Dedica tu tiempo al servicio del mundo con fe en el Señor, sin tener en cuenta los frutos, y así serás bendecido. De otra forma, aunque el cuerpo pueda estar inactivo, la mente se encontrará muy ocupada en sus propias actividades. Las personas con tales mentes resultan víctimas del karma (consecuencias) ¡a pesar de que no hayan hecho nada ! Cuando el individuo tiene la mente fija en la contemplación de Dios y en la búsqueda de la verdad, aunque el cuerpo y los sentidos hagan actos que no son de servicio al mundo, la persona no será afectada por estos, ya que a pesar de que efectúan acciones son aún así no-hacedores de acción. Esta es la lección del «Bhagavad Gita». El corazón de la persona que no se esfuerza por cultivar la mente con pensamientos santos, con seguridad resultará un paraíso de maldad y perversidad. Todos los que aspiran
a elevarse a la grandeza, que buscan un rumbo inequívoco y anhelan la salvación, deben tener presente esto en su mente. (Prema Vahini, Cap. 72).

 

Devote your time to the service of the world with faith in the Lord, regardless of its fruits. Then you become blessed. Otherwise though the body may be inactive, the mind will be very busy, committing acts on its own. People with such minds fall prey to karma (consequences) in spite of their not doing anything! When a person has the mind fixed on contemplation of God and the pursuit of truth, though the body and senses do acts that are not of service to the world, they won’t be affected by them; though they do actions they are still non-doers of action. This is the lesson from Bhagavad Gita. The heart of the person who doesn’t strive to cultivate the mind with holy thoughts is certain to be the paradise of evil and wickedness. Everyone who hopes to rise to greatness, who seeks one-pointedness and aspires for salvation must bear this in mind. (Prema Vahini, Ch 72)

Al Señor se lo alcanza solamente a través de una suprema devoción (Para-Bhakti), y esta suprema devoción sólo puede ser adquirida mediante la sabiduría espiritual (Jnana). Sólo con fe (Shraddha) se cultiva dicha sabiduría espiritual, y la fe llega sólo a través del amor. de manera que ¿ cómo se debe cultivar amor ? De dos formas:
1) Considera siempre las faltas de otros – sin importar su tamaño – como insignificantes y minúsculas, pero considera tus propias faltas – aunque sean mínimas y despreciables – como mayúsculas, y siéntete por ello entristecido y arrepentido. De esta manera evitas desarrollar defectos y faltas mayores, y adquieres las cualidades de fraternidad e indulgencia.
2) Cualquier cosa que hagas, hazla recordando que Dios es Omnipresente. Él ve, oye y sabe todo. Discrimina entre lo verdadero y lo
falso, y di sólo la verdad. Discrimina entre lo cierto y lo erróneo, y haz sólo lo correcto. Esfuérzate a cada instante para estar consciente de la Omnipotencia de Dios.
(Prema Vahini, Capítulo 19).

 

The Lord is attained only through supreme devotion (Para-Bhakthi). Supreme devotion can be acquired only through spiritual wisdom (jnana). Spiritual wisdom can be cultivated only through faith (shraddha), and faith comes only through love. So how is love to be cultivated? Through two methods: (1) Always consider the faults of others, however big, to be insignificant and negligible. Always consider your own faults, however insignificant and negligible, to be big, and feel sad and repentant. By these means, you avoid developing bigger faults and defects, and acquire the qualities of brotherliness and forbearance. (2) Whatever you do, do it remembering that God is omnipresent. He sees, hears and knows everything. Discriminate between the true and the false, and speak only the truth. Discriminate between right and wrong, and do only the right. Endeavour every moment to be aware of the omnipotence of God. (Prema Vahini, Ch 19)

Comparte con alegría tu educación y fortuna con todos tus semejantes. Dios es el verdadero propietario de las riquezas que adquieres. Recuerda, el dinero que ganas pertenece al Fideicomiso de Dios. Tú eres Su Asociado y por lo tanto debes hacer un uso apropiado de tus bienes. No ambiciones dinero u otras formas de riqueza. En su lugar, contempla constantemente en Dios. No necesitas ir a cuevas, o bosques, o Ashrams, en Su búsqueda. Doquiera te encuentres, Él está contigo. Desarrolla esta fe y triunfa sobre tus cualidades demoníacas. No olvides que lo que tienes en definitiva no es tu riqueza o educación, sino el pecado o el mérito que has acumulado debido a tus acciones. Comparte con otros, al menos, un bocado de lo que comes. Jamás olvides practicar servicio y amor desinteresado. Ayúdate a ti mismo y ayuda a otros, porque esta es sin dudas la más grande
práctica espiritual (Sadhana). Si no se siguen estos principios, ¡no puede haber paz ni alegría en ningún lugar del mundo! (Divino Discurso, 1 Enero 2004)

 

Gladly share your education and wealth with your fellow human beings. God is the real owner of the wealth you acquire. Remember, the money you earn belongs to God’s Trust. You are His Trustee and accordingly, make proper utilisation of your wealth. Do not hanker over money or other forms of wealth. Instead, constantly contemplate on God. You don’t have to go to caves or forests or ashrams in search of Him. Wherever you are, He is with you. Develop this faith and win over your demonic qualities. Do not forget that what ultimately comes with you is not your wealth or education, but the sin or merit you have accumulated through your actions. Share at least a morsel of what you eat with others. Never forget to practice selfless love and service. Help yourself and help others, this is indeed the greatest spiritual practice (sadhana). Without following these principles, there is no peace and joy, anywhere in the world! (Divine

Incluso si una persona – a causa de su perversidad o de su ciego engreimiento – no ha cultivado buenas cualidades hasta el momento, ¡puede al menos hacer un intento o esforzarse por obtenerlas ! Si no se hace esto, la excelencia de la vida no puede ser disfrutada y la existencia es un desperdicio de nulo valor.La mente se extravía en falsos valores debido al accionar de las fuerzas negativas, y es incapaz de desarrollarse por los carriles correctos. Una mente así, alejada del bien, podría causar un daño indescriptible. Todo el progreso logrado por el Sadhaka (aspirante espiritual) podría ser destruído por tal mente en un momento de descuido, como si cayera una chispa sobre un barril de pólvora por causa de una negligencia momentánea !

 

Even if a person through perversity or blind conceit has thus far not cultivated good qualities, the person can at least make a try or make efforts to secure them! If this is not done, the excellence of life cannot be tasted and life is a waste; its worth is nil. The mind, by sheer force of negative forces, gets lost in false values and is unable to develop along the right lines. Such a mind, turned away from good, might cause indescribable evil. All progress won by the Sadhaka (spiritual aspirant) might be destroyed by such a mind in an unguarded moment, like a spark falling on a keg of gun powder because of a moment’s negligence!
