Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

La Encarnación es para promover la rectitud (Dharma), para demarcarla y dirigirla, y para demostrar a la humanidad el auténtico camino, el de la actividad sin deseos. El médico, como primera medida, diagnostica la enfermedad. Después prescribe el tratamiento. De la misma manera, ustedes deben someterse al diagnóstico de su enfermedad, es decir, las penurias, dificultades y dolores. Investiguen sin temor y con cuidado, y hallarán que si bien la verdadera naturaleza de ustedes es la bienaventuranza, se han identificado falsamente con lo temporario, lo frívolo y lo miserable, y que este apego les ha acarreado toda la tristeza. Deben darse cuenta de que tanto la alegría como la pena son fases pasajeras, como nubes blancas y oscuras sobre un cielo azul, y tienen que aprender a tratar con ecuanimidad tanto a la prosperidad como a la adversidad. Con solo utilizar bien el tiempo, el ignorante (pamara)
puede convertirse en un asceta del orden más elevado (Paramahamsa), y este asceta puede llegar a ser uno con el Señor, el substrato y substancia universales (Paramatma). (Divino Discurso, 23 de noviembre de 1961)

 

Incarnation is for the sake of fostering righteousness (dharma), for demarcating and directing it, and to show mankind the true path of desireless activity. The doctor first diagnoses the disease. Then he prescribes the course of treatment. So too, you must submit yourself to the diagnosis of your illness, viz. misery, travail, and pain. Investigate fearlessly and with care, and you will find that while your basic nature is bliss, you have falsely identified yourself with the temporary, the frivolous, the paltry, and that attachment has brought you all the sorrow. You must realise that both joy and sorrow are passing phases, like white or dark clouds across the blue sky, and you have to learn to treat both prosperity and adversity with equanimity. If only time is well spent, the ignorant (pamara) can become an ascetic of the highest order (Paramahamsa) and that ascetic can also become one with the Lord, the Universal Substance and Substratum

El Sadhana espiritual que ustedes llevan a cabo puede ser comparado con el proceso de convertir la leche en manteca. El cuerpo humano es su hogar. El corazón es el recipiente en que la leche de la conciencia es hervida sobre la cocina de la devoción. La tapa del recipiente es el empeño (Shraddha). Cuando el fuego del discernimiento (Viveka) es encendido, la crema de la comprensión sube a la superficie de la leche hirviente. Para evitar que el gato de Maya se robe la leche, la puerta debe ser bloqueada con la barrera de la sabiduría (Sujnana). Cuando la leche se enfría gracias a la tranquilidad (Shanti), y se le añade el suero de leche del nombre divino, se obtiene la cuajada de la gracia divina. Cuando esta cuajada es batida mediante la vara del conocimiento y la cuerda del amor, el suero de manteca de la ignorancia resulta separado, y emerge la manteca de la Realidad Átmica. Un alma que
así haya tomado conciencia de sí misma, definitivamente alcanzará la unidad con la Divinidad. (Divino Discurso, 23 de febrero de 1990)

 

The spiritual Sadhana you perform may be compared to the process of conversion of milk into butter. Your human body is your home. Your heart is the vessel in which the milk of consciousness is boiled on the stove of devotion. The lid for this vessel is earnestness (Shraddha). When the fire of discrimination (Viveka) is lit, the cream of understanding rises upward from the boiling milk. To prevent the cat of maya from stealing the milk, the door has to be barred by the gate of wisdom (Sujnana). After the milk is cooled by tranquility (Shanti) and the buttermilk of the divine name is added to it, the curd of divine grace results. When this curd is churned with the rod of knowledge and the rope of love, the whey of ignorance is separated and the butter of the Atmic Reality emerges. Such a realised soul definitely attains oneness with the Divine. (Divine Discourse, Feb 23, 1990)

Para enfrentar las vicisitudes de la vida, ustedes deben estar preparados con firme fe en Dios. Es durante los tiempos de dificultades que se recuerda a Dios. Enfrentar con fe las dificultades es en sí mismo una disciplina espiritual. Aunque Rama era hijo del emperador Dasaratha y yerno del rey Janaka, en la vida tuvo que atravesar muchas pruebas por defender el Dharma. Los Pandavas pasaron por muchas dificultades por adherir a la rectitud, gracias a lo cual su nombre y fama perduran por siempre. Deben rogar al Señor que les dé la fuerza necesaria para soportar todos los problemas y enfrentar todas las dificultades. Si tienen aunque sea un átomo de la gracia del Señor, pueden sobreponerse a una montaña de problemas. Chaitanya declaró: «Si una fracción del tiempo dedicado a riquezas, provisiones, esposa, hijos, amigos y negocios se dedica a la contemplación en los pies de la
Divinidad, uno puede enfrentar sin miedo a los mensajeros de la muerte, y atravesar el océano de Samsara (la existencia mundana)». Divino Discurso, 14 de abril de 1989)

 

You should be prepared to face the vicissitudes of life with firm faith in God. It is during times of difficulties that God is remembered. To confront difficulties with faith is itself a spiritual discipline. Although Rama was the son of the Emperor Dasaratha and son-in-law of King Janaka, he had to face many ordeals in life for the sake of upholding Dharma. The Pandavas went through many difficulties for the sake of adhering to righteousness and hence their name and fame remain forever. You should pray to the Lord to give you the strength to bear all troubles and face all difficulties. If you have even an atom of grace of the Lord, a mountain of troubles can be overcome. Chaitanya declared: «If a fraction of the time that is spent in worrying about wealth, provisions, wife, children, friends and business is devoted to contemplation on the feet of the Divine, one can face the messengers of death without fear and cross the Ocean of Samsara (worldly
existence)!» (Divine Discourse, Apr 14, 1989)
