Den la bienvenida a todos los golpes del destino, a los infortunios y penurias, así como el oro da la bienvenida al crisol, el martillo y el yunque, que lo transforman en una hermosa joya. O como la caña, que da la bienvenida al machete, la prensa, la caldera, la batea, el rociador y el secador, para que su dulzura pueda ser preservada y usada por todos como azúcar. Los Pandavas nunca objetaron los desastres que cayeron a menudo sobre ellos. Estaban felices porque los desastres los ayudaban a recordar a Krishna, y a llamarlo. Sométanse a la voluntad de Dios. Nunca busquen poder o posición; sométanse en cambio a Su voluntad, para sentirse siempre felices e impávidos. El Señor corre hacia el devoto más rápido que el devoto hacia Él. Si dan un paso hacia Él, ¡Él dará cien pasos hacia ustedes! Será más que una madre o un padre. Los
estimulará desde dentro, así como ha salvado y alentado a muchos santos que pusieron su fe en Él. (Discurso Divino, 8 de septiembre de 1963)

 

Welcome all the blows of fate, the misfortunes and miseries, just as gold welcomes the crucible, hammer and the anvil, to transform into a beautiful jewel. Or as the cane welcomes the chopper, crusher, boiler, pan, sprayer and dryer, so that its sweetness may be preserved and used as sugar by all. The Pandavas never demurred when disasters fell thick upon them. They were happy that disasters helped them to remember Krishna and call upon Him. Submit to the will of God. Never seek power or position but submit to His Will so that you may be ever happy and unmoved. The Lord rushes toward the devotee faster than the devotee rushes to Him. If you take one step toward Him, He takes a hundred steps toward you! He will be more than a mother or father. He will foster you from within you, just as He has saved and fostered so many saints who have placed faith in Him! (Divine Discourse, Sep 08, 1963)
