Dios no está lejos de ustedes. Él está dentro de ustedes, en su propio altar interior. Todos ustedes sufren porque no pueden descubrirlo allí, y extraer paz y alegría de ese descubrimiento. Un lavandero que estaba parado con el agua hasta las rodillas lavando su ropa en un río que fluía, murió de sed porque no se dio cuenta de que el agua salvadora estaba a su alcance. Tal es la historia del hombre. Corre con prisa desesperada buscando a Dios afuera y muere decepcionado y afligido, solo para nacer de nuevo. Por supuesto, ustedes deben estar en el mundo pero recuerden: no necesitan ser de él. La atención tiene que estar fija en el Dios interior. En el campo Kannada, hay un festival llamado Karaga. La figura central de este rito sagrado lleva muchas vasijas en su cabeza, una sobre la otra, y se mueve en la procesión manteniendo el paso al ritmo de la música.
También tiene que cantar en sintonía con el resto y mantener el tiempo al compás del tambor. Pero todo el tiempo, él tiene su atención fija en mantener el equilibrio de la precaria torre sobre su cabeza. De igual modo, ustedes deben mantener la meta de la realización de Dios delante de ustedes, mientras participan en la ruidosa e hilarante procesión de la vida. God is not far from you. He is within you, in your own inner altar. All of you suffer because you are unable to discover Him there and draw peace and joy from that discovery. A washerman, standing knee-deep in a flowing river and washing his clothes therein, died of thirst because he failed to realise that the life-giving water was within his reach. Such is the story of man. He runs in desperate haste, to seek God outside and dies disappointed and distraught, only to be born again. Of course, you must be in the world, but remember, you need not be of it. The attention has to be fixed on the God within. In the Kannada country, there is a festival called Karaga. The central figure of this holy rite keeps many pots on his head, one over the other, and moves in the procession keeping step with the music; he has also to sing in tune with the rest and keep time to the beat of the drum. But, all the while he has his attention fixed on balancing the
precarious tower on his head. So too, you must keep the goal of God-realisation before you, while engaged in the noisy and hilarious procession of life. (Divine Discourse, Jan 1, 1967)

Los sentimientos de odio, malicia, envidia y orgullo que crean la separación entre las personas que son familiares y amigos, surgen de la identificación con el cuerpo. Ustedes sienten y creen que son el cuerpo. Saben que su cuerpo está separado de los otros cuerpos. Piensan en su hambre, su sed, su comodidad, su familia, su comunidad, su estado; de esta forma, crean límites para su amor, y se refrenan a sí mismos, tratando a todos los que están fuera de esos límites como enemigos, extraños y competidores. Pero la fuente y el sustento son uno: Dios, el Padre de la humanidad. Presten atención a la Paternidad más que a la hermandad. Eso subrayará a la hermandad cada vez más en su corazón y eliminará el veneno de las diferencias que ha surgido a raíz de la ignorancia. Todos ustedes son miembros de un solo cuerpo, alimentados por la misma vida:
¡la sangre fluye en ustedes motivada por la misma voluntad, la voluntad de Dios, y todos están sujetos a la misma Ley Divina! Ese es la Vishwarupa (Visión Cósmica) que uno debe ver y experimentar. Eso lo dota a uno de dicha eterna. (Discurso Divino del 20 de Diciembre de 1967)

 

Feelings of hatred, malice, envy and pride that create separation between people who are kith and kin, arise from identification with the body. You feel and believe you are the body. You know your body is separate from the other bodies. You think of your hunger, your thirst, your comfort, your family, your community, your state – thus you create bounds for your love, and curb yourselves, treating all outside the bounds as enemies, strangers and competitors. But the source and sustenance is one: God, the Father of mankind. Pay attention to the Fatherhood, more than the brotherhood. That will underline the brotherhood more and more in your heart and remove the poison of distinction that has come through ignorance. All of you are limbs of one body, nourished by the self-same life – blood flows in you motivated by the same will, the will of God, and all are bound by the same Divine Law! That is the Vishwarupa (Cosmic Vision) that one must see and
experience. That endows one with everlasting bliss.(Divine Discourse, Dec 20, 1967)

El Señor valora tu actitud detrás de cada acción. Yad bhavam, tad bhavati- te conviertes en lo que sientes. En consecuencia, transmuten cada acto en adoración y deriven el máximo de alegría. Sai está en cada ser; Entonces no menosprecien a nadie. Reverencien y sirvan todo con el máximo de su capacidad. Cuando alguien les pida agua para saciar su sed y le ofrezcan un vaso, sientan que Me la están ofreciendo a Mí; Entonces ese acto los purifica y limpia. No es una persona necesitada a quien están sirviendo, están sirviendo a Dios que está en ustedes y ellos. Karma (acción) es la flor y Jnana (sabiduría) es el fruto. La flor se convierte en fruto con el tiempo cuando la mantienen libre de plagas. El carbón es madera que fue quemada atravesando un bautismo de fuego. Con el tiempo el carbón se vuelve blanco, cenizas livianas y vuela con
el viento. Purifiquen su mente rigurosamente en el fuego de la sabiduría hasta que obtengan el éxito.

The Lord values your attitude behind every action. Yad bhavam, tad bhavati – you become what you feel. Hence transmute every act into worship and derive maximum joy. Sai is in every being; so do not slight anyone. Revere and serve all to the best of your ability. When someone asks for water to quench their thirst and you offer them a cup, feel that you are offering it to Me; then, that act purifies and cleanses you. It is not the person in need that you serve, you are serving God who is in you and them. Karma (action) is the flower and Jnana (wisdom) is the fruit. The flower becomes fruit in fullness of time when you guard it free from pests. Charcoal is wood that was burnt under the baptism of fire. With time, charcoal transforms to white, light ash that flies in the wind. Rigorously purify your mind in the fire of wisdom until you gain success. (Divine Discourse, Nov 22, 1967)
