Ustedes son extremadamente afortunados al participar en este Akhanda Bhajan Global. No pierdan esta gran oportunidad de cantar el Nombre del Señor amorosamente. Meera bebió la copa de veneno con el Nombre en su lengua y esta se convirtió en nectar. Bhartrihari lamentaba su carga, «Señor, estos placeres me están carcomiendo; no me permiten ser yo mismo. ¡No! Me liberaré de sus garras. Tomaré refugio en la inagotable bienaventuranza, el reservorio del gozo, el Señor. No tendré deseos de objetos (padartha); ansiaré el Bien Supremo (Parartha)». La devoción y la fe aseguran el regalo del conocimiento del Espíritu, el cual es el premio más grande para la enorme aventura del nacimiento, vida y muerte. You are most fortunate to participate in this (annual global) Akhanda Bhajan. Do not lose this great opportunity to lovingly sing the Lord’s Name. Meera drank the cup of poison with the Name on her tongue and it turned into nectar. Bhartrihari bewailed his lot, «Lord, these pleasures are eating me up; they don’t allow me to be myself. No! I will liberate myself from their clutches. I shall take refuge in the undiminishable bliss, the reservoir of joy, the Lord. I shall not crave for objects (padartha); I shall yearn for the Highest Good (Parartha)». Devotion and faith ensure the gift of knowledge of the Spirit which is the greatest prize for the great adventure of birth, life and death. Endeavour to remember this fact when you sing. Whatever you do, whoever you are, whatever work you perform, you will definitely succeed, provided you do not give up the recitation of His Name with love and devotion incessantly. Existen dos clases de Bhajans ( cantos devocionales)- Uno es Khanda Bhajan y el otro es Akhandaa Bhajan. El primero es para un tiempo específico, como los bhajans cantados por un período limitado sea en la mañana o en la noche. Por otro lado, Akhanda Bhajan involucra la contemplacion constante en Dios en la mañana, tarde o incluso durante toda la noche. Es la contemplación de Dios durante los tres estadíos- la vigilia, el sueño y el sueño profundo. Es sarvada sarvakaleshu sarvatra Harichintanam -pensar en Dios constantemente, en todos los momentos y en todos los lugares. El nombre divino es altamente poderoso. Cada uno de los tantos nombres de Dios posee un tipo de poder específico. Si desean hacer buen uso de este poder y derivar un beneficio duradero, deben participar del Akhanda Bhajan. There are two kinds of Bhajans – one is Khanda Bhajan and the other, Akhanda Bhajan. The former is for a specific time, like the bhajans held for a limited period either in the morning or evening. On the other hand, Akhanda Bhajan involves constant contemplation on God in the morning, evening or even during the night. It is constant contemplation on God during all the three states – the waking, dream and deep sleep. It is sarvada sarvakaleshu sarvatra Harichintanam – thinking of God constantly, at all times and at all places. The divine name is highly potent. Each one of the several names of God has one type of power specific to it. If you wish to make good use of this power and derive lasting benefit out of it, you have to participate in Akhanda bhajan. In order to attain purity, it is not enough if chanting of the divine name is confined to a limited period. It has to be a continuous spiritual exercise

No se sientan eufóricos ante las riquezas, autoridad o inteligencia que les han sido otorgadas. Considérenlas como signos de Su gracia, oportunidades de servir y símbolos de responsabilidad dados en confianza, de manera que puedan beneficiar a los demás. Nunca busquen resaltar las faltas de los demás; compórtense empáticamente con los errores y defectos ajenos. Siempre busquen lo bueno en ellos, solo escuchen los buenos comentarios sobre ellos y nunca presten oidos al escándalo. El desapego les confiere temeridad y aporta fuerza y coraje, en tanto, es el deseo que los debilita y provoca escalofríos ante los que tienen autoridad e influencia. El desapego los dota de auto-respeto, la capacidad de estar de pié ante la calumnia y la difamación. Algunos lloran ante el menor signo de derrota y desilusión.
Esta es una actitud deplorable. ¿Por qué

Do not get elated at the riches, status, authority, or the intelligence which you are bestowed with. Consider them as signs of His grace, opportunities of service, and symbols of responsibility given to you on trust, so that you may benefit others. Never seek to exult over others’ faults; deal empathetically with others’ shortcomings and mistakes. Always seek the good in them, hear only good tidings about them and never give ear to scandal. Detachment confers fearlessness and gives strength and courage, for, it is desire that weakens you and makes you cringe before those in authority and with influence. Detachment endows you with self-respect, the capacity to stand up to slander and calumny. Some weep at the slightest sign of defeat or disappointment. This is despicable behaviour. Why should you have fear or sorrow, with the Lord installed in the altar of your heart? He is in all beings, at all times. Do you not know He is there, guarding you

Draupadi no envió un carruaje invitando al Señor Krishna a venir a rescatarla; en su agonía más profunda pronunció el Nombre del Señor y el Señor Krishna instantáneamente respondió y la salvó del deshonor inminente. En el Treta Yuga, durante los tiempos del Ramayana, el arquitecto Nala y sus monos estaban construyendo un puente sobre el mar que conducía a Lanka; las piedras en la que inscribieron el sagrado nombre de Rama, flotaron sobre las aguas. Pero luego vieron que las piedras se iban alejando por causa del viento y las olas. Estas no formaban un puente continuo para que pasase el ejército. Un sabio dio una sugerencia: Escriban «Ra» en una piedra y «Ma» en otra y entonces se percataron que ambas permanecían juntas fuertemente. ¡Esto funciona en esta era también! Canten el nombre del Señor continuamente. Esto les Servirá como
puente entre ustedes y Él; los mantendrá enfocados en Él y le traerá sobre ustedes Su Gracia infinita!

Draupadi did not send a chariot inviting Lord Krishna to come to her rescue; she uttered the Lord’s Name in her deepest agony and Lord Krishna instantly responded, and saved her from imminent dishonour. In the Treta yuga, during the times of the Ramayana, architect Nala and his monkeys were building a bridge over the sea to Lanka; the boulders on which they inscribed the sacred name Rama, floated on the waters. But they found that the boulders floated away due to wind and wave. They did not form a continuous bridge for the army to pass over. Some wise person gave a suggestion to write ‘Ra’ on one boulder and ‘Ma’ on another and they found that the two stuck hard together. This works in this day and age too! Chant the Lord’s name continuously. It will serve as a bridge between you and Him; it will keep you focused on Him and bring on you His boundless Grace!
