Solo reflexionen sobre esto por un minuto: ¿Cómo y por qué los hombre y mujeres olvidaron su Divinidad innata? ¿Cómo cayeron en la ilusión de la pequeñez?. Pregúntense de este modo, luego sabrán que debe ser el resultado de la mente corriendo tras placeres momentáneos. ¿Cuál es entonces el remedio? La gente hoy ha alcanzado maestría sobre montañas de información; ¡pero los sabiduría ha decaído por mucho! En consecuencia, la capacidad de investigar y progresar en el reino del Universo y el Absoluto debe ser desarrollada. El secreto del éxito en este viaje es sólo una palabra: ¡Alabanza! Hagan todo como adoración. ‘Te conviertes en aquello que sientes (Yat bhavam tat bhavati).’ Pueden alcanzar cariño por la Divinidad solo si tienen el sabor del amor de la Divinidad. Just reflect on this for a minute: How and why did men and women forget their innate Divinity? How did they fall into this delusion of little-ness? Inquire in such manner – then you will know that it must be the result of the mind running after momentary pleasures. What then is the remedy? Mastery over mountains of information has been attained by people now; but wisdom has lagged behind! Hence, your capacity to probe and progress into the realm of the Universal and the Absolute must be developed. The secret to success in this journey is just one word: Worship! Do everything as worship. ‘You become that which you feel (Yat bhavam tat bhavati).’ You can get the feeling for the Divine only if you have a taste of the love of the Divine. Divine incarnates as human (Avatar) to give you a taste of that sweet love so that the yearning for the Lord will be firmly implanted in your heart. (Divine Discourse, Nov 24, 1961)

No puede haber una guirnalda sin el hilo que corre a través de las flores. No puede haber persona sin el parentesco interno que Dios le asegura a cada una. Él es el Brhamasutra (el Cordón Brahman), invisible pero inevitable. Cuando un globo es inflado, revienta y el aire de adentro se mezcla con el exterior vasto y sin límites. La expansión es el corazón de la educación. El amor debe expandirse y llenar sus hogares, sociedad, y finalmente, romper estos límites y fundirse en todo el mundo. Una gota de agua sostenida en la palma se evapora rápidamente; está sola también. Pero arrójenla en el océano y sobrevive como parte del océano. Asume su nombre y sabor, ¡la majestuosidad y poder del océano! Cultiven Amor; siembren las semillas del Amor en los corazones, Rieguen Amor en las arenas del desierto, dejen que los verdes brotes, las hermosas

There can be no garland without the string that runs through the flowers. There can be no person without the inner kinship that God ensures for each. He is the Brahmasutra (the Brahman String), invisible but inevitable. When a balloon is blown, it bursts and the air inside it merges with the vast limitless expanse outside. Expansion is the heart of education. Your love must expand and fill your homes, society, and finally, burst these bonds and merge world-over. A drop of water held in the palm evaporates soon; it is too alone. But drop it into the sea and it survives as part of the sea. It assumes the name and taste, the majesty and might of the sea! Cultivate Love; sow the seeds of love in all hearts. Shower Love on the desert sands, let the green shoots, lovely flowers, sweet harvest of nectar of joy, peace and bliss be earned by every being. La reconstrucción de la humanidad sobre bases morales es todavía hoy un problema universal. En todos los países el énfasis está en el estándar de vida, no en el modo de vida. Una vez que se orienten hacia la senda de la felicidad mundana, serán arrastrados hacia un descontento, competición, orgullo y celos aún más grandes. Solo deténganse por un momento y examinen la propia experiencia . Sea que son más felices cuando obtienen más riqueza o sea que estén más apacibles cuando sus deseos son satisfechos. Luego verán la cruda verdad de que un estándar de vida mejorado no es garantía de felicidad. Recuerden, la educación o el dominio de información y la adquisición de destrezas no es garantía de ecuanimidad mental. De hecho, verán que los educados en todas partes están más
descontentos y son más competitivos que los no educados. De este modo el re establecimiento de la rectitud (dharma) , lo cual es la terea del Avatar, es tan urgente en otras partes del mundo como lo es en India. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Divino Discurso del 23 de abril de 1961

 

The reconstruction of humanity on moral foundations is today a universal problem. In all countries the emphasis is on standard of life, not on the way of living. Once you turn toward the path of worldly happiness, you will be led on to even greater discontent, competition, pride and jealousy. Just stop for a moment and examine your own experience; whether you are happier when you grow richer and whether you get more peace as and when your wants are satisfied. Then you will bear witness to the truth that an improved standard of living is no guarantee of happiness. Remember, education or the mastery of information and the acquisition of skills is no guarantee of mental equanimity. As a matter of fact, you find the educated everywhere more discontented and more competitive than the uneducated. So the reestablishment of righteousness (dharma), which is the task of the Avatar, is as urgent in other parts of the world as it is in India. (Divine Discourse,

Todos deberían llevar una vida de tal modo que a ningún ser viviente le provoquen dolor alguno. Ese es su deber supremo. También, es deber primordial de todo aquel que haya tenido la oportunidad de este nacimiento humano, de dedicar una parte de sus energías de vez en cuando a la plegaria, repetición del nombre de Dios, meditación etc. Se debe equilibrar vivir con verdad, rectitud, paz y buenas acciones que sean para servir a otros. Uno debe tener tanto miedo de cometer acciones dañinas para otros, o son pecado, como ahora uno tiene miedo de tocar el fuego o molestar una cobra. Uno debe tener tanto apego y constancia en realizar buenas acciones, en hacer felices a los demás y en adorar al Señor como ahora tienen en acumular oro y riquezas. Este es el dharma (deber) de todos los seres humanos. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba . Prema Vahini, C 65.

 

Everyone should so lead life that no pain is caused to any living thing. That is their supreme duty. Also, it is the prime duty of everyone who has had the chance of this human birth to spare a part of their energies occasionally to prayer, repetition of the Lord’s name, meditation, etc. Everyone must equate living with truth, righteousness, peacefulness, and good works that are of service to others. One must be as afraid of doing acts that are harmful to others or deeds that are sinful as one is now afraid to touch fire or disturb a cobra. One must have as much attachment and steadfastness in carrying out good works, in making others happy and in worshiping the Lord as one now has in accumulating gold and riches. This is the dharma (duty) of all human beings. (Prema Vahini, Ch 65)
