Durante Su tiempo, Jesús se sometió a numerosas pruebas y tribulaciones. Se convirtió en el Salvador y Mesías de los pobres y desamparados, ayudándolos de muchas maneras. Una vez, mientras atravesaba el desierto, se le aproximó una mujer pobre, pidiendo comida. Él le dio pan, diciendo: «Toma esto». Cuando alguien preguntó de dónde provenía ese pan, Jesús respondió que se trataba de la voluntad divina. No hay nada más grande que la voluntad divina. Todo es voluntad de Dios. El principal deber de un ser humano es percatarse de la voluntad de Dios, y someterse a esa divina voluntad. Hoy las personas están ciegas, por haber perdido los ojos de la fe. La fe es la base de toda la Creación. Por eso, ante todo desarrollen la fe. A quien tenga fe y amor, todo lo demás le será añadido. Muchas personas tienen fe, pero carecen de amor. La
fe desprovista de amor no sirve de nada. El amor y la fe deben estar juntos, como polos magnéticos que se atraen mutuamente.

Jesus underwent several trials and tribulations during His time. He became the Saviour and Messiah of the poor and forlorn, helping them in many ways. Once while crossing the desert, a poor woman approached Him begging for food. He gave her bread saying, “Take this.” When someone enquired where bread came from, Jesus replied that it was Divine will. There is nothing greater than Divine Will. Everything is God’s will. The foremost duty of a human being is to realise the will of God and submit himself to that Divine will. People today are blind, having lost both their eyes of faith. Faith is the basis for all creation. Hence first and foremost, develop faith. Where there is faith and love, everything else will be added unto such a person. Many people have faith, but lack love. Faith devoid of love has no use. Love and faith must be together like mutually attractive magnetic poles. [Divine Discourse, Dec 26, 2007]

El gobernador, un hombre de buen corazón, no quería que se dictara a Jesús una sentencia de muerte. Lamentaba que un hombre tan grande y noble fuera crucificado sin culpa alguna. Dijo a Jesús: «Eres un gran hombre. Esta gente con corazón de piedra está tratando de matarte sin razón». Jesús respondió: «¡Me alegra que al menos tú comprendas Mi grandeza!». Finalmente, antes de la crucifixión, Su madre, María, se aproximó a Él y comenzó a llorar. Jesús la consoló diciendo: «¿Madre, por qué lloras? El cuerpo es como una burbuja en el agua. Que hagan lo que quieran con este cuerpo. No pienses que tratan de matarme, ¡Yo no tengo muerte!». Entonces, María preguntó: «¿Acaso no eres mi hijo?». Jesús respondió: «Por supuesto, contigo estoy físicamente relacionado como hijo; pero
«Yo soy Yo» y nada más. Para Mí, todos ustedes son como hijos. Todos son encarnaciones de la Divinidad». Así, Jesús alcanzó el supremo nivel de la espiritualidad, habiendo superado todas las pruebas. Jesús no era simplemente una forma humana. Era verdaderamente la Encarnación del Uno Mismo Divino. (Discurso Divino, 26 de diciembre de 2007)

 

The kind-hearted Governor, did not want Jesus to be awarded a death sentence. He lamented that a great and noble man was being crucified for no fault of His. He told Jesus, “You are a great man. These stone-hearted people are trying to kill You without any reason.” Jesus replied, “I am happy that at least you understand My goodness!” Finally before crucifixion His mother, Mary, came near Him and started shedding tears. Jesus consoled her saying, “Why do you cry, mother? The body is like a water bubble. Let them do whatever they wish with this body. Don’t think they are trying to kill Me. I have no death!” Mary then asked, “Are You not my son?” Jesus replied, “Of course! I am related to you physically as a son – but, ‘I am I’ only. You are all like children to Me. All of you are embodiments of Divine.” Thus, Jesus attained the highest level of spirituality, having gone
through all tests. Jesus was not merely a human form. He was the Embodiment of Divine Self, verily. [Divine Discourse, Dec 26, 2007]

Jesús infundió en sus contemporáneos una gran fe. A uno de esos pescadores le puso el nombre de Pedro. Éste desarrolló intenso amor y fe hacia Jesús. A partir de entonces, todos los pescadores llevaban regularmente a Jesús en sus expediciones de pesca, y por la tarde, luego de regresar, Jesús acostumbraba a exponerles temas espirituales. Cuando falleció el padre de Pedro, su madre estaba sumamente apenada, pero Jesús la consoló diciendo: «La muerte no es más que una vestimenta de de la vida. ¿Por qué lloras? La muerte es como cambiarse la ropa. Entonces, no te lamentes más. Estos cuerpos físicos vienen y se van, así que no desperdicies tu pensamiento en estas cosas efímeras. El habitante interior (dehi), que vive dentro de este cuerpo, es la auténtica Divinidad. Nadie que tenga un cuerpo físico puede escapar a las
vicisitudes de la vida. Sin sufrimientos, nadie puede existir. La muerte sigue al nacimiento, y con la misma certeza, las penurias siguen a la felicidad.»

Jesus instilled great faith in people who lived during his lifetime. One of those fishermen was named by Jesus as Peter. He developed intense love and faith towards Jesus. From then on, all the fishermen regularly used to take Jesus out on their fishing expeditions and after their return in the evening, Jesus used to expound spiritual matters to them. When Peter’s father passed away, his mother was filled with sorrow, but Jesus consoled her by telling, “Death is but a dress of life. Wherefore do you shed tears? Death is like changing one’s dress. Therefore stop grieving. These physical bodies come and go, so do not waste your thought on these ephemeral things. The indweller (dehi) who lives inside this body is the true Divinity! Anyone with a physical body cannot escape vicissitudes of life. Without hardships no one can exist. Death follows birth and with the same certainty misery follows happiness!” [Divine

Comienza con esta primera lección del devocionario espiritual : no te jactes meramente de tener total dominio del Bhagavad Gita, habiéndolo leído 100 veces y aprendido de memoria todas las «slokas» con todos los comentarios que se han escrito hasta ahora sobre ellas. Entre todos los millones de personas a quienes se les enseñó el Gita , solamente Arjuna tuvo la «Vishwarupa Darshana», la visión de que este Universo es sólo una manifestación parcial de Su inmensurable gloria. ¿Por qué es que los grandes sabios no tuvieron tal experiencia ? La toma de conciencia de esa realidad sólo puede llegar al aspirante que la merezca. Arjuna había alcanzado el punto más alto de entrega cuando comenzó la enseñanza, y durante el proceso logró una insuperable «ekagrata» o concentración. No es para sorprenderse que fuese bendecido. A menos que
poseas el mismo grado de entrega, el mismo anhelo y la misma concentración ¿cómo puedes esperar el resultado que consiguió Arjuna ? (Divino Discurso – 16 Marzo 1966)

 

Start with this first lesson, from the spiritual primer: Do not merely boast that you have mastered the Bhagavad Gita, having read it a hundred times over, and learnt by rote all the slokas with all the commentaries so far written upon them. Among all the millions who were taught the Gita, Arjuna alone had the Vishwarupa Darshana, the vision that this Universe is but a partial manifestation of His immeasurable glory; why is it that the great pandits had no such experience? Realisation of that reality can come only to the aspirant who deserves it. Arjuna had reached the highest stage of surrender when the teaching started and during the process, he had unexcelled ekagrata or concentration. No wonder he was blessed. Unless you possess the same degree of surrender, the same yearning and the same concentration, how can you expect the result that Arjuna attained? (Divine Discourse, Mar 16, 1966)
