Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

OM SRI SAI RAM

El amor concentrado en uno mismo es como la lamparita que ilumina solo una habitación, sin dejar salir luz fuera de las cuatro paredes. Está confinada a los sentidos y nunca se abre a otros, quienes son sus parientes y amigos en Dios. Hay otro tipo de amor, más grande y profundo, que se expande a los miembros de la propia familia. Es como la luz de la luna, no suficientemente fuerte para aclarar las cosas, pero lo bastante para mantenerlos ocupados. También sufre alzas y bajas, crecimiento y pérdidas. Sin embargo el tipo de amor más deseable es como la luz del sol- siempre ocupado en iluminar sin distinción. Este amor hará que uno siempre actúe en el espíritu de la dedicación al Señor. The love that is concentrated on oneself is as a bulb that illuminates the room alone, without shedding light outside the four walls. It is confined to the senses and never opens out to others, who are your kith and kin in God. There is another type of love, larger and deeper, which expands into the members of one’s family. It is like moonlight, not strong enough to make things clear, but enough to move about in. It also undergoes rise and fall, increase and decrease. But the most desirable type of love is like the sunlight – ever engaged in purifying, activating, and illumining without any distinction. This love will make one act ever in the spirit of dedication to the Lord. Then all the acts would be elevating and holy. (Divine Discourse, Dec 17, 1964)

Sean buenos, sean serviciales, sean útiles, amables, temerosos de Dios – entonces la confianza de la gente será suya. La fe es el verdadero aliento de la victoria- fe en uno mismo, en el buen trabajo que uno ha emprendido, y fe en su éxito a pesar de signos de fracaso. El apego y el odio son los más grandes enemigos del progreso en cualquier trabajo. ¡Si alguien se engaña al creer que está salvando a otros, entonces pobre de él, ya que no hay ningún ‘otro’! ¡La falla fundamental aquí es la ignorancia! Sí simplemente son sabios, sabrán que todos los individuos son olas en la superficie del mismo océano. Todos son Uno, lastimar la mano es dolor para todo el cuerpo. ¡En consecuencia, la acción desinteresada es el ideal a ser practicado!¡ Realicen cada acción sin deseos egoístas ( Nishkama Karma)! Desear ganancia es como el

Be good, be serviceable, be useful, be kind, be God-fearing — then the confidence of the people will be yours. Faith is the very breath of victory — faith in oneself, faith in the good work one has set upon, and faith in its success despite signs of failure. Attachment and hatred are the greatest enemies of progress in any work. If someone is deluded into believing that they are saving others, then woe be to them, for there is no ‘other’ at all! The fundamental flaw here is ignorance! If only you are wise, you will know that all individuals are waves on the surface of the self-same ocean. All are One, injury to the hand is pain to the whole body. Hence, selfless action is the ideal to be practised! Perform all actions without selfish desire (Nishkama Karma)! Desire for gain is like the poison fangs; when they are pulled out, the snake of karma is rendered harmless. (Divine Discourse, Sep 15, 1963)

El desapego (vairagyam) es el primer signo de una vida espiritual. Sin ello son unos iletrados en espiritualidad. Es el ‘ABC’ del esfuerzo espiritual. El desapego debe volverse lo suficientemente fuerte en ustedes, como para que descarten las ataduras de los sentidos. Unos minutos de reflexión los ayudarán a ver la vacuidad de las riquezas, fama y felicidad terrenales. Cuando suman más y más cantidades de dinero a su cuenta de banco, consideren si están acumulando problemas para ustedes y sus hijos, o no, haciendo más complicado para ellos llevar vidas limpias, cómodas y honorables. Cuando luchan por alcanzar la insignificante fama mediante subterfugios, recuerden quienes, de entre los de compatriotas, son honrados hoy día y por qué. ¿No ven que los que son honrados en todas partes son quienes abandonaron, renunciaron y buscaron el camino más difícil de la

Detachment (vairagyam) is the first sign of a spiritual life. Without it you are an illiterate in spirituality. It’s the ‘ABC’ of spiritual effort. Detachment must become strong enough for you to discard the bondage of the senses. A few minutes of thought will help you see the hollowness of earthly riches, fame, and happiness. When you are adding more and more sums of money to your bank account, consider whether or not you are accumulating troubles for yourselves and your children, making it harder for your children to lead clean, comfortable, and honourable lives. When you struggle to achieve paltry fame by devious means, remember who among crores of your countrymen are honoured today and for what. Don’t you see that only those are honoured everywhere who gave up, renounced, and sought the more difficult road of God-realisation instead of the easier path of world-realisation? Primero practiquen la actitud: «Yo soy tuyo». Permitan que la ola descubra y sea consciente de que pertenece al océano. Este paso no es fácil, la ola toma mucho tiempo en reconocer que el vasto mar debajo e el que le da la existencia. Ya que, el ego es tan poderoso que no permite ser humilde e inclinarse ante el mar. El segundo paso es: «Yo soy tuyo; Tú eres Mi Amo. Yo soy Tu sirviente.» Esta actitud mental domará al ego, y hará valiosa cada actividad. El siguiente paso es: » Tú eres mío»» Aquí la ola demanda el respaldo del mar como su derecho. El Señor tiene que tomar la responsabilidad de cuidar y guiar al individuo. Surdas dijo:» Tú eres mío. No te dejaré; Yo te aprisionaré en mi corazón. Tu no escaparás». El siguiente escalón es: «Tú eres Yo; Yo soy solo la imagen, y Tú eres la Realidad. No tengo individualidad separada;

First practise the attitude: “I am Yours.” Let the wave discover and acknowledge that it belongs to the sea. This step is not easy; the wave takes a long time to recognise the vast sea beneath that gives it its existence. For, the ego is so powerful that it does not permit it to be humble and bend before the sea. The second step is: “I am Yours; You are My Master. I am Your servant.” This mental attitude will tame the ego, and make every activity worthwhile. The next step is: “You are mine.” Here the wave demands the support of the sea as its right. The Lord has to take the responsibility of guarding and guiding the individual. Surdas said, “You are mine. I will not leave You; I shall imprison You in my heart. You shall not escape.” The next stage is: “You are I; I am but the image, and You are the Reality. I have no separate individuality; there is no duality.”
