Nunca deben hablar mal de los demás. Mounat kalaham nasti (en el silencio no surgen conflictos). Saluden a quienes los ofenden. No devuelvan una ofensa con otra. Si actúan del mismo modo que su oponente, ¿cómo pueden crecer en grandeza? Mientras digan que el otro está actuando erróneamente, ¿estarán en lo correcto si actúan del mismo modo? Nunca hagan eso. Dejen que quienes los ofenden continúen con su comportamiento ofensivo. Nunca reaccionen. Deseen el bienestar de todos. Cuando todos están felices, ustedes están incluidos. Nosotros oramos por el bienestar, la riqueza y la salud de todos. Nunca le deseen el infortunio a nadie. No hay lugar para el odio en este mundo. Todos son amigos. Si persisten en esta actitud, deseando el bien a todos, y rezando por su prosperidad, ustedes mismos se convierten en un ideal para todo el mundo. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino

One should never speak ill of others. Mounat kalaham nasti (strife does not arise out of silence). Salute those who offend you. Don’t return offence with offence. If you act in the same manner as your opponent, how can you become greater? While saying that the other is acting wrongly, will you be right if you act in the same manner? Never act in this manner. Let those who commit offence continue their offensive behaviour. Never react. Wish for the welfare of everyone. When all are happy, you are included. We pray for the welfare, wealth, and health of all. Never wish for the misfortune of any other person. There is no room for hatred in this world. All are friends. If you persist in this manner, wishing well for everyone, and praying for their prosperity, you become an ideal for the whole world. (Divine Discourse, Mar 12, 2002)

El corazón del devoto fluye con el amor del Señor por medio de la recordación y recitación constante de Su nombre. La devoción emerge de este manantial de amor. Quien se nutra con el néctar de la devoción, no tendrá deseos de otra cosa. El cariño, el apego y el deseo son cualidades naturales en el hombre. Cuando estas cualidades están dirigidas hacia Dios y cuando la persona está constantemente ocupada con buenas acciones, estas cualidades adquieren pureza y sacralidad. El devoto está constantemente consciente de que el universo es una manifestación de la Divinidad y que está permeado por Él. Su vida se sustenta en el reconocimiento de la inmanencia de Dios en todo. Este estado de la mente se denomina prema Advaitam (unidad en el Amor). Por medio de este amor el devoto experimenta la unidad con la Divinidad. Disfrutando la bienaventuranza de
esta experiencia, el devoto no desea la liberación del nacimiento y de la muerte. El amor incesante del Señor lo es todo para él. Tal devoción es conocida como Ananya Bhakti (devoción total por el Uno y solo el Uno). Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 19 de enero de 1986).

 

The heart of the devotee flows with love of the Lord through constant remembrance and recitation of His name. Out of this stream of love, devotion emerges. One who is nourished by the nectar of devotion will have no desire for anything else. Affection, attachment, and desire are natural qualities in man. When these qualities are directed towards God and when one is continuously engaged in good deeds, these qualities acquire purity and sacredness. The devotee is ever conscious that the universe is a manifestation of the Divine and is permeated by Him. His life is based on the recognition of the immanence of God in everything. This state of mind is called Prema Advaitam (unity in Love.) Through this love the devotee experiences his oneness with the Divine. Enjoying the bliss of this experience, the devotee does not even desire Liberation from birth and death. Unremitting love of the Lord is everything for him. Such devotion is known as Ananya Bhakti

Cada quien debe esforzarse para llenar el corazón con una devoción verdadera. La contemplación constante en la forma del Señor y la repetición frecuente del nombre de Dios son medios por los cuales el corazón se llena del amor a Dios. Cuando hay este amor, el devoto se llena de un éxtasis indescriptible. Por causa de dicho éxtasis Kulasekhara Alwar, el santo real, exclamó: «¡Oh, Señor! La gente habla de Moksha (la liberación) como medio para redimir la vida y librarse del nacimiento y de la muerte. Yo no pido tal redención. Estaré contento con amarte y servirte a Ti en incontables vidas. Permíteme amarte y servirte a Ti ; esa es la única bendición que busco de Ti y no Moksha.” El Universo está saturado de amor. Es la encarnación de Vishnu. No hay nada en el cosmos, ningún lugar, donde Él no
esté presente. La devoción verdadera es considerar el universo como una manifestación de Dios ,y experimentarlo como tal. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. (Divino Discurso del 19 de enero de 1986)

 

Everyone must strive to fill the heart with true devotion. Constant contemplation on the form of the Lord and frequent repetition of the Lord’s name are the means by which the heart is filled with the love of God. When there is this love, the devotee is filled with inexpressible ecstasy. It was out of such ecstasy that Kulasekhara Alwar, the royal saint, exclaimed: «Oh Lord! People talk of Moksha (liberation) as the means of redeeming life and getting rid of birth and death. I do not ask for such redemption. I shall be content with loving You and serving You in countless lives. Allow me to love You and serve You – that is the only blessing I seek from You and not Moksha.» The universe is permeated with love. It is the embodiment of Vishnu. There is nothing in the cosmos, no place in it where He is not present. To regard the Universe as a manifestation of God and to experience it as such is real devotion. Los sabios se dirigían a todos los seres humanos como «Hijos de la Inmortalidad, Amirtasya- putrah.» Pero a pesar de esta afirmación tan precisa y del gozo inextinguible que se puede experimentar a partir de ella, el hombre se degrada a Anrita-putra (hijo de la falsedad), y comienza a quejarse de que le falta esto, aquello o algún otro artefacto para estar cómodo. Los ladrones que le roban los valiosos tesoros de la paz y el contento, el equilibrio y la valentía, son honrados como maestros, y los maestros que garantizan la paz, y la felicidad son tratados con irreverencia y rechazo. Pueden trabar sus puertas y ventanas contra los ladrones, pero ¿quién puede trabar la puerta contra la muerte? Los ladrones: lujuria, ira, avaricia, apego, orgullo y odio son bienvenidos como huéspedes honorables y los verdaderos buenos huéspedes como la tranquilidad y la humildad son expulsados. Bhagavan Sri

The sages addressed all human beings as ‘Children of Immortality, Amirtasya-putrah.» But in spite of this definite assurance and the inexhaustible joy that can be experienced therefrom, man degrades himself into an Anrita-putra (child of falsehood) and starts wailing that he lacks this, that or some other comfort or contraption! Thieves who rob him of valuable treasures like peace and contentment, equipoise and courage, are being honoured as masters, and masters who ensure peace and happiness are treated with irreverence and disgust. You can bolt your doors and windows against thieves, but who can bolt the door against death? The thieves – lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride and hate – are honoured as welcome guests and the real well-wishers like tranquillity and humility are shown the door!
