Ustedes están luchando y planificando varios proyectos innecesariamente, pensando en ellos día y noche. A pesar de todas sus luchas, lo que tenga que salir de sus manos lo hará. La Divinidad en todos los seres humanos es una y la misma. El cuerpo es como una burbuja de agua. La mente es como un mono loco. Si siguen a este mono loco, tendrán problemas. De la misma manera, si creen en el cuerpo, no saben cuándo este cuerpo, que es como una burbuja de agua, estallará. Nada es permanente. Sólo el Ser Divino (Atma) es eterno e inmortal. ‘Yo’, ‘Ser’, ‘Dios’ son todos diferentes nombres por los cuales se llama a Dios, el Atmaswarupa. Dios encarnó como Rama, Krishna y similares, quienes sufrieron varias dificultades para demostrar grandes ideales. Finalmente, cada uno de ellos dejó su envoltura mortal. Los cuerpos físicos de los Avatares sufren cambios, pero el Alma Divina (Atma) en sus
cuerpos sigue siendo la misma. Es omnipresente, eterna, inmutable y trasciende el tiempo. (Discurso Divino, 1 de enero de 2009).

 

You are unnecessarily struggling and planning several schemes, thinking about them day and night. In spite of all your struggles, what has to go out of your hands will go. Divinity in all the human beings is one and the same. The body is like a water bubble. The mind is like a mad monkey. If you follow this mad monkey, you will get into trouble. In the same manner, if you believe in the body, you do not know when this body, which is like a water bubble, will burst. Nothing is permanent. Only the Divine Self (Atma) is eternal and immortal. ‘I’, ‘Self’, ‘God’ are all different names by which God, the Atmaswarupa is called. God incarnated as Rama, Krishna and the like, and underwent several difficulties to demonstrate great ideals. Finally, every one of them left their mortal coil. The physical bodies of the Avatars undergo changes, but the Divine Soul (Atma) in their bodies remains the same. It is omnipresent,
eternal, changeless and transcends time. (Divine Discourse, Jan 1, 2009)

Es realmente una tontería distinguir un día determinado en un año y celebrar ese día con gran alegría. Todo en este mundo objetivo es impermanente e irreal. Por lo tanto, debemos contemplar la verdad eterna y la realidad. No debemos perder el tiempo pensando en el pasado o anticipando el futuro. Es una tontería preocuparse por el futuro o por el pasado, olvidando el presente. Sólo el presente es real. El pasado es pasado, no lo pueden traer de regreso, sin importar cuánto rueguen por ello. El futuro está escondido en la matriz del tiempo. Incapaz de internalizar esta verdad, las personas se preocupan por el pasado y el futuro. Por lo tanto, a partir de ahora, den importancia al presente. ¡Es importante que consideren cada minuto de cada uno de sus días y celébrenlo con nueva alegría! De hecho, para un verdadero devoto, cada día es nuevo; ¡cada
día es un día de fiesta! (Discurso Divino, 01 de enero de 2004).

 

It is indeed foolishness to single out a particular day in a year and celebrate only that day with great joy. Everything in this objective world is impermanent and unreal. Hence we must contemplate on the eternal truth and reality. We should not waste our time brooding over the past or anticipating the future. It is great foolishness to worry about the future or the past, forgetting the present. The present is only real. Past is past, you cannot get it back, however much you pray for it. The future is hidden in the womb of time. Unable to internalise this truth, people worry about past and future. Hence, from now, give importance to the present. It is important that you consider every minute of your every day and celebrate it with new joy! Indeed, for a true devotee, every day is new; every day is a festival day! (Divine Discourse, Jan 01, 2004)

Deben darse cuenta de que para cada acción hay una consecuencia. Los resultados de cada acción dependen de la naturaleza de la acción, así como la naturaleza del árbol depende de la semilla que se siembra. Las consecuencias de las acciones de cada uno son ineludibles y es por esta razón que el emperador Manu estableció que todos deben observar la rectitud (Dharma). Las consecuencias de las acciones pueden aparecer más tarde o más temprano, pero están obligadas a ocurrir. Cuando piensen constantemente en Dios y realicen todas las acciones con sentimientos divinos, experimentarán el pleno florecimiento de las cualidades humanas. No pueden evitar las acciones. Deben transformar el trabajo en adoración. Tienen que realizar el trabajo en este espíritu. No se puede sustituir la oración por el trabajo. Tienen que combinar ambos, el trabajo y la adoración.
Por lo tanto, de ahora en adelante, consideren cada acción como dedicada a Dios. (Discurso Divino, 31 de agosto de 1992).

 

You should realise that for every action there is a consequence. The results of each action depend on the nature of the action, just as the nature of the tree depends on the seed which is sowed. The consequences of one’s actions are inescapable and it is for this reason that the Emperor Manu laid down that all should observe righteousness (Dharma). The consequences of actions may appear sooner or later but they are bound to occur. When you constantly think of God and perform all actions with divine feelings, you will experience the full blossoming of the human qualities. You cannot avoid actions. You must transform work into worship. You have to perform work in this spirit. You cannot substitute prayer for work. You have to combine both work and worship. Hence from now on, consider your every action as dedicated to God. (Divine Discourse, Aug 31, 1992).

Desarrollen la cualidad del amor. No odien a nadie. Desarrollen la fe de que cualquier cosa que les suceda es bueno para ustedes. Piensen que siempre que se hallen frente a alguna dificultad o sufrimiento, ustedes son los únicos responsables de ello. Por otra parte, si insultan a alguien, consciente o inconscientemente, esa otra persona puede castigarles algún día. El placer y el dolor son productos de su propia fabricación. El mérito o pecado cometido, les sigue como una sombra siempre. Muchos hoy dan sermones a los demás, sin que ellos mismos sigan lo que aconsejan. ¿Qué valor tendrá su consejo? Cada vez que lean o escuchen un pensamiento noble, no les valdrá de nada hasta que lo practiquen asiduamente. Ayuden a sus semejantes al menos en una pequeña medida. A cambio, se les ayudará cuando más lo necesiten. Nunca culpen a otros por las dificultades que
enfrenten. Nunca abusen de nadie. Amen a todos y traten a todos como a sus hermanos y hermanas. (Discurso Divino, 01 de enero de 2004).

 

Develop the quality of love. Do not hate anyone. Develop the faith that whatever happens to you is good for you. Think that whenever you encounter any difficulty or suffering, you alone are responsible for it. On the other hand, if you insult anyone knowingly or unknowingly, that someone else may punish you some day. Pleasure and pain are the products of your own making. The merit or sin you commit, follows you like a shadow always. Many today give sermons to others, without they themselves following what they advice. What value will your advice have? Whenever you read or listen to a noble thought, it is of no value to you until you practice it assiduously. Help your fellow human beings at least in a small measure. You will be helped in return when you need it most. Never blame others for the difficulties you face. Never abuse anyone. Love all and treat everyone as your brothers and sisters.
