El servicio al prójimo es más necesario que el servicio al Señor mismo. De hecho, ese servicio es igual al servicio a Dios. Ese es el camino de la verdadera devoción. Porque, ¿qué medios pueden ser mejores para complacer a Dios, que complacer a Sus propios hijos? El Purusha Sukta dice que la Divinidad (Purusha) tiene mil cabezas, mil ojos y mil pies. Esto es lo mismo que decir «Todos son Él». Si bien se mencionan mil cabezas, mil ojos y mil pies, no hay ninguna mención a mil corazones. ¡Hay un solo corazón! La misma sangre circula por todas las manos, los ojos, los pies y las extremidades. Cuando ustedes cuidan una extremidad, están ciertamente cuidando al cuerpo entero. De la misma manera, cuando sirven a su prójimo, con toda seguridad están sirviendo a Dios. («Mensajes de Sathya Sai», Volumen 6, Capítulo 2 – Marzo de 1966)

 

Service of fellow human beings is more needed than service to the Lord Himself. In fact, such service is equal to the service of God. That is the path of real devotion. For what greater means can there be to please God than pleasing His very own children? The Purusha Sukta speaks of the Divine (Purusha) as having a thousand heads, a thousand eyes and a thousand feet. This is to say, “All are He!”. Though there is the mention of a thousand heads, a thousand eyes and a thousand feet, there is no mention of a thousand hearts! There is only one Heart! The same blood circulates through all the hands, eyes, feet and limbs. When you tend the limb, you are indeed tending the whole body.
