Tomen Mi propio ejemplo. Nunca me regocijo cuando soy exaltado ni me minimizo cuando me injurian. Pocos se han dado cuenta de Mi propósito y trascendencia, pero no me preocupo. Cuando cosas que no están en Mí se me atribuyen a Mí, ¿por qué debería preocuparme? Cuando se mencionan cosas que están en Mí, ¿por qué debería exaltarme? «Syeeki Sarvamu sí, sí, sí» (¡para Sai siempre es sí!). Si dices: «Sí, eres el Señor», sí, yo soy el Señor para ti, si dices «No», yo también repito lo mismo. Yo soy Anandam, Shantam, Dhairyam (Bienaventuranza, Paz y Coraje). Tómenme como su Atma tatwam (Realidad Átmica Interna); no se equivocarán Resuelvan a partir de este día ver solo lo bueno en los demás y desarrollar lo bueno en ustedes mismos. Ese es el mejor sadhana (esfuerzo
espiritual). Alimentar la ira y el odio en el corazón es como llevar una olla con muchos agujeros para traer agua. Descarten la ira, el odio, la envidia y la codicia; háganlo morando siempre en el Nombre que resume y significa la Gloria de Dios. (Discurso Divino, 30 de marzo de 1965).

 

Take My own instance. I never exult when I am extolled, nor shrink when I am reviled. Few have realised My purpose and significance, but I am not worried. When things that are not in Me are attributed to Me, why should I worry? When things that are in Me are mentioned, why should I exult? «Syeeki Sarvamu yes, yes, yes» (for Sai it is always yes!). If you say, «Yes, you are the Lord,» Yes, I am the Lord to you, if you say «No», I too echo the same. I am Anandam, Shantam, Dhairyam (Bliss, Peace and Courage). Take Me as your Atma tatwam (Inner Atmic Reality); you won’t be wrong. Resolve from this day to see only the good in others, and to develop the good in yourselves. That is the best sadhana (spiritual endeavour). Nurturing anger and hatred in the heart is like carrying a pot with many holes for bringing water. Discard anger, hate, envy and greed; do it by dwelling always on the Name that summarises and signifies the Glory of God. (Divine Discourse,

Tienen que abandonar su búsqueda de objetos sensoriales si buscan paz y alegría duraderas. La riqueza material trae consigo no solo alegría sino también dolor. La acumulación de riquezas y la multiplicación de deseos solo conducen a la alternancia entre la alegría y el dolor. El apego es la raíz de la alegría y la pena; el desapego es el salvador. El apego (ashakti) es muerte (maraka). El no apego (anashakti) es liberador (taraka). Un millonario paga impuestos sobre la renta con lágrimas en los ojos, mientras que un director cede alegremente los muebles y los aparatos de laboratorio de su escuela cuando es trasladado a otro lugar. ¿Por qué? El director sabe que él es solo el cuidador, no el propietario. Él no está apegado a estos artículos; sabe que pertenecen al gobierno. Por lo tanto, de igual forma, sientan que su familia, casa,
propiedad, automóvil, etc. son propiedad del Señor y ustedes solo son administradores; ¡desapéguense y prepárense para renunciar a ellos sin ningún murmullo, en cualquier momento! (Divino Discurso, 19 de agosto de 1964).

 

You have to give up your pursuit of sensory objects if you seek lasting peace and joy. Material wealth brings along with it not only joy but grief as well. Accumulation of riches and multiplication of wants only lead to alternation between joy and grief. Attachment is the root of both joy and grief; detachment is the saviour. Attachment (ashakti) is death (maraka). Non-attachment (anashakti) is liberating (taraka). A millionaire pays income tax with tears in his eyes, while a headmaster joyfully gives up the furniture and laboratory appliances of his school when he is transferred to some other place. Why? The headmaster knows that he is only the caretaker, not the owner. He is not attached to these articles; he knows that they belong to the government. So, too, feel that your family, house, property, car, etc. are all the Lord’s property and you are just a trustee; be unattached and be ready to give them up without any murmur, at a moment’s notice!

Los Vedas se llaman Sruti porque deben escucharse con atención. El escuchar (sravanam) implanta ideas: los inspira a hacer un balance de su estado, a notar sus deficiencias y fallas, e incluso sus excelencias y méritos. El oído tiene un gran potencial para corregir, reformar y guiar. Escuchen el Ramayana y el Mahabharata; ¡es una oportunidad preciosa de la que ahora muchos no se están beneficiando! Descubran por ustedes mismos la grandeza de Rama, Krishna, Meera y Radha. Reflexionen sobre sus vidas y los ejemplos que ellas ponen ante ustedes; corrijan sus hábitos, su punto de vista, su actitud hacia el mundo, hacia la sociedad y hacia ustedes mismos. Ese es el camino a la salvación. El oído llena la cabeza, la cabeza dirige el brazo y el brazo actúa. Entonces, escuchen cosas buenas, hagan cosas buenas y compartan cosas buenas. The Vedas are called Sruti because they must be heard with attention. Listening (sravanam) implants ideas: it inspires you to take stock of your condition, to note your deficiencies and failings, and even your excellences and merits. The ear has great potentiality to correct, reform and guide. Listen to the Ramayana and the Mahabharata; it is a precious chance that many are not benefitting from now! Discover for yourselves the greatness of Rama, Krishna, Meera and Radha. Dwell on their lives and the examples they place before you; correct your habits, your outlook, your attitude to the world, to society, and to yourself. That is the path to salvation. The ear fills the head, the head directs the arm, and the arm acts. So hear good things, do good things and share good things. That gives joy and contentment. (Divine Discourse, Mar 30, 1965)

Mucha gente dice que el mundo de hoy está afligido por la tristeza, las pérdidas y las dificultades. No suscribo este punto de vista, en realidad, ¡son solo nuestra ilusión! De hecho, no hay inquietud o dolor en este mundo. Solo veo paz en todas partes. Cuando haya paz en nuestro corazón, podremos presenciar la paz en derredor. La inquietud, el dolor, la ira, etc., son la reacción, la reflexión y la resonancia del estado de nuestro ser interior. Los dolores y las dificultades, la ira y la inquietud son nuestra propia creación. No son fenómenos naturales en el mundo. Es la falta de amor la responsable de todas las diferencias, discusiones y conflictos en el mundo, especialmente en los tiempos actuales. El amor es la cualidad más importante de un ser humano. Y la fe es la base de ese amor. En las letras de la palabra Amor (Love), la ‘L’ significa ‘Señor’ (Lord). Por lo tanto,
¡el Amor realmente se origina en el Señor! (Discurso divino, 26 de diciembre de 2007).

 

Many people say that the world today is afflicted with sorrow, losses and difficulties. I do not subscribe to this view – indeed, they are just our illusion! In fact, there is no unrest or sorrow in this world. I just see peace everywhere. When there is peace in our heart, we will be able to witness peace all round. Unrest, sorrow, anger, and so on, are the reaction, reflection and resound of the state of our inner being. Sorrows and difficulties, anger and unrest are of our own creation. They are not natural phenomena in the world. It is lack of love that is responsible for all the differences, arguments and conflicts in the world, especially in the present times. Love is the foremost quality of a human being. And faith is the basis for that love. In the spelling of the word Love, ‘L’ stands for ‘Lord’. Thus, Love truly originates from the Lord!
