Más cosas, más obstáculos, más desventajas. La acumulación de sillones, sillas, camas, mesas, y suvenires desordenan la sala y propician que los movimientos sean lentos y riesgosos. Reduzcan los deseos y vivan simplemente, esa es la llave para la felicidad. ¡El apego trae tristeza en su despertar! ¡Cuando la muerte reclame que todo sea dejado atrás y toda persona sea abandonada, ustedes estarán abrumados por la pena! Sean como el loto sobre el agua, sobre ella, no en ella. El agua es necesaria para que el loto crezca, pero no permitirá que ni una sola gota lo moje. El mundo objetivo es la arena de la virtud y el gimnasio para el espíritu. Úsenlo para ese propósito solamente; ¡no lo eleven a un estatus más alto! Practiquen un Sadhana simple del Namasmarana ( Recordación de Dios), junto con la reverencia a sus padres, mayores y maestros, y
sirvan a los enfermos y pobres. Vean a cada uno como Ishtadevata (elegido de Dios). Eso llenará su corazón de amor y les dará estabilidad de mente y paz. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Divino Discurso del 15 de mayo de 1969.

 

More things, more hurdles, more handicaps. Accumulation of sofas, chairs, cots, tables, and curios clutter the hall and render movements slow and risky. Reduce wants and live simple, that is the key to happiness. Attachment brings sorrow in its wake! When death demands that everything be left behind and everybody be deserted, you are overpowered with grief! Be like the lotus on water; on it, not in it. Water is necessary for the lotus to grow, but it will not allow even a drop to wet it. The objective world is the arena of virtue and the gymnasium for the spirit. Use it for that purpose only; do not raise it to a higher status! Take up the simple Sadhana of Namasmarana (Remembering God), along with reverence towards parents, elders and teachers, and service to the sick and poor. A pesar de no ver las raíces o saber cuán lejos, anchas o profundas se incrustan en la tierra, riegan con agua alrededor del tronco para que pueda llegar a las raíces, ¿no es así? Esperan que cuando las raíces hagan contacto con el agua, el árbol crecerá y cosecharán los frutos . Similarmente , comprendan que hay Dios, la verdadera base de la creación; órenle a ÉL, y Él derramará los frutos. Los medios primordiales por los que ustedes desapegan su mente de las distracciones y se atan en la búsqueda de Dios son la comunión con Dios (Yoga) y el sacrificio (Tyaga). El deseo ( Kama) debe ser conquistado por Tyaga y Rama (Dios) debe ser asegurado por el Yoga. EL deseo decolora la inteligencia, pervierte el juicio y agudiza los apetitos de los sentidos. Presta un atractivo falso hacia el mundo objetivo. Cuando el deseo desaparece o está
concentrado en Dios, la inteligencia es auto- luminosa, brilla en su prístino esplendor, revelando a Dios dentro y en todas partes. ¡Esa es verdadera Auto Realización (Atma Sakshatkara)! Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Divino Discurso del 15 de mayo de 1969.

 

Though you do not see the roots or know how far, wide or deep they are clutching the earth, you pour water around the trunk so that it may reach the roots, is it not? You expect that when roots contact the water, the tree will grow and yield fruit. Similarly, understand that there is God, the very basis of creation; pray to Him, and He will shower fruits. The chief means by which you detach your mind from distractions and attach yourselves to the search of God are communion with God (Yoga) and sacrifice (Tyaga). Desire (Kama) must be conquered by Tyaga and Rama (God) must be secured by Yoga. Desire discolours intelligence, perverts judgement and sharpens the appetites of the senses. It lends a false lure to the objective world. When desire disappears or is concentrated on God, intelligence is self-luminous, it shines in its pristine splendour, revealing God within and everywhere. Es posible que hayan presenciado los festivales de carrozas (Rathotsavam) en los centros de peregrinaje. Las carrozas de los templos enormes están decoradas generosamente con banderines y festones, hileras de hombres fieles las cargan por las calles acompañadas de la música de gaitas y conchas, precedidos por grupos de bailarines y cantantes que suman júbilo a la ocasión. Miles se arremolinan alrededor de la carroza sagrada. La atención es llevada naturalmente hacia el entretenimiento, pero la gente se siente más feliz, solo cuando juntan sus manos y se inclinan ante el ídolo de la carroza. Todo lo demás es subsidiario, incluso irrelevante. Así también en el proceso de la vida, el cuerpo es la carroza, y el Alma es el ídolo instalado en ella. Ganar y gastar, reír y llorar, lastimarse y sanarse, y la variedad de acrobacias en la vida cotidiana son

You may have witnessed chariot festivals (Rathotsavam) in pilgrimage centers. Huge temple chariots are gorgeously decorated with flags and festoons, stalwart bands of men draw them along the roads to the music of blowpipes and conches, and dancing groups and chanters precede it, adding to the exhilaration of the occasion. Thousands crowd around the holy chariot. Their attention is naturally drawn towards the entertainment, but they feel happiest only when they fold their palms and bow before the Idol in the chariot. The rest is all subsidiary, even irrelevant. So too in the process of life, body is the chariot, and the Atma is the Idol installed therein. Earning and spending, laughing and weeping, hurting and healing, and the various acrobatics in daily living are but subsidiary to the adoration of God and the union with the Lord. La cultura yace en ver la unidad en la diversidad, con la fe arraigada en la unidad de la vida. Alimenten su fe en la casta de la humanidad y la cultura del amor. Aquí, el amor no se refiere a el afecto corporal que marca la relación entre esposa y marido, entre hijos y padres, o entre amigos. El hijo, a pesar de que amaba a su madre de todo corazón, arroja su cuerpo a la pira ardiente y la envía a las llamas sin misericordia luego de su muerte. ¿Cómo puede un amor así ser llamado verdadero amor? ¡Tal tipo de relación puede , en el mejor de los casos, ser denominada ‘apego’! Los apegos, como nubes pasajeras que se alejan, se aproximan y transcurren por el medio. Pero el Amor existía incluso antes del nacimiento y durará después de la muerte. No hay amor entre esposo y esposa antes el casamiento o entre la madre y el niño antes de que haya nacido. Solo el Amor

Culture lies in seeing unity in diversity, with a deep-seated faith in the unity of life. Nourish your faith in the caste of humanity and the culture of love. Here love does not refer to the bodily affection that marks the relationship between a wife and husband, between children and parents, or between friends. The son, though he loved his mother with all his heart, flings her body onto the burning pyre and consigns her to flames without any mercy after her death. How can such love be called true Love? All such relationships can at best be termed ‘attachment’! Attachments, like passing clouds that sail away, come in the middle and pass off in the middle. But Love existed even before birth and will last after death. There is no love between husband and wife before their wedding or between the mother and the child before the child was born.
