El pensar con maldad, hablar con maldad y ver con maldad, invariablemente conduce a la ruina total. Por ejemplo, en el Mahabharata, Duryodhana siempre pensaba en los Pandavas con maldad, y terminó llevando a la destrucción a su propia familia. El Ramayana trae la historia de Kaikeyi, quien prestó oídos a los malvados consejos de Manthara, y así perdió no solamente a su esposo sino también la consideración y amor de su hijo Bharata. Aprende a vivir en armonía y unidad. Cada órgano del cuerpo funciona en cooperación con cada uno de los otros. Si tu pie pisa una espina, tu ojo siente el dolor y derrama lágrimas. Si tu ojo percibe una espina o piedra en el camino, previene al pie para que las evite. Tú también debes desarrollar el mismo sentido de unidad y compartir tus alegrías y problemas como una familia. No hay nada que no puedas lograr con la
unidad como tu fortaleza. Con pureza y unidad, tu genuina devoción a Dios también crecerá. Haz de las palabras pureza, unidad y divinidad tu contraseña. Ellas, por sí solas, te asegurarán bienestar material y espiritual. (Divino Discurso, 22 Mayo 1986).

 

Thinking evil, speaking evil and seeing evil invariably leads to total ruin. For example, in Mahabharata, Duryodhana always had evil thoughts about the Pandavas and ultimately he brought destruction upon his entire family. The Ramayana had the story of Kaikeyi, who listened to the evil counsel of Manthara, and so lost not only her husband but the regard and love of her son Bharata. Learn to live in harmony and unity. Every organ in the body functions in cooperation with every other part. If your foot steps on a thorn, your eye feels the pain and sheds tears. If your eye notices a thorn or stone on the road, it warns the foot to avoid it. You must also develop the same sense of unity and share your joys and troubles as one family. There is nothing you cannot achieve with unity as your strength. With purity and unity, your genuine devotion to God will also grow. Make purity, unity, divinity your watchwords; they alone will ensure material
and spiritual well-being. (Divine Discourse, May 22, 1986)

Hoy parece que la unidad ha desaparecido por completo, en todas partes, y que la enemistad va en aumento. No desarrollen oposición ni diferencias entre ustedes, dondequiera que estén. No es sano. Incluso si alguien los hace enojar, no peleen con esa persona. Comprendan que al reñir con otros, en realidad se hacen daño a sí mismos. Recuerden que los celos hacen surgir el odio y perjudican su propio bienestar. Por lo tanto, logren la unidad y practiquen vivir en unidad, en todo aspecto. Controlen sus pensamientos. Esta es la cualidad de una persona verdaderamente educada. Este es el auténtico espíritu de «Educare». Todos son seres humanos. Todos son hijos de Dios. En consecuencia, vivan con unidad, sin dar cabida a diferencia alguna. Todo se hará bueno si constantemente mantienen puro su corazón. El fin de la educación es un buen carácter. Con buen carácter
pueden lograr cualquier cosa en la vida. Luego, es esencial para ustedes custodiar su carácter. Una persona así es una persona realmente ilustrada. (Discurso Divino, 22 de noviembre de 2010)

 

Today it appears that unity has altogether disappeared everywhere and enmity is on the rise. Do not develop opposition or differences amongst you, wherever you are. It is not healthy. Even if somebody makes you angry, do not fight with them. Understand that by fighting with others, you actually harm yourself. Remember, jealousy gives rise to hatred and is harmful to your well-being. Hence achieve unity and practice to live with unity in all matters. Control your thoughts. This is the quality of a truly educated person. This is the true spirit of ‘Educare’. All are human beings. All are children of God. Therefore, live with unity without giving room to any differences. Everything will become good if you keep your heart pure constantly. The end of education is good character. With good character, you can achieve anything in life. Hence it is very essential for you to always safeguard your character. Such a person is a truly learned one!

Dios no tiene ninguna forma en particular. Brahma, Vishnu y Maheswara no son diferentes entre sí. Dios se manifiesta en la forma que Sus devotos contemplan. Si una mujer considera a su esposo como Dios, puede percibir a Dios en él. Dios está presente en todo ser humano (Daivam manusha rupena). Todos son encarnaciones de la Divinidad. Luego, la respuesta para la pregunta «¿dónde está Dios?» es «Dios está en todas partes». El alma (Atma) presente en ustedes bajo la forma de la conciencia, está presente en todo lugar y en toda persona. Por lo tanto, no busquen al omnipresente Dios. Cierren los ojos y contemplen en la forma de Dios que más les agrade. Dios se manifestará ante ustedes, precisamente en esa forma. Nunca piensen que Dios está presente en un lugar en especial, o sólo en aquel sitio distante. Él es omnipresente en todo lugar y en
todo tiempo, impregnando cada átomo del universo. Hagan que su objetivo en esta vida sea experimentar a ese dulce Señor dentro de ustedes mismos. (Discurso Divino, 16 de marzo de 2010)

 

God has no particular form. Brahma, Vishnu, Maheswara are not different from each other. God manifests in the form His devotees contemplate upon. If a woman considers her husband as God, she can realise God in him. God is present in every human being (Daivam manusha rupena). All are embodiments of the Divine. So to answer the question, “Where is God?”, “God is everywhere.” The Soul (Atma) that is present in you in the form of consciousness is present everywhere and in everyone. Hence do not search for the omnipresent God! Close your eyes and contemplate on the form of God that you like the most. God will manifest before you in that very form. Never think that God is present at one particular place or that distant place only! He is omnipresent everywhere, at all times, and permeates every atom of the universe. Make it your objective in this life to experience that Sweet Lord within yourself! (Divine Discourse, Mar 16, 2010)

La gente trata de obtener paz acumulando autoridad y riqueza, las cuales les dan poder sobre los demás y la capacidad de disfrutar de comodidades, las que les otorgarían paz. Sin embargo, rápidamente se dan cuenta de que estos dos caminos están acosados por el miedo, y la paz que se obtiene es pasible de rápida y violenta extinción. Entonces ¿cómo pueden ustedes lograr la paz? ¡Sólo a través del amor! La paz es el fruto del árbol de la vida; sin ella, el árbol es un tocón estéril, sin valor alguno. El fruto está envuelto en una piel amarga, que preserva y guarda el dulce jugo; deben quitar la piel para probar su dulzura, y fortalecerse. La gruesa cáscara simboliza las seis malas pasiones que envuelven el amoroso corazón de cada uno: lujuria, ira, codicia, apego, orgullo y odio. Aquellos que tienen éxito en quitar la
cáscara y contactar la dulzura interior, mediante una dura y constante disciplina, logran aquella paz que es perpetua e invariable. (Discurso Divino, 1 de enero de 1971)

 

People try to obtain peace by accumulating authority and wealth, which gives them power over others and the ability to command conveniences and comforts which will confer peace. But they quickly realise that both these paths are beset with fear, and the peace that one secures is liable to quick and violent extinction. How then can you achieve peace? Only through Love! Peace is the fruit of the tree of life; without it, the tree is a barren stump with zero value. The fruit is encased within a bitter skin, so that the sweet juice may be preserved and guarded; you must remove the skin to taste its sweetness and to strengthen yourself. The thick rind is symbolic of the six evil passions that encase everyone’s loving heart: lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride and hate. Those who succeed in removing the rind and contact the sweetness within through hard and consistent discipline attain the peace that is everlasting and unchanging. (Divine Discourse,
