Deben hace feliz a su madre. Cuando no pueden hacer feliz a su madre, ¿cómo pueden estar en paz? No tiene sentido adorar a Dios sin reverenciar a los propios padres. En consecuencia, primero ofrezcan adoración a su madre, ya que ella es quien les ha dado nacimiento. Solo si el corazón de la madre es nectarino, todo el mundo será nectarino. La divinidad del Señor Rama floreció bajo el amoroso cuidado de Kausalya. Ya que Él había nacido del vientre de Kausalya, obtuvo cualidades de Kausalya. Es por ello que Él es adorado como Dios. Shivaji pudo hacer tanto sacrificio por el país porque había nacido de la dama pura, Jijabai. Es por la nobleza de la madre que los niños alcanzan buena fortuna. Entonces, ¡encarnaciones del amor! No hay nada más allá del amor. Solo el amor es la fuente primordial de toda la buena fortuna Deberían, en

You must make your mother happy. When you cannot make your mother happy, how can you be peaceful? It is meaningless to worship God without revering one’s own parents. Hence first offer worship to your mother as she is the one who has given you birth. Only if the mother’s heart is nectarous will the whole world be nectarous. Lord Rama’s divinity blossomed under the loving care of Kausalya. As He was born from the womb of Kausalya, He got the qualities of Kausalya. That is why He is worshipped as God. Shivaji could do so much sacrifice for the country because he was born to the pure lady, Jijabai. It is because of the nobility of the mother that the children attain good fortune. So, embodiments of love! There is nothing beyond love. Only love is the mainspring of all your good fortune. You should therefore adore and worship the mother who is the embodiment of love. Hablen suave y dulcemente, y cultiven una mente bondadosa. Solo entonces se ganarán el respeto de los demás. No siempre pueden obligar, pero pueden hablar atentamente. No presten oídos a la conversación maligna. Kaikeyi prestó atención a las malvadas palabras de Manthara, las que finalmente llevaron al exilio de Rama, a quien ella había amado más que a su propio hijo, Bharata. Hoy ¿pueden encontrar a alguien que se llame Kaikeyi o Mathara? No. La sociedad no respetará a aquellos que se satisfacen con una conversación malvada y escuchan maledicencias. Así, ustedes siempre deberían hablar y escuchar palabras buenas. Si sucede que escuchan algo malo, no lo compartan con otros. Cuál es el propósito de causar desasosiego a otros solo por decirles algo, que les ha causado malestar a ustedes. Hoy hay personas que no solo prestan su oído a la

Speak softly and sweetly, and cultivate a good mind. Only then will you earn the respect of others. You cannot always oblige, but you can always speak obligingly. Do not listen to evil talk. Kaikeyi paid heed to the evil words of Manthara, which ultimately led to the exile of Rama, whom she had loved much more than her own son, Bharata. Today do you find any woman named Kaikeyi or Manthara? No. Society will not respect those who indulge in evil talk and listen to evil. So, you should always speak and listen to good words. If you happen to hear something evil do not share it with others. What is the purpose in causing unrest to others by telling them something, which has caused unrest to you. Today there are people who not only lend their ear to evil talk but also spread the same to the rest of society causing a great deal of unrest. Let your tongue utter such words, which will give joy to others. (Divine Discourse, Feb 22, 2001)

Una madre va hasta el río a traer agua, dejando su bebé en la cuna. Ya de regreso, es posible que converse con otras damas mientras carga la vasija llena de agua sobre la cabeza – pero su mente estará constantemente enfocada en su bebé, y desea regresar a casa lo antes posible, por temor de que el niño se despierte y comience a llorar. Del mismo modo, tu mente debe estar siempre enfocada en el Atma de entre todas las actividades. Que esa sea la meta. Mientras canten bhajans, pueden entonar varios cantos en tonos diferentes, ¡pero tu mente tiene que estar constantemente enfocada en Dios! Arjuna le preguntó al Señor Krishna de cómo podía pelear en la guerra si tenía que estar constantemente pensando en Dios. Krishna respondió, » oh, iluso, son tu cuerpo y sentidos que están envueltos en el asunto de la guerra. Si así es el caso, siempre puedes enfocar la
mente en Dios.» Realicen todas sus acciones con el solo propósito de agradar a Dios. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, 22 de febrero de 2001.

 

A mother goes to the river to fetch water, leaving her infant in the cradle. On her way back, she may be conversing with other ladies while carrying a pot full of water on her head – but her mind will be constantly focused on her infant and she wants to get back home as quickly as possible, lest her child should wake up and start crying. Likewise, your mind should always be focused on the Atma amidst all activities. Make that your goal. While doing bhajans, you may sing various songs in different tunes, but your mind should be constantly fixed on the Divine! Arjuna asked Lord Krishna as to how he could fight in the war if he had to constantly think of God. Krishna replied, “O simpleton, it is your body and senses that are involved in the warfare. Such being the case, you can always focus the mind on God.” Perform all your actions with the sole purpose of pleasing God. (Divine Discourse, Feb 22, 2001)

Ustedes están sujetos a dificultades porque han olvidado la fuente de origen. El pez nace en en el agua. No puede sobrevivir ni un instante sin ella. El pez es feliz solo cuando está en el agua, donde se originó. Cuál es la fuente del hombre? El Señor Krishna contesta en el Gita «Mamaivamsho Jeevaloke Jeevabhuta Sanathanaha»(el eterno Atma en todos los seres es una parte de Mi Ser). Por lo tanto, es evidente que todo ser humano es una chispa de la Divinidad. Cada uno se ha originado de la Divinidad. Habiendo nacido del Atma, ustedes deben contemplar siempre en el Uno Mismo. Se pondrán inquietos y enfrentarán adversidades si olvidan al Atma. Por eso, no olviden nunca su propio origen. Tengan fe en el Uno Mismo; respétenlo y venérenlo; que sea la base de su vida. Este es el Dharma (deber) al cual deben adherir. Puede que ocupen cualquier posición de autoridad, que tengan riqueza y
prosperidad, pero solo la fe en el Uno Mismo los protegerá. (Divino Discurso, 22 de febrero de 2001)

 

You are subjected to hardships because you have forgotten the source of your origin. Fish is born in water. It cannot survive even for a while without water. It is happy only when it is in water, where it originated. What is the source of man? Lord Krishna answered in the Gita, “Mamaivamsho Jeevaloke Jeevabhuta Sanathanaha” (the Eternal Atma in all beings is a part of My Being). Thus it is evident that every human is a spark of the Divine. Each one originated from the Divine. Having been born from the Atma, you should always contemplate on the Self. You will become restless and face hardships if you forget the Atma. So never forget your origin. Have faith in the Self; Respect and revere it; Let it be the basis of your life. This is the Dharma (duty) you should adhere to. You may occupy any position of authority, have wealth and prosperity, but faith in the Self alone will protect you. (Divine Discourse, Feb 22, 2001)
