Si tienes un auto completamente equipado en buenas condiciones, ¿lo mantendrías en el garaje? El automóvil es principalmente para ir en un viaje; ¿no te meterás en él y conducirás? Lo mismo ocurre con tu cuerpo humano. El nacimiento humano se te ha dado para un gran propósito: realizar al Señor en tu interior. Procede hacia la meta. Aprende a usar las facultades del cuerpo, los sentidos, el intelecto y la mente para alcanzar la meta y avanzar. Para lograr esta gran consumación, debes dar un paso tras otro. Las buenas obras como el culto ritual, la repetición de los nombres sagrados, la meditación, la observancia de los votos, etc., son los «pasos»; los buenos pensamientos como orar por un mayor discernimiento y por más oportunidades de servir a otros también ayudan. Lenta y constantemente limpia la mente, agudiza el intelecto, purifica los sentidos y gana

If you have a fully equipped car in good running condition, would you keep it in the garage? The car is primarily for going on a journey; won’t you get into it and drive? So it is with your human body. The human birth has been given to you for a grand purpose – realising the Lord within. Proceed towards the goal. Learn how to use the faculties of the body, the senses, the intellect and the mind, for achieving the goal and march on. To achieve this great consummation, you must take one step after another. Good deeds like ritual worship, repetition of holy names, meditation, observance of vows, etc., are the ‘steps’; good thoughts like prayer for greater discrimination and more chances to serve others also help. Slowly and steadily cleanse the mind, sharpen the intellect, purify the senses, and win the Lord’s grace.
