Ustedes nacen en este vasto universo. Viven en este ancho mundo. En consecuencia, deben tener sentimientos amplios. El ser humano, viviendo en este vasto mundo, no debe tener sentimientos mezquinos. Es erróneo buscar defectos en los demás. Puede que ellos tengan defectos, pero no los miren, miren sus buenas cualidades. Entonces el universo entero se convierte en una familia. Este es el espíritu de «la hermandad del hombre y la paternidad de Dios». Estos sentimientos promueven la hermandad universal. Mamai Vamso Jeevaloke Jeevabhuta Sanatana (el Atma eterna en todos los seres es parte de Mi Ser). La Divinidad es la fuente de la creación entera. Ella es la creación, es la creadora y directora del universo. La Divinidad es invisible. No puede ser comprendida. Reconozcan que todos ustedes son reflejos de la Divinidad. You are born in this vast universe. You are living in this wide world. So, you should have broad feelings. Man, living in this vast world, should not have narrow feelings. It is wrong to find faults in others. There may be faults in them. But do not see their faults, see their good qualities. Then the entire universe becomes one family. This is the spirit of ‘brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God’. Such feelings promote universal brotherhood. Mamai Vamso Jeevaloke Jeevabhuta Sanatana (the eternal Atma in all beings is a part of My Being). The Divine is the source of the entire creation. He is the creation, the Creator and the director of the universe. Divinity is invisible. It cannot be understood. Recognise that you all are the reflections of the Divine. Then you will not hate anyone or feel jealous of anyone; you will be free from egotism. (Divine Discourse, Mar 5, 2000)

No necesitamos salir en busca de Dios. Dondequiera que haya verdad, Dios aparece. Donde aparece Narayana, ´también aparece Su consorte Lakshmi, la diosa de la abundancia y la prosperidad. Por lo tanto, si ustedes quieren riqueza, tienen que dar el primer paso. Cuando logren instalar al Señor Narayana en su corazón, la diosa Lakshmi seguirá a Su amo dentro de su corazón. La gracia que Dios puede darles existe en abundancia. Pero se encuentra a cierta profundidad. Se requiere un esfuerzo para obtenerla. Si tienen que sacar agua de un pozo, necesitan atar una cuerda a un cubo, bajarlo al pozo y retirar el agua. Ustedes no están atando la cuerda al cubo, ni bajándolo al pozo, de modo que no les llega el agua. La cuerda a utilizar es la de la devoción. Esta cuerda debe ser atada al recipiente de su corazón, y bajada al pozo de la gracia de Dios. Lo que reciben del pozo, cuando se retira

We need not set out to search for God. Wherever there is truth, God appears. Where Narayana appears, His consort Lakshmi, the goddess of plenty and prosperity, also appears. Hence if you want wealth, you have to take the first step! When you succeed in installing Lord Narayana in your heart, goddess Lakshmi follows her Master into your heart. There is plenty of grace that God can give you. But it is at a depth! Some effort is required to obtain it. If you need to fetch water from a well, you need to tie a rope to a bucket, lower it into the well, and draw the water out. You are neither tying the rope to the bucket nor lowering the bucket into the well, so water is therefore not reaching you. The rope to use is that of devotion. This rope must be tied to the vessel of your heart and lowered into the well of God’s grace. What you receive from the well, when the water is drawn out, is the water of pure bliss. (Divine Discourse, May 24, 2002)

El intelecto, la mente subconsciente y el corazón (buddhi, chitta y hridayam) son los tres centros de la persona donde residen la sabiduría espiritual, la acción y la devoción, respectivamente. Hagan karma (acción) que esté aprobada por la sabiduría superior, no karma nacido de la ignorancia. Entonces, todo karma será auspicioso, benéfico y bendecido. Hagan karma que esté basado en la sabiduría espiritual de que todo es Uno. Que el karma esté impregnado de devoción, humildad, amor, compasión y no violencia. Si la devoción no está llena de sabiduría espiritual, será liviana como un globo, que se deja llevar por cualquier corriente de aire o ráfaga de viento. La sola sabiduría hará que el corazón se seque; la devoción lo hace blando con simpatía. El karma da a las manos algo que hacer,
algo que santificará cada uno de los minutos que les han tocado en suerte para vivir aquí. (Divino discurso, 7 de julio de 1963)

 

The intellect, subconscious mind, and heart (buddhi, chitta, and hridayam) — these are the three centres in the individual where spiritual wisdom, action, and devotion (jnana, karma, and bhakti) reside. Do karma (action) that is approved by the higher wisdom, not karma that is born of ignorance. Then, all karma will be auspicious, beneficial, and blessed. Do karma based on the spiritual wisdom that all is One. Let karma be suffused with devotion, humility, love, compassion, and nonviolence. If devotion is not filled with spiritual wisdom, it will be as light as a balloon, which drifts along any current of air or gust of wind. Mere wisdom will make the heart dry; devotion makes it soft with sympathy, and karma gives the hands something to do, something that will sanctify every one of the minutes that have fallen to your lot to live here. (Divine Discourse, Jul 7, 1963)
