La Divinidad es totalmente libre de interés personal; todo lo que hace es completamente intachable, y es sólo para beneficio del mundo. No hay nada que esté fuera del alcance de Sus poderes. Él es el creador, el protector y el destructor. Cuando Dios elige proteger, nadie pregunta por qué protege. Por el contrario, cuando Dios no protege, la gente cuestiona Su inacción; y cuando el Señor castiga, la gente pregunta «¿Por qué inflige Dios castigo?». Desde luego, tales preguntas están motivadas por el egoísmo y el interés personal. Toda acción divina es justa e irreprochable. El deber de ustedes es rezar a Dios y conseguir Su Gracia. Cuando Sakkubai quiso unirse a los peregrinos que iban a Pandharpur, el Señor Krishna decidió mostrar al mundo la buena reputación de ella, y su conciencia del deber hacia su esposo y parientes
políticos. De modo que Krishna asumió la forma de ella y se sometió a todo tipo de hostigamiento por parte de su suegra, mientras la verdadera Sakkubai estaba felizmente lejos, en Pardharpur. El Señor está siempre dispuesto a someterse a cualquier sufrimiento para defender el Dharma y derramar Su Gracia sobre Sus devotos. (Discurso Divino, 21 de febrero de 1988)

 

The Divine is totally free from self-interest; whatever He does is utterly blameless and is solely for the welfare of the world. There is nothing beyond His powers. He is the creator, the protector and the destroyer. When God chooses to protect, no one asks why He protects. On the other hand, when God does not protect, people question His inaction and when the Lord punishes, people ask, “Why does God inflict punishment?” Indeed, such questions are motivated by selfishness and self-interest. Every Divine action is just and righteous. Your duty is to pray to God and secure His Grace. When Sakkubai wanted to join the pilgrims going to Pandharpur, Lord Krishna decided to show to the world her good reputation, and duty-consciousness towards her husband and in-laws. So Krishna assumed her form and subjected Himself to all kinds of harassments from her mother-in-law, while the real Sakkubai was blissfully away in Pandharpur. The Lord is ever
ready to subject Himself to any hardship to uphold Dharma and shower Grace on His devotees.
