En tanto una persona se encuentre inmersa en el apego al cuerpo, la atormentarán todo tipo de penurias y miserias. El apego al cuerpo es la causa fundamental de los pensamientos (sankalpas). De ahí que el Señor Krishna exhortó a las personas a abandonar el apego al cuerpo. La derivación clave de esta declaración es que cada ser debe experimentar la unidad en la diversidad. Sin un individuo (vyashti), no puede haber una sociedad (samashti). Sin una sociedad, no hay creación (srishti). Así que todos están conectados, y primero debemos reconocer claramente el papel de un individuo (vyashti). Sólo entonces podemos entender el principio de samashti, que a su vez conducirá a la comprensión de srishti. El que comprende srishti se convierte en uno con paramesthi (Dios). Vyashti simboliza al individuo mientras que Samashti representa a Dios. En tanto vyashti se identifique con
el cuerpo, llevará una vida muy ordinaria. Despójense del apego al cuerpo, y luego se darán cuenta de que el alma individual es de hecho una con el Espíritu Cósmico. (Discurso Divino 10 de septiembre de 2002)

 

So long as a person is immersed in body attachment, all types of hardships and misery will haunt. Body attachment is the root cause of thoughts (sankalpas). Hence Lord Krishna exhorted people to give up body attachment. The key derivation from this statement is that every being should experience unity in diversity. Without an individual (vyashti), there cannot be a society (samashti). Without a society, there is no creation (srishti). So all these are connected, and we must first clearly recognise the role of an individual (vyashti). Only then can we understand the principle of samashti, which will in turn lead to the understanding of srishti. One who understands srishti becomes one with paramesthi (God). Vyashti symbolises the individual whereas Samashti stands for God. So long as vyashti identifies themselves with the body, they lead a very ordinary life. Shed the body attachment, then you will find that the individual soul is indeed one with the
