divino Discurso, 17 de octubre de 2003)

 

There is no point in talking sweetly if there is no sweetness in your heart. Sweetness in speech and bitterness in heart is not the quality of a human being. There should be sweetness in your thought, word and deed. This is the true sign of a human being. There is love in you, but you are not able to express it in the proper way. You should fill your life with selfless love. There is nothing superior to love in this world. Human beings are considered to be most sacred because they have the unique quality of love in them. But you are not able to realize the value of human birth. God incarnates in human form in order to spread the message of selfless love. Once you have selfless love in your heart, you can conquer the whole world. (Divine Discourse, Oct 17, 2003)

Deben tratar a sus semejantes como a sus propios hermanos. Ustedes merecen ser llamados seres humanos solo cuando cultivan el espíritu de unidad. Donde no hay unidad se encuentra enemistad y odio. A continuación, el principio del amor se pierde por completo. No solo entre hermanos debe haber unidad y amor, sino también entre esposo y esposa, y en todas las relaciones dentro de la familia. Su principal deber es compartir Su amor con los demás. Solo entonces podrán percibir la importancia de la noble máxima: «Hermandad del hombre y paternidad de Dios». You should treat your fellowmen as your own brothers. You deserve to be called a human being only when you cultivate the spirit of unity. Where there is no unity, there you will find enmity and hatred. Subsequently, the principle of love is lost altogether. There should be unity and love not only among brothers but also between the husband and wife, and all relationships within the family. Your foremost duty is to share His love with others. Only then can you realise the significance of the noble dictum: “Brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God”. But, unfortunately, such idealism is not found today. Even if you do not believe in the fatherhood of God, but you must have faith in the brotherhood of man; practice it and experience bliss therefrom. Our country, Bharat will regain its pristine glory only when we achieve such unity. (Divine Discourse, Oct 17, 2003)

En verdad, ustedes son las encarnaciones mismas del amor. Que la corriente del amor fluya de corazón a corazón. Consideren al amor como su vida. Este es su principal deber. Pueden buscar en cualquier lugar del mundo; no hallarán nada más grande que el amor. El amor es la divina fuerza magnética presente en el ser humano. Todas las épicas sagradas, como el Ramayana, el Mahabharata y el Bhagavata, tienen el amor como trasfondo. El amor es la fuerza magnética que puede transformar incluso a su acérrimo enemigo en un amigo querido. Cultiven el amor. Esto es más importante que su educación mundana. El amor es vida. Truly speaking, you are the very embodiments of love. Let the stream of love flow from one heart to another. Consider love as your life. This is your foremost duty. You may search anywhere in the world. You cannot find anything greater than love. Love is the divine magnetic power present in the human being. All the sacred epics like the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Bhagavata, have love as the undercurrent. Love is the magnetic power that can transform even your bitter enemy into a dearest friend. Develop love. This is more important than your worldly education. Love is life. Not merely that, Love is light. It illumines your path and helps you reach the goal. Your journey of life will be safe and secure when you carry the light of love with you. You will never find darkness. Fill your heart with love. Love is God. Live in love. Veneren al Conocimiento como veneran a su padre, adoren al Amor como adoran a su madre, vincúlense cariñosamente con Dharma (la rectitud) como si fuera su hermano, confíen en Daya (la compasión) como si se tratara de su mejor amigo, tengan a Shantam (la calma) como su media naranja, y traten a Sahana (la fortaleza) como si fuera su hijo querido. Estos son sus auténticos familiares. Pasen el tiempo con ellos, vivan con ellos, no los abandonen ni descuiden. Vivir con estos parientes es la mejor receta. Esta es la mejor atmósfera para procurarse la disciplina y el desapego necesarios para el control de la mente. La mera oración no es suficiente. Tendrán que tragar y digerir el bocado que se pone en la boca; de nada sirve la repetición del nombre de la comida. La madre alimenta con amor, pero el niño debe tomar con avidez y deleite. Si una madre terrenal tiene tanto amor,
¿quién puede estimar el amor de la Madre de todos los seres, la Jagatjanani? (Divino Discurso, 9 de octubre de 1964)

 

Revere Knowledge as you revere your father, adore Love as you adore your mother, bond fondly with Dharma (righteousness) as if it is your own brother, confide in Daya (compassion) as if it is your dearest friend, have Shantam (calmness) as your better half, and treat Sahana (fortitude) as if it is your own beloved son. These are your genuine kith and kin. Move with them, live with them, do not forsake or neglect them. Living with these kinsmen is the best recipe. That is the best atmosphere to ensure the discipline and detachment needed for mind control. Mere prayer will not do. You will have to swallow and digest the morsel that is put into the mouth; repetition of the name of the dish is of no use. The mother feeds lovingly, but the child must take it in with avidity and relish. When an earthly mother has so much love, who can estimate the love of the Mother of all beings, the Jagatjanani?
