OM SRI SAI RAM

El oro con que se fabricó una ajorca para el tobillo puede convertirse en el oro de la corona para la cabeza de una deidad en el templo; pero antes tiene que ser fundido en el crisol y martillado hasta darle forma. Todos ustedes han oído que Krishna es Murali-Madhava (el Dios con la flauta). ¿Y qué es exactamente la flauta? Ustedes deben ser la flauta. Que el aliento de Krishna pase a través de ustedes, creando una deliciosa música que derrita los corazones. Entréguense a Él; háganse huecos, sin inclinaciones, sin ego ni deseos. Entonces, Él mismo vendrá y los tomará con cariño, los colocará a ustedes —la flauta— en sus labios, y soplará su dulce aliento a través de ustedes. Permítanle que toque la tonada que Él guste. Tengan la mente siempre puesta en Krishna. Santifiquen cada palabra y cada acción
llenándolas de amor a Krishna, o al nombre y la forma del Señor a quien aman. (Divino Discurso, 6 de septiembre de 1963)

 

The gold from which an anklet was made can become the gold for a crown on the head of a deity in the temple, but it has to be melted in the crucible and beaten into shape. All of you have heard that Krishna is Murali-Madhava (the God with the flute). And what exactly is the flute? You must be the flute. Let the breath of Krishna pass through you, making delightful music that melts hearts. Surrender yourself to Him; become hollow, inclination-less, egoless and desireless. Then, He Himself will come and pick you up caressingly and place you, the flute, to His lips and blow His sweet breath through you. Allow Him to play whatever song He likes. Let your mind dwell ever on Krishna. Sanctify every word and deed by filling it with love of Krishna or whatever name and form you give to the Lord you love. (Divine Discourse, Sep 06, 1963)

Ustedes deben ser humildes, pero fuertes para resistir la tentación. No cedan como cobardes ante las arteras insinuaciones de los sentidos. El tiempo que pasan en la escuela tiene que ser utilizado no solo para reunir información y adquirir ciertas habilidades, que les darán una ganancia con que vivir; también debe ser utilizado para adquirir el arte de permanecer satisfechos y calmos, circunspectos y valientes. En la escuela deben además cultivar una ardiente sed por conocer la verdad del mundo y de ustedes mismos. Sus palabras deben ser como la miel, su corazón debe ser blando como la manteca, su actitud debe ser como la lámpara, que ilumina en lugar de confundir. Sean como el árbitro en la cancha de fútbol, que observa el partido, evaluando el juego de acuerdo a las reglas establecidas, sin ser afectado por el éxito ni la derrota de uno u otro equipo. You must be humble, but yet strong to resist temptation. Do not yield like cowards to the sly insinuations of the senses. Your time in school has to be used not only in the task of collecting information and earning certain skills that will give you an income on which you can live; it must also be used to acquire the art of being content and calm, collected and courageous. You must also cultivate at school an ardent thirst for knowing the truth of the world and of your own self. Your words must be like honey, your hearts must be as soft as butter, your outlook must be like the lamp, illumining and not confusing. Be like the umpire on the football field, watching the game, judging the play according to the rules laid down, unaffected by success or reverse of this team or that. Cuando Krishna bailó sobre la cabeza de la serpiente Kaliya, todo el veneno fue vomitado y la serpiente fue dominada. De paso, podría agregar que ustedes deben hacer que su corazón sea suave y blando como la capucha de la serpiente. Cuando Dios es venerado, retroceden el mundo y todas sus venenosas emanaciones, y en ustedes se restaura la salud original. Hagan bailar, sobre la capucha de su corazón, al nombre y la forma de su Señor elegido. Krishna no tenía apego a los objetos de los sentidos (vishayavasana), de modo que pudo zambullirse en el estanque, saltar sobre la capucha de la serpiente Kaliya, pisotearla y exprimir el veneno. Si ustedes están hundidos en el fango, ¿cómo podrían sacar de allí a otro que haya caído dentro? No se dejen atrapar. Sálvense, con solo llamar a Dios, que está libre de los objetos de los sentidos y se encuentra en la orilla.
Sujeten su mano; él los arrastrará hacia la seguridad y los sostendrá sobre terreno firme. (Divino Discurso, 6 de septiembre de 1963)

 

When Krishna danced on the head of snake Kaliya, all the poison was vomited and the serpent was subdued. Incidentally I might add, you should make your hearts as smooth and soft as the hood of the snake. When God is revered, the world and all its poisonous fumes recede and you are restored to original health. Make the name and form of your chosen Lord dance upon the hood of your heart. Krishna had no attachment to sense objects (vishayavasana), so He could plunge into the pool, jump onto the hood of snake Kaliya, trample on it and squeeze the poison out. When you are deep in the mire, how can you pull out another who has fallen into it? Do not get caught. Save yourself only by calling on God, who is free from sense objects and is on the bank. Hold His hand, and He will pull you safe and keep you steady on the hard ground. (Divine Discourse, Sep 06, 1963)
