Como una vasija de bronce que debe ser fregada con tamarindo, lavada y secada hasta que brille como nueva, tu mente también debe ser tratada con bondad y servicialmente, con repetición de los Nombres del Señor, efectuando acciones benéficas y contemplando el bienestar de todos. El sol siempre está arriba, en el cielo, cada día, y son las nubes pasajeras las que a veces lo ocultan de tu vista. Similarmente, el mundo sensorial es la nube que esconde el Alma Divina (Atma) que está brillando siempre en el firmamento de tu corazón.¡La misma mente que reúne a las nubes también puede dispersarlas en un instante! Porque es el viento el que las junta desde todas direcciones y hace oscurecer el cielo, y al momento siguiente ¡cambian de dirección y son enviadas en remolino hacia donde provinieron! Así también tu mente es todopoderosa. Entrénala para
dispersar las nubes de la ilusión, no para congregarlas. (Divino Discurso, 12 Abril 1959).

 

Like a brass vessel that must be scrubbed with tamarind, washed and dried to shine like new, your mind also must be treated with goodness and service, repetition of the Lord’s name, execution of beneficial deeds, and contemplation of the well-being of all. The Sun is up here in the sky, every day. It is the passing clouds that sometimes hide it from your vision. Similarly, the sensory world is the cloud that hides the Divine Soul (Atma) who is ever shining in the firmament of your heart. The same mind that gathers the clouds can also disperse them in an instance! For, it is the wind that collects them from all the quarters and renders the sky dark. And in the next moment, they change the direction and send them in a scurry to wherever they came from! So too, your mind is all powerful. Train it to disperse the clouds of illusion, not gather them. [Divine Discourse, 12 April 1959]
