Cada cosa en la naturaleza tiene su Dharma. El agua tiene su Dharma: la naturaleza y obligación de moverse; el fuego, el Dharma de quemar y consumir; el imán, de atraer hacia sí. Y cada uno de ellos mantiene invariable su Dharma, incluyendo el sistema solar y las estrellas del universo. Entre las cosas dotadas de conciencia o Chaitanya, las plantas y árboles, los insectos y pájaros, los nacidos de huevo o los mamíferos, todos han sido capaces de conservar su Dharma inafectado por el paso del tiempo. Sin embargo, la humanidad, cuya inteligencia abarca desde lo inerte e infinitesimal hasta lo supraconsciente y universal, es lo único viviente que ha caído y va en descenso. El Dharma prescribe «Satyam vada» y «Dharmam chara»: decir la verdad y practicar la rectitud. Examinen cada momento de su tiempo de vigilia para comprobar si están observando el Dharma o se
están extraviando. Llenen cada momento con pensamientos, palabras y acciones que reflejen su comprensión del Dharma. (Divino Discurso, 15 de abril de 1964)

 

Every single thing in Nature has its Dharma; water has its Dharma, the nature and obligation to move; fire, the Dharma to burn and consume; the magnet, to attract and draw unto itself. And, every one of these is keeping up its Dharma unchanged, including the Solar system and the stars of the Universe. Amongst things endowed with Consciousness or Chaitanya, plants and trees, insects and birds, born out of eggs or the mammals – all have managed to treasure their Dharma unaffected by the passage of time. But humanity, whose intelligence sweeps from the inert and the infinitesimal to the Super-conscious and the Universal, is the only living thing that has slipped, and is sliding down. Dharma prescribes ‘Satyam vada’ and ‘Dharmam chara’ – Speak the truth and practice righteousness. Examine every moment of your waking time whether you are observing Dharma or straying away? Fill every moment with thoughts, words and deeds
