Todas las religiones enseñan una disciplina básica: eliminar de la mente la mancha del egoísmo, la de correr en pos de pequeñas alegrías. Toda religión enseña a los seres humanos que llenen su corazón con la gloria de Dios, desalojando la mezquindad del engreimiento. Los entrena en métodos de desapego y discernimiento, para que puedan apuntar alto y alcanzar la liberación. Crean que todos los corazones están motivados por el Dios uno y único; que todos los credos glorifican al Dios uno y único; que todos los nombres en todos los idiomas y formas que puedan concebir, denotan al Dios uno y único; y que la mejor manera de adorarlo es por medio del amor. Cultiven esa actitud de unidad (Eka-bhava) entre las personas de todos los credos, todos los países y todos los continentes. Ese es el mensaje de amor que Yo traigo. Ese es el mensaje que deseo que se
tomen a pecho. Cultiven el amor, vivan en el amor, difundan el amor; este es el ejercicio espiritual que rendirá el máximo beneficio. (Divino Discurso, 4 de julio de 1968)

 

All religions teach one basic discipline – the removal from the mind of the blemish of egoism, of running after little joy. Every religion teaches human beings to fill his heart with the glory of God, and evict the pettiness of conceit. It trains you in methods of detachment and discrimination, so that you can aim high and attain liberation. Believe that all hearts are motivated by the one and only God; that all faiths glorify the one and only God; that all names in all languages and all forms you can conceive, denote the one and only God; and that His adoration is best done by means of love. Cultivate that attitude of Oneness (Eka-bhava), between people of all creeds, all countries and all continents. That is the message of love I bring. That is the message I wish you to take to heart.
