La semilla de la Divinidad tiene que ser fomentada por el esfuerzo humano y el cuidado constante, a fin de que pueda florecer y fructificar. Remuevan de su mente toda traza de deseo de hacer daño a los demás en pensamiento, palabra y acción. El resultado de complacerse en tal comportamiento dañino, temporalmente satisfactorio, es desastroso. Cada uno de esos pensamientos es una semilla, una maleza salvaje plantada en su propia mente. Crecerá y destruirá su propia paz y alegría. Por lo tanto, manténganse alertas con respecto a tales tendencias. Limpien sus pensamientos, palabras y acciones para que sean apropiados para aquellos que marchan hacia lo Divino. El egoísmo es la úlcera que destruye la caridad. A pesar de que son conscientes de que algo es malo, el egoísmo no les permitirá desistir. Pueden superarlo con una firme determinación. Compartan alegremente con
los demás el conocimiento, las habilidades y la riqueza que han ganado, las ideas y los ideales de los que se han beneficiado, así como la alegría de practicar la disciplina y la dedicación. Compartirlos no los disminuirá ni los devaluará, por el contrario: los hará brillar con más esplendor. Discurso Divino del 21 de abril de 1983.

 

The seed of Divinity must be fostered by human effort and steady care to blossom and fructify. Remove from your mind all traces of desire to harm others, in thought, word and deed. The result of indulging in such temporarily satisfying behavior to cause harm is disastrous. Each such thought is a seed, a wild weed planted in your own mind. It will grow and destroy your own peace and joy. So, be vigilant against such tendencies. Cleanse your thoughts, words and deeds to be appropriate to those marching towards the Divine. Selfishness is the canker that destroys charity. Though you are aware that it is wrong, selfishness will not allow you to desist. You can overcome it through steady determination. Joyfully share with others the knowledge, skills and wealth you earned, ideas and ideals you benefited from, and the joy of practising discipline and dedication. Sharing will not diminish them or devalue them, but will make them shine with added splendour.
