Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

Krishna demostró que si ustedes practican el sadhana de la constante presencia de Dios, con toda seguridad lograrán la victoria. Tomen al señor como su auriga; Él los conducirá a través de los peores riesgos. Él no tiene favoritos ni rivales. Como el fuego, irradia calor a todos los que están cerca de Él. Si ustedes no sienten el calor, no Lo culpen: cúlpense a sí mismos por estar lejos de Él. Miren a Bhisma; él rogó al mismo Krishna que había jurado matarlo, que le otorgara la visión de Su divino esplendor. Esto es auténtica devoción, verdadero jnana o sabiduría. Krishna respondió a su plegaria, y lo bendijo. Hiranyakashipu dijo: «Él no está en ninguna parte», y en consecuencia, para él, Dios no estuvo en ninguna parte. Prahlada afirmó: «Él está en todas
partes», y el Señor apareció desde la columna, poniendo en evidencia el valor de Prahlada. ¡Dios no tuvo que correr para hallar la columna y luego salir de ella! Estuvo allí todo el tiempo; solo se hizo visible. (Divino Discurso, 23 de noviembre de 1964)

 

Krishna demonstrated that if you practice the sadhana of the constant presence of God, you are bound to achieve victory. Take the Lord as your charioteer; He will steer you through the heaviest odds. He has no favourites or rivals. Like fire, He spreads warmth to all who are near Him. If you do not feel the warmth, do not blame Him: blame yourself that you are far from Him. Look at Bhishma; he prayed to the very Krishna who had vowed to kill him to grant him a vision of His divine splendour! That is true devotion, real jnana or wisdom! Krishna responded to his prayer and blessed him. Hiranyakashipu said, ‘He is nowhere’ and so, God was nowhere for him; Prahlada asserted ‘He is everywhere,’ and Lord appeared from the pillar and proved his mettle! God did not have to run, find the pillar and come out of it! He was there all along, just made Himself visible! (Divine Discourse, Nov 23, 1964)

Ahora, todos buscan la comodidad y el placer; este es el objetivo supremo de todos los esfuerzos. Si dicen a una persona que puede comer todo lo que quiera y cuanto quiera, se sentirá encantada; pero si añaden que, como consecuencia, podría padecer esta o aquella enfermedad, los tratará como a enemigos. El control y el régimen nunca son populares. Sin embargo, la fuerza se deriva solo del control, la restricción y la regulación. Ustedes llegan a ser vigorosos y resistentes solo si dan la bienvenida a las dificultades. Luchen, y obtendrán la fuerza para triunfar. Busquen la base de lo visible, en lo invisible. El elevado rascacielos tiene una profunda base que se hunde en la tierra. Este mundo visible tiene como base a la invisible Divinidad (Paramatma); el cuerpo de ustedes no es más que el vehículo mediante el cual pueden buscar, investigar y descubrir esa base. Everyone is now seeking comfort and pleasure; that is the be-all and end-all of all efforts. If you tell a person that he can eat whatever he likes and as much as he likes, he will be delighted; but if you add that, as a consequence, he might develop some illness or other, he will treat you as an enemy. Control or regimen is never popular. But strength is derived only from control, restraint, and regulation. You become tough and capable of endurance only if you welcome hardships. Struggle, and you get the strength to succeed. Seek the basis for the seen, in the unseen. The tall skyscraper has a deep base reaching into the earth. This seen world has, as its base, the unseen Divine (Paramatma); your body is but the vehicle through which you can search, investigate, and discover that base! (Divine Discourse, Nov 23, 1964)

Comprométanse, ahora, con la práctica espiritual, los pensamientos espirituales y las compañías espirituales. Olviden el pasado. Por lo menos, de ahora en adelante, busquen salvarse. Nunca cedan a la duda o a la vacilación; eso es una señal de ignorancia. Tengan fe en cualquier Nombre y en la Forma indicada por ese Nombre. Si ustedes reverencian a Shiva y odian a Vishnu, el más y el menos se cancelan y el resultado neto es cero. No toleraré el más mínimo odio hacia ningún Nombre o Forma. La esposa tiene que reverenciar a su esposo, pero esto no significa que ella tiene que odiar a los padres, hermanos o hermanas de él. Nunca podrán alcanzar al Señor a través del odio hacia una o más de Sus muchas Formas y Nombres. Si ustedes desprecian al Dios que otro reverencia, ese desprecio recae sobre su propio Dios. Eviten las facciones, las disputas,
el odio, el menosprecio y la búsqueda de faltas; se vuelven contra ustedes. Recuerden: cada uno es un peregrino hacia la misma meta; algunos viajan por un camino, otros por otro. Discurso Divino del 10 de octubre de 1964.

 

Now, engage yourself in spiritual discipline, spiritual thoughts and spiritual company. Forget the past. At least from now on, seek to save yourself. Never yield to doubt or unsteadiness. That is a sign of ignorance. Have faith in any one name and the form indicated by that name. If you revere Shiva and hate Vishnu, the plus and the minus cancel out and the net result is zero. I will not tolerate the slightest hatred of any Name or Form. The wife has to revere the husband, but that does not mean that she has to hate his parents, brothers or sisters. You can never attain the Lord through hatred of one or more of His many Forms and Names. If you throw contempt at the God that another reveres, the contempt falls on your own God. Avoid factions, quarrelling, hating, scorning and fault-finding; they recoil on you. Remember, everyone is a pilgrim towards the same goal; some travel by one road, some by another. El águila es molestada por los cuervos mientras tiene un pez en su pico. Se agitan a su alrededor para poder robarle el pescado de su boca, persiguiendo al pájaro dondequiera que se siente para descansar un poco. Finalmente, cuando el águila abandona el apego al pez y lo deja caer de su pico, los cuervos se alejan dejando en paz al águila. Del mismo modo, abandonen los placeres de los sentidos y los cuervos del orgullo, envidia, maldad y odio se alejarán volando, ya que ellos solo quieren carroña. La serpiente se mueve en forma ondulante y no en línea recta. Los individuos también se mueven por un camino sinuoso cuando siguen a los sentidos. Practiquen el renunciamiento de ahora en adelante para que puedan emprender el viaje cuando llegue la llamada, que no saben cuándo será. Si no, en ese momento, llorarán cuando piensen en la casa que han construido, las propiedades que han
acumulado, la fama que han adquirido y las baratijas que han ganado. Discurso Divino del 10 de octubre de 1964.

 

The eagle is pestered by crows so long as it has a fish in its beak. They swish past that so they could steal the fish out of its mouth, pursuing the bird wherever it sits for a little rest. Finally when the eagle gives up the attachment to the fish and drops it from its beak, the crows fly away, leaving the eagle free. So leave off sense pleasures and the crows of pride, envy, malice, and hatred will fly away, for they want only carrion. The snake moves in curves and not in a straight line. Individuals too move in a crooked path when they follow the senses. Practise renunciation from now on so that you may set out on the journey when the call comes; you don’t know when. Else at that moment, you will be in tears, when you think of the house you have built, the property you have accumulated, the fame you have amassed, and the trifles you have won.
